Huge respect to all the Helldivers who stand with their brothers from other countries who are being kicked out by SONY because their country does not allow a Playstation account. Until Sony actually fixes this injustice a negative review for Helldivers2 is a badge of honor for each player.

We may lose a lot of Helldivers' cause of Sony's decision. Giving the Automatons the upper hand in their quest for Super Earth.
It was caused by us. There was too many of us when the game first came out so Sony had to lift the psn requirement to releave the server load or some crap. The game description has always said a psn account was required. Sony had just reactivated the requirement after the first 3 months are now passed.

Are they supposed to get a free pass from this, or are they not gonna be able to play the game at all?

BREAKING NEWS: SONY HAVE NUKED SUPER EARTH. Nothing is known for sure and could take 30 days to get casualty numbers but the primary Helldiver forces have been severely hit.

Sony's surprise attack on the systems and majorly stalling helldiver deployment is going to cause many, many losses.
Sony is basically solarflare anomaly causing ships hyperdrive to not be able to travel into hyperspace making reinforcements deployment rlly low

The new PSN-forms for enlistment renewal have caused controversy as they hold up potentially thousands of Helldivers from further service. In a rare moment of direct protest circumventing the Managed Democracy algorithms, citizens have petitioned the Super Senate to streamline or reverse this form-signing process.

I really hope you do another news update soon. I just enlisted and it was a honor to hear about the operations that came before I enlisted. Sony chose to deceive. I personally would have refunded if made to create an account at a proper time.

If Sony doesn't revert this mandatory PSN account link by the end of this month I will return to civilian life. It's been an honor serving alongside Helldivers but this was the straw that broke the camel's back. It turned out that Sony was a bigger threat to Super Earth than both the bugs and clankers combined.

Class Action Lawsuit against Steam and Sony.....
We are only able to request 30 bucks each, about 2 dollars after legal fees, but it is about sending the message. One can not remove the word 'Optional' from the terms and service, then not refund those now forced out of the system or refusing to go forward with the new system. Sony is well known for Data Breaches, and this new account requires a new Terms and Service agreement... making one purchase now have multiple 'change on a whim' agreements.
Refunds... at the very least, offer refunds.

Sounds like there are great things coming to Helldivers... Shame I won't be able to play because PSN isn't available in my country.
And for the inevitable "just use a VPN lulz" comments, that's illegal and would allow them to terminate my account at any time, as well as risking a fine from my government.

What you would need to do is get in touch with a lawyer to see if the change is legal or at least you can get a refund

Rip this game. Many soldiers needed on the front lines will be missed. I am one of them. Song has attacked the hell divers force more than any termanids had.
On 2:05 you can see the supply lines between the planets. This makes so much clearer! And it's a really important missing feature in the game! It NEEDS to be implemented!!
Unfortunately, we lost a lot of units on the defenses as emergency broadcasts went to the Steam Sector. Liberation of the sector is currently at 40% but time will tell if they return triumphant.

All they need to do, to stem the tide... is offer Refunds.
I know it seems counterintuitive but the measure allows the Developers to really see what is going on with Steam. Those who are really upset with Sony will take the refund, while those who are still in the fight will not. This will lead to a loss of some Divers but not as many as people are fearing. Those that remain will have fully committed to the network change.

Due to the new enlistment requirements I am forced to hang up my cape and return to civilian life. I wish to thank all those who fought and bled alongside me. It was a worth while journey, I will miss this.

The utter disaster in Meridia is simply unprecedented in scale and undocumented in all known galactic history, and it's a grim reminder of what might befall Super Earth and other well-established planets if we let the Terminids have their way; I shudder to imagine what the Sten Sector even looks like after seeing this.
Erata Prime is just slightly over 77% liberated of the TCS mutation as I write this, but with only 16 hours left and the Terminid regen rate still standing strong, it will very much come down to the wire, with Penta predicted to fall fully to the hands of the Automatons not long afterwards; the hour is indeed grim fellow divers, for these and, well, *_many other_* reasons.
I’m curious if the Super Earth is ever gonna pull an exterminatus (destruction of a planet) on Meridia if they deem it beyond saving or if it poses a great threat to Super earth

As a watcher of The 2nd intergalactic war, i'd recommend creating factories inside one of The Planets close to Super Earth, that way we would have less losses in combat effectiveness
The cowardly attack by Sony on Helldivers will be remembered by all Helldivers as an affront to liberty we've all worked to protect.
I was going to sign up to fight. Yet Sony is taking a page out of Super Earth’s play book about in game chat. At this point I hope the bugs win.

I guess I get to save a lot of money, though. Just bought a gaming PC to play a few weeks ago. Guess I'm selling it now. Wish I hadn't been working so much recently. Only served for 20 hours before the Sony nuke struck. But I made the Automatons pay dearly every hour that I was on the field of battle!

@@bobsouth A PSN account will be required to play going forward. I have no PSN account, and am not comfortable signing up for one, so I will be unable to play. I wouldn't have bought the game or the computer if I'd known this was coming. Thanks Sony.

Would be nice if someone picked up where you left off or you came back to this series. It was a lot of fun seeing how the war progresses in a video diary. Made it feel all the more immerisive.

Y'know, I've done the new "destroy eggs" mission approximately 20 times now, and never considered the implications of the egg size and nearby holes.
I'm a helldiver. It's not my job to worry about this stuff, until high command tells me otherwise.

So sad to write this i really like the weekly recap ,seems like the creator dosent see the point of doing them anymore cuz of low views (videos have on average 100k views,half the subscribers base) and decided he wants to pump 7days to die content more cuz its easier for him, i dont judge his decision but im sad cuz of it , it was quality content and it kinda elevated the canal , other videos on this canal dont reprezent my interest and sadly i will have to unsubscribe , i will keep an eye if the helldiver content will come back tho. I wish the creator the best but i think you made a wrong choice here man.
7dtd literally gets less views. it's not about views, he might've just stopped playing helldivers, or doesn't play it as much anymore. it's troublesome to keep pumping game-related content when you don't interact much. he's also preparing for 1.0 7dtd launch. this channel was always mainly 7dtd + some other survival games orientated, so it's understandable you might've got baited in by unrelated content. yet, the choice was made ages ago, before he even had youtube as his job.

Boycott the game. If player numbers go down then they’ll have no choice but to revert the psn requirement. It’s pretty much a major order against Sony
BREAKING: New administrative changes due to political pressure means approximately at least 30% of currently available Helldivers will be forced to return to civilian life or excommunicated from service. As much as 90% of Helldivers corps can be expected to return back to civilian life if they do not comply with the new administrative changes. These changes are reported to have not been passed through the proper democratic channels and pushed out with zero regard to it's effects on the ongoing conflict. The Ministry of Defense apologizes for the inconvenience whilst Central Command falls dead silent after delivering the news. Helldivers across the galaxy are wondering, WHY?

The Barrier Planets' TCS issue has flipped the tables of the war entirely.
From the Bot Front being pushed all the way back and stalemated after Penta was liberated, to the Omicron lines and Draco Sector all lost to invasion and insurrection. I had been sleeping on this game, in part due to real life but I binged this entire series a few days ago and was immediately hooked and I've spent the last couple days getting my feet wet as a Helldiver. Thank you Tem for telling me more!

They're my favourite storyline updates, and my friends would always gather around to watch "the news" every week.
Everyday I remenisce of what Meridia was before the terminids. Before my home was taken by that cancerous infestation... I remember the lush green jungles and blue oceans. I remember the food I ate, I remember sitting on the lake by my old farmhouse. I remember what Meridia stood for and I'll never forget it. And then I'm reminded that I'll never get that back.
Those goddamned bugs will pay for what they took from me.

I’m not affected by the PSN requirements as badly as most but I refuse to play the game out of solidarity I ask that other Helldivers do the same as I believe it to be the only way to get the tyrannical Sony to realise their mistake

It's different enough to be legally ok.
"eagle-1", "Super-Earth" and "liber-tea" aren't infringements because nobody owns it.
The art is similar, but again, different enough to be legal.
The following next week is going to be a nightmare with losing so many Helldivers due to what’s been happening the past day or two. 😅

The fight to retake Merida will possibly be worse than the fight to claim Malevelon Creek. Might give the eventual Cyberstan conflict a run for its money, but of course that is just hypothetical at the moment.
They chose Meridia to become a super colony so we would lose access to the Draco Sector.

Explorer Prime here...at least that's what they want to call me. It's a good thing I was told to leave the system through the Southern FTL lanes. The situation on Meridia is not something I don't want to be a part of. During my flight, I had read a novel about a species almost Termind-like evolving to encompass and infest an entire planet within a month. Scary right?
Well. At least the Helldivers are doing something....
Oh, we stopped off at Senge 23 in the Omega Sector for one final fuel stop. Should only take a few minutes but at least I can get this one last transmission out beforehand.
I miss them. My friends in the Technology Research and Countermeasures division. We were rejected by the core but were doing everything we could to help in the War.
Oh. We're about to hit the limits of the Transmission signals. Hopefully, my journey could find some form of answers.

the war is still on . there was never in history of gaming such event and i dont think sony is dumb enough to just block players from 2 continents just like that .

That’s a pretty self centered viewpoint. There are 50k active players on PS5 alone. Even if every PC player leaves that’s still a respectably large player base. It will balloon even more if Sony makes the game free to play at some point.

Sony had no role in the development they are just publishers . this mean they are only temporary masters but if arrowhead find that their partnership with sony only cause them harm they can easily depart and i know plenty studios who did that .

Super Earth has been taken over by an Automaton shell company labeled as "Sony" and crippled over 1/3 of Helldiver population by enforcing a "tracking chip" to an easily hacked hardware called "PSN". This hardware has been known for its annual privacy breaches and data theft to further benefit this Automaton shell company to further boost its numbers to their "shareholders" to prove Automaton supremacy. It was one thing to enforce this hardware, and no one would've battened an eye, however this said hardware cannot be accessed by the majority of Helldivers in certain regions of Super Earth -and using a "VPN" proved that it had banned certain Helldivers from ever accessing their Super Destroyers making them unable to join their brothers-at-arms in defending the galaxy. We'll update you as soon as possible once we hear updates on this front.

Minor Update
Many Democratic Officers have had accidental friendly fire incidents involving stray bullets, blasts, and knives fallowing an unpopular announcement from Super Earth President SONY.
Secretary of Defense Arrowhead has expressed regret over the poor reaction, but hopes to regain the Helldivers trust with continued quality game play and service.
We won the Sony war!
