This captures and conveys so many wonderful subtleties in the text. Acting this good is not mere play, but soul-work and visionary.

I absolutely love the subtle nervousness she displays here. It's like coming face to face with the girl you've been crushing on forever only to see she's been crushing on you just as hard, and that vulnerability makes you love her even more.

I love that she is like a high schooler confessing their crush on the boy they like. She knows what she is saying, she is courageous in confessing her love.

I would really like to see a whole production with her in the role of Juliet. She really captures the emotion of the scene, and makes me have feelings too.
Been addicted to Shakespeare since I was a kid, and this is the best Juliet I've ever seen. More please.

A girl this young puts in the most nuanced performance of any of the actresses on here.

Thou know'st the mask of night is on my face, Else would a maiden blush bepaint my cheek For that which thou hast heard me speak to-night Fain would I dwell on form, fain, fain deny What I have spoke: but farewell compliment! Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say 'Ay,' And I will take thy word: yet if thou swear'st, Thou mayst prove false; at lovers' perjuries
Then say, Jove laughs. O gentle Romeo,
If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully:
Or if thou think'st I am too quickly won,
I'll frown and be perverse an say thee nay, So thou wilt woo; but else, not for the world. In truth, fair Montague, I am too fond,
And therefore thou mayst think my 'havior light: But trust me, gentleman, I'll prove more true Than those that have more cunning to be strange. I should have been more strange, I must confess, But that thou overheard'st, ere I was ware,
My true love's passion: therefore pardon me,
    .
And not impute this yielding to light love, Which the dark night hath so discovered.

'...at lovers perjuries they say Jove laughs...'

  • @kxmode

You know it's dark, or you'd see me blushing for what I've said tonight.
I wish I could play it cool, deny what I've spoken, and stick to proper manners, but I can't.
    Do you love me?
I know you'll say "yes," and I'll believe you. But even if you swear it, who knows if you're being
honest? They say the gods laugh at lovers' lies. Oh, Romeo, if you love me, say it honestly.
If you think I've given in too quickly, I'll frown and act stubborn, just so you'll chase me-
but only for fun, not seriously.
Honestly, I do love you too much, and you might think I'm acting too freely. But trust me,
I'll be more loyal than those who play hard to get. I should've been more reserved, I admit.
But you overheard me before I realized you were there, so you caught me revealing my true
    feelings.
Please forgive me, and don't think my openness is out of shallow love just because
the night has let you see this side of me.

She should have frowned and been perverse and said nay at least once. These two needed an extra day or two to get their timing down together.
