- First selection from the "1740 sessions" shot on a break from touring in the Berkshires of Mill River, Mass. I had the pleasure of tagging along with the band for a few days as they came through New England and managed to shoot the acoustic afternoon jam seseion.

I found this song about 12 years ago, it must of been I remember showing it my girlfriend and she wasn't as impressed as I was....I haven't listened to this in so long!
I really like the lyric change from “pantry boy” to “country boy”
which is funny because I've always misheard that lyric and thought morrisey actually said country boy instead of pantry :)

To me, Johnny Marr's playing has always seemed inadvertently reminiscent of flatpickin guitar, especially with all the alternate picking and rolls he does with big open chords.
he was always Inspired by folk guitar.
Anonymous Caveman on this song specifically he has said that the guitar runs were his take on Highlife style guitar which is a genre originated in Ghana.

I hate covers of songs I love. This is the best one I've ever seen, and makes essentially a new, and equally good song. Keeps the spirit of the track while also making it completely unlike the original. The vocal melody is particularly amazing. You hit the notes perfectly to transform it into a bluegrass type of thing.
