The Colony Premise is a great all-around bike with features to match including a full chromoly frame, chromoly fork and bars, sealed bearings throughout, and a selection of aftermarket Colony parts.
The forks aren't just full Chromoly, they also feature a 1-piece CNC'd steerer tube. Add a Federal drive-side universal hub guard and some pegs and you're set! Fantastic, light bike!
Ya Buddy I just bought a bloody black premise last month. It is amazing. Light and strong. In person it’s more black than red. It’s sick. And 110 psi tires. I’m colony for life now. I’m 6ft tall and it feels awesome. !!!!! I thought your frame looked like a sweet tooth!!!!!
same bro I bought the bmx in black 3 months ago and its perfect I learned bunnyhop and manual in 2 weeks, its perfect 👌
Thanks for the review. I just ordered one myself and got it for $580 US
thank for this review, I just got mine second hand today and its solid and nice
I’m of the opinion that $600+ bmx bikes are when things really start to be able to take a beating. When I started riding as a racer in 03-04, you couldn’t even get a complete with 25/9 gearing for under $700. Times have changed, quality has gotten better, bikes have gotten lighter, and we as riders are reaping the benefits.
What are your thoughts on gt bikes I don’t remember the name but one was $450 it was orange with blue tires and I’m pretty sure it was high ten steel and some other stuff
Dan’s Comp has the Premise for a steal right now. It’s priced at $499.00. I just scooped one up. What universal hub guard is recommended for the drive side? It doesn’t appear Colony has anything specific unless it’s a freecoaster.
Would you recommend this bike for a beginner if it was on sale for 500$
I just picked up a leftover blood/black model at a LBS for US$500. So this an amazing quality bike for that price. It feels good all around, I'm just adding dirt specific tires and a longer stem.
Hows it going with dirt riding? im about to do the same
@@red97miata34 it's pretty good. The stock tires seem plenty grippy for maintained dirt parks. This has "all purpose geometry", so not intended for big dirt jump sends, but super fun for pump lines and smaller jumps. I'm still very impressed with the bike overall.
@@willimassinger6469 ayee thanks for the reply im buying one tonight as a left over for a good discount. All i do is dirt pump track small jumps nothing crazy so i think imma get it.
i have been riding this bike for 8 months and it is amazing 360 are realy easy to learn it rides good on street but is also perfect in park it is suuuper light and i think it is the best bike for 800
I picked one up for under 450 on dans
How is a Gyro necessary for a good park score?
Considering your not riding breakless, you can bar spin, tail whip ect without the break cable getting wrapped up around the bike.
Can you put up prices in AUD? I know a good/pro level is $1,500 aud
The COlony Premise is 999AUD
I got mine for 850aud.
Retail 1000 aud but can be shopped around for 850 aud
Aussie Aussie Aussie

I like ur reviews in general. I think you understand most of the time what you're talking about but, if you're being honest with yourself, you will see that you can be biased towards something that you like or use, like this bike for example. Generally, you don't like we the people even though they have the same specs and even better specs in many cases, but you rarely recommend them. You say you like wtp, but you don't, and you always complain about them and their high price tag. I'm not criticizing you here, man, I'm just saying.
I like comments like this since my goad is to help people get into Bmx. I don’t care which brand they buy as long as it’s a good bike for them. I’m making big changes to how I score the bikes so that future reviews can be based more on fact and less on opinion. When I did wtp 2021 line it was at a time where others 2021 bikes with similar quality were much cheaper. Now with the price increases of 2022 bikes the 2021 models seem pretty solid in terms of value. Wtp has raised prices slightly but still stayed competitive with other 2022 priced bikes. However I will admit that one thing I over looked was the amount of after market parts the wtp includes on even the base model bikes. This is taken into account on the new scoring system. As far as colony, I never reviewed their complete bikes because I kinda assumed they were junk, when I actually took a look I was pretty impressed. Anyway I do love the comment because things like this help me become better. Thank you good sir
@@Dougsterbob love and peace to you man and thank you sir
$600 at American cycle
Subrosa Griffin it's just a frame but a review would be nice
I’ll take a look!
The scores don't reflect your comments. You constantly contradict yourself.
