Just bought the frame and I'm planning on making an all custom parts build with it. I love that is has dual top tube surf bars like a gt bike I used to have as a young mad lad.

That's my problem with a lot of these old school inspired frames. The rear end length is always crazy long. If they made these so the rear wheel could be adjusted between 12.5" and 13.5", they'd be way better off. And would sell a lot more of them. The 2018 Flatland Master (not the Lineage versions) got closer to realistic specs. But that's because it was based on Yull's specified geometry. Then they went right back to "Dad Cruiser" frame specs. Otherwise, the Prody frames are pretty cool.

I wouldn't have minded this bike when I was first getting into bmx a few years ago. I someone got this it could really get them back into riding. I think they would eventually want a modern spec bike.

I actually really like this. Unfortunately, after getting my Switch; I got overly confident and thought I could just do what I used to be able to. My old body disagreed and I suffered a back injury. I sold it the other day. I don't regret getting it or selling it. I tried and failed; you can't fail unless you try. I still really appreciate the help I received from you. But I'm thinking a bigger bike just to get exercise on is going to be something my body can handle rather than a skatepark or street riding.

I don't think you tried and failed, rather you tried it and then made a decision against it; they are not the same. I've tried to get back into BMX a couple of times but it didn't work out; I think I bought the wrong bikes geometry-wise, plus like you say, it's not like you can easily do what you used to be able to do. The thing about that is we're often too proud to accept that we are pretty-much newbies again, so we move on, whereas if (older riders) could try and embrace that fact and start with the basics, they might be able to enjoy it all over again. All that said, if your body screams 'NOPE' (like it did when I tried sports motorcycles for the first time aged around 40), then it's difficult to fight against it and continue regardless!

@@soots-stayingoutofthespotl5495 Yeah I fell just trying a manual and hurt my back pretty bad. I looked at it like this "am i really gonna go to skateparks and try to relearn this?" and my answer was always no. I don't regret getting it and try. I think I'll just get a mountain bike for exercise and going on trails. I had fun while it lasted. Didn't get as much as I would have liked to; but I know that once it comes out of that box...it's value drops.

@@soots-stayingoutofthespotl5495 I was a flat land guy 87 to about 90 and then briefly again around 96. I don’t see myself pulling hang fives again at 47 but maybe! 😂 i’m definitely going to be pulling pinky squeaks, rolling boomerangs and Funky chickens though!

If I had the money, I would buy one of these! This is the type of BMX I really want! I like the old school design with the modern more robust components. It checks all the boxes for me! I just wish I had the money to buy one, at least I have a decent BMX until I can get one of those one day.

I'm a fat Phuck pushing it at 5'10 310lbs. I'm in a severe panic mode. This is the largest I've ever been in my life. I used to skateboard back in my teen years. I mean religiously. My toes and feet aren't what they used to be.
So I'm thinking about doing BMX as a way to reintroduce my body and reflexes back into a sharp state.
Is there any build for beginner BMX'rs that won't break the $500 mark? Please and thank you.

Not as good as the colony apprentice for flatland but it’s a close second

@@Dougsterbob so l take it it can still be suitable for flatland too then. Thinking of getting back into riding after seeing some old guys at 58 still doing it. I use to ride flatland in the early 90’s. Do you think this could hold a guy 5 10” , 82kg?
