Thanks for sharing Debbie.I must try the blind contour drawing.I used to paint tiger lilies on silk and it sort of reminded me of that. Will try the long stick.Haven’t done watercolours yet but I feel after watching your free approach I could give it a go.Great to show that there’s no mistakes that can’t be used in some other way or painted over.Love that.❤
Wow every single time you turn out a piece that just does it for me; so scrumptious! A visceral response. Your process is meditative, instructive and reassuring that even you have your struggles (like all the great artists!) and have to rescue parts you’re not happy with. It’s such a learning for me - especially how you bring back a piece that’s not going where you want it to. You have encouraged me to just go for it and see what turns out. I do it for my own pleasure - not in any way to exhibit or sell but I do love it. Thanks for your generosity because I can’t afford to pay for this knowledge and tuition.
Delighted you enjoyed my journey here and bold moves!
I love how you show us the failures as well as the successes. It’s all a great learning experience for me. Thanks for sharing your process ❤️
Every so called ‘failure’ leads to new discoveries!
Always inspiring! Thank you
glad you felt inspired!
Great to see your process through a major change of direction.
Sometimes really bold moves are required! Many thanks
Great stuff Debbie, good things come after bad 😉👍😊 A great exercise in how to keep going, thank you.....lol Ali Oban UK
So true! just got to keep on keeping on... looking forward to returning to beautiful Scotland... one day
Thank you Debbie your drawing and watercolor just amazing!!!
so pleased you enjoyed it! thanks Debbie
I am loving your art sooo much. I have no words to describe the excitement I feel, but it wants to burst out of my chest. And to be able to FINALLY see how this type of flower painting is created makes me feel like I have perchance stumbled upon the holy grail. You know the feeling when it seems like you have 'arrived'? That's how I feel now.
Wow that’s a incredibly positive response! Delighted to have inspired such enthusiasm. You can always see more work on my Instagram accounts and website - @debbiemackinnon @drawwithdebbie debbiemackinnon.com
Many thanks for watching
Debbie

My pleasure 😊
How beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
so pleased you enjoyed seeing a bit of my process
Love this thank you
You are so welcome!
Great painting. Slightly frustrating that the camera is so close that you cannot see more of the image as you work though.
I’m just sharing a bit of my process. A one woman show without a camera person... sorry if you couldn’t see the whole thing. The limitations of my phone holder..,! I learn more with every video I make. Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing Debbie.. it’s so useful to see how by ‘destroying’ a painting you’re not happy with you can reinject the freedom of expression you are looking for. Love this approach 😊
@@sandraheath809 glad you enjoyed my process of recreating works that didn't quite get there first time
I love how you work but I can’t hear you clearly or see the whole artwork. Perhaps move the camera back a bit?
HI Jan, I am a one woman show, trying to learn how to video myself, talk and paint all at the same time, I'm getting a bit better at it! Offering all this process for free so I hope you will be patient with me... All best and thanks for watching, Debbie
I was learning how to video and record and work all at the same time... freely offered and I get better each time I do one!
