I had no clue the Cricut could do this! I think everytime I learn something new the Cricut can do I've learned all it's capabilities and then I learn it can do something new!
Hi! Thank you so much for this video. Really great tips and perfect tutorial. I followed the steps exactly but my envelopes kept ripping during the deboss step. I got my envelopes from Etsy. It could be that they are not as thick as yours... but if this is happening to anyone else, here is what worked for me: I ended up buying a fresh new mat. My mat looked like Amy's does in this video - I watched another YT tutorial that said sometimes a mat, even with tiny debris, can cause ripping when debossing. I bought the exact kraft cardstock that Amy is using and used her cut settings as well. The letters I was debossing were "R | C" (in the same font as Amy used). My letter 'C' kept moving on the mat during debossing and that's what was causing the problem - I guess because the letter C is thinner than the A that Amy was debossing and C is, of course, curved whereas A is straight. I tried using the brayer tool to make the letters stick better by pressing down REALLY hard lol That would work for maybe 3-4 envelopes before the C moved again and caused the envelopes to rip again. I took a fine point blade pen that I purchased a while back from Temu and scraped only the start and end of the letter C where the deboss kept moving the letter on the mat. That helped a lot. I also changed my deboss setting from Default pressure to Less pressure. No other envelopes ripped and they looked perfect! Hope this helps anyone going through the same thing. Thanks again Amy for such a great video!
very late, but I *think* iiuc it's to prevent the design to move or the cricut decide to print/cut somewhere else than you choosed. I'm not certain but that's what I understood at leasrt x) I smn else can confirm... ^^
@@AmyMakesThat so that means we can choose to only buy 1 quick swap tool attachment...the deboss bottom and then we can emboss and deboss? To save money? If that's what you mean then I'm extremely happy and thank you!
I have the deboss tool and use it a lot to finish my 3d houses roofs, but i want to ask about deboss and foil i want to be able to have both so my roofs have the debsoo /emboss and then the foil added to this also do you know if this can be done at all please ..TIA
The Cricut explore air 2 is not compatible with the debossing tip - that’s probably why it’s not showing up on the toolbar! I believe you may be able to do the same effect with the scoring stylus (but I haven’t tried this).

I literally just found out & learned myself! It’s amazing what the Cricut can do 😊

BIG yessss for a tutorial about changing material settings, please. Many thanks for the embossing video! ❤
Wooo!! That tutorial is coming soon 😎 happy you enjoyed!
Great tutorials. I would like to know more about the setting and how to cut the thick cardstock.
Best embossing tutorial! I am so confused on the TT method, could you explain? I am unsure on how the triangles help?

I’m so glad you enjoyed! It really does add such a beautiful touch to any project!
Amazing video! Thank you so much.
You're very welcome! Glad it helped :)
hi Amy thanks for this I learned a lot, however I don't understand the TT method please simplify
i saw you put them on the design space but were they placed on the mat? I didn't see them.... a shorts video on this maybe? thanks
Hi Amy, quick question it shows Deboss first then basic cut. Shouldn’t it be the opposite? Do I cut my design first then deboss it?
Amazing video ❤ so to emboss, I would need a deboss tool?
Thank you! And correct, that’s what I did in today’s tutorial!

Can you do an emboss tutorial for a pattern on a full sheet ... ty
You emboss and deboss like a boss. Thanks for the tutorial.
😂😂 as I was editing I said to myself, “should I say deboss like a boss?” Great minds!! So glad I could make this tutorial 🤎🫶🏼
@@AmyMakesThatlol, you should absolutely say that next time 😊
Great video! Explore Air 2 owner here... do you think using the score tool with a lighter pressure might work?
it doesn't hurt to try it out!
I would like to learn
Great video! Thank you
Thanks for watching!! 🤎

You are great in Making and Thanks for TT methods
Hey Amy, you know if you wash your Mat with soapy water and a sponge, let it air dry, you will have the Stickiness back
Hey TheRedHorsemen5313, I’ve washed this mat about 3 times now. It’s time i just buy a new one, but the show must go on!
I have a cricut machine 2 and i don’t have the option for emboss on the operation toolbar

We don't have 100 lb here. Can posterboard be used?
I don’t see why not! I’d definitely do some test cuts before just in case 😅
@@AmyMakesThatthank you. I will do that.
Is this like letterpressing??
yes very similar!!
I don’t think my Cricut Explore 3 can do this? 🥺 I wish there was a way for me to be able to do this
Use a scoring pen
When I choose the deboss operation I get a message that says “ no attributes for fine Denis’s operation “ I don’t know how to fix it??
Oh no!! I’m not sure I haven’t experience this myself. Have you been in contact with Cricut customer service?
