Love your approach. I’ve been using sticks and other found “brushes” and blind drawing ever since I did a workshop with you at Harold Reid reserve about 3 years ago. 👍 very inspiring!
You bring exactly the ideas I need at this time. I have loved your instagram posts as well. I am in my little home studio hours a day working on a daily painting project and now drawings based on your inspiriation. This is from Plymouth, MA - Thank You! Stay safe.
I am so enjoying your videos! I have been creating art everyday while isolating here in Los Angeles. We try to keep busy, my husband working in his wood shop and I in my studio. I have collected sticks, twigs and feathers for years which should make some great marks! Thank you for sharing your wonderful painting tips!
Dear Debbie, it is wonderful watch you painting. Thank you very much for reminding to use different tools. You inspired me. You look very beautiful and sweet. Love from İstanbul :))))
Hi Debbie, just want to tell you how much your videos inspire me all the way over in Denmark. Would you please consider making a video on your gellipriting of seaweed? Thank you for all your effort in sharing your experimenting in markmaking and painting.😍😍😍😍
super fun! in an hour or so you have distracted me and given me some ideas. I must get the lady who is coming tomorrow to cut the garden down to leave me some sticks! Best R
Thanks Debbie. Very inspiring the way you make different marks. Could you pleas say what the name of the bottle of black something is. I think the brand is Atelier.
Thanks for my morning inspiration!
Glad it’s inspiring you

hope you found some sticks to play with!
@@debbiemackinnon7202 Yes! Or rather flower stems. I used agapanthus stems which seemed for some reason to hold more paint than bamboo. Best R
Thank you for your generosity Debbie, I’ve learned a lot although the doing is so different to the watching 🤨
glad you enjoyed it! yes it all takes a bit of practice, but now you have time!
I loved this and you but can’t find many other videos from you :(
Hopefully I’ll do some more shortly…! Glad you enjoyed it

Hi Julie - its acrylic ink. You can use any brand, but best if its artists quality. Glad you enjoyed the video
I am enjoying watching these vids, and you are a good artist--but you speak so softly and the volume is so low I can't hear you.
try to enjoy the visuals as I was doing this with no pro equipment during lockdown.
Do you have an idea what your marks will become, when you start?
no - that's the whole point - allow the random marks to guide you
@@debbiemackinnon7202 Thank you for the reply. I will try this.
Very nice demo but the writing covers the work, and sometimes the audio is very soft.
Noted! i did make this in lockdown with no special microphone, hopefully Im getting better at recording
Like the instruction , but voice could be louder and more clear, working noise interferes , thanks.
just watch the visuals. This isn't a professional recording and I had to learn as I went with no microphone during lockdown. Hope you can still enjoy
