Yes, brilliant observation. Quality covers are the only way to listen to the Smiths, Because SPM poor vocals, stage presence and bad dancing ruined the Smiths for many.

One of the few covers of this superb song that does it justice. Soulful interpretation from a female voice. Beautiful. Moving.

A stunning cover of a good song! Sometimes there comes along an artist who performs the original song better than the composer(s) & this is one of those moments. I have never heard of this band until I came across this on ABC tv, on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Wonderful! Have checked out some other songs from Jess Cornelius & Teeth & Tongue. Great!
