He was 71 he was getting old. Nothing was too soon he died right on time. Wasn't late at all. He was punctual at the pearly gates and I'm sure he had a few questions before giving Saint Peter the middle finger and going to party with Satan in an imaginary eternal burning man.
George Carlin and Bill Hicks were a different breed of comedian. They were hyper intelligent and shared their knowledge and enlightenment in the form social commentary as comedy. They made you laugh but they left you thinking long after you were finished laughing.
YEP!!! FAM NEEDS TO GET THEM SOME BILL HICKS, LEWIS BLACK, ABBOT AND COSTELLO, GHALLAGHER (not smashing stuff), WOODY ALLEN, RICHARD PRYOR, LENNY BRUCE, RED FOX, LISA LAMPANELLI, DANA CARVEY, EDDIE MURPHY, AND BO BURNHAM!!!!!!!!!
We still have hyperintelligent social commentary comedy. Look up gringo papi. The comedian's name is escaping me. Maybe, jorge carlton, not sure. Something like that I think
We do. He left us a message. Back then it was called 'Germs' - Look it up. True back then -- true now. Just this month there are medical journal articles explaining what happens when multiple vax shots meet our immune system.
That must have been great! So happy for You! My Carlin baptism was a New Year's HBO special I saw in Aspen whilst in a Jacuzzi. Maybe that's why....never mind. 😜
I thought of that too, then I looked at how today's society doesn't accept anything, anyone says, even if it's the truth, unless it's written on a ticker on the news, or in a tic tok. Today they would tell him to shut up, or say he's to opinionated. This man was ahead of his time, a genius. If only we listened to him. Humanity is lost. Smh!
I listened to this so many times as I kid I had it memorized word for word. Carlin's ability to use and understand the English language was nothing short of genius.
It warms my heart to watch you young men. I'm a senior and I love seeing our people in unity. I hope fifty years from now you all will still be together. Peace
one's sex is biological: generally either xx or xy, although there are genetic conditions such as kleinfelters syndrome in which a biological male is born with an extra x chromosone, so in this case its xxy, but these conditions are anamolous. gender, however, is a social construct. we decided that xx is called female, and xy is called male. but if one is born xx but feels male, then they can choose to live as male since gender =/= sex and isnt biological. also carlin is fire and i like yalls vids *thumbs up*
You guys are so cute! Love all your reviews. George Carlin was a genius and admired by all who got to see him. I am glad you liked it. And happy to see you guys laugh!
In this bit, he is exactly right. He would be COMPLETELY DISGUSTED with the “soft language” going on today; too many words being downright “canceled”. Changing words DO NOT change the truth!!!🔥🔥🔥
That’s because you know when you change the language, you change thoughts. Your changed thoughts become different beliefs, values, and perspectives. A lot of people don’t understand the importance of language.
Thanks to George, my wife and I had a deep discussion about 'shell-shock,' versus 'P.T.S.D.' We agreed that 'post-traumatic stress disorder' is a horrific disservice to those willing to put their lives on the line for all of us. She came up with a term which I will be using from now on because I believe it's much more accurate, and leaves PTSD for those who never served in active duty. I urge people to call it what it truly is - COMBAT TRAUMA.
I love you paused the video to look up a word you didn’t know. That shows you care about gaining more knowledge and I do the same shit. Not an important comment but just shooting a positive vibe
I just want you youngsters to remember this. The times of our freedom of speech are becoming more and more threatened. We have Chappelle and Burr but that's about it and "they" are ALWAYS trying to cancel Dave. 20 years ago, Americans had the Freedom to say whatever they wanted to say without the worry of being cancelled. 20 years is a microsecond in time. It really is.
Great clip on George Carlin. I first heard him in my late teens (late 70's), 1st stand up comic I ever heard...he was hilarious, bad mouthed dude, but he was not disrespectful. I enjoy the conversations these guys have after their clips. The guy who looks up words on his phone is cool...you need one of them kinda guys in every group. The taller guy, I appreciated his comments about letting people be who they want to be...someone expressing compassion. They ALL make contributions to the episode in their own way....thanks for putting in the time, guys! 👍
I knew a guy once who was left paraplegic after a motorcycle accident. He insisted, strongly, on being called a cripple. He wasn't bitter or anything, he just wouldn't put up with being coddled by the same soft language Carlin is talking about here, and he was actually hilarious about it. "I'm not handicapped, I'm not disabled. I could walk, then I had an accident, now I can't walk anymore. I was crippled. I'm a f*ckin' cripple, okay?"
It's actually very heartwarming that you people like these guys are watching GC. He said things that we all should think of and listening to these things he said about 30 years ago means that we're not lost just yet. There are some of us who have this weird habit - to think!
This man has always understood, The corruption in this country and around the world .George Carlin Nails it!!!! IN just about everything he has ever done.❤
Never comment but thank you for discovering the genius that is George Carlin. Between him and Pryor and Lenny Bruce, comedy grew and grew and spoke the truth. We need George Carlin to make sense of the insanity of today.
George Carlin was one of the smartest comics EVER!!!!!!! I watched a documentary about him and he led a very interesting life. His take on politics is masterful and so well put.
I prefer the term disabled over cripple. As someone with a physical disability, but I do love George Carlin. Language does change, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.
I love the bro in the middle with the white T and green cap. You were really listening and thinking, you brought up the stuff toward the end that made your friends dive into your mind. All 5 of you are hilarious!!!! Life sub!
I grew up with watching George Carlin, Don Rickles, Phyllis Diller, and all the other great comedians. That was back in the day when you laughed and poked fun at not only others, but yourself too. Nothing was ever taken seriously, nor was anyone offended. I'm glad you got some laughs out of the old greats! Maybe some day you might watch Phyllis Diller routines as she complains talks and makes jabs about her husband "Fang". I miss those days.
Probably the smartest comedian in history. 30 years old and still relevant
30 years young.
sorry i broke 69 likes to make it 70, worth it.
@@leo.israel 30 is old, if you are alive during the 1st century & can't wait to party like it is 999.

Without a doubt!
In addition to being a comic philosopher, Carlin was a master wordsmith.
Nah youre thinking of a cosmic funny guy, and master word inventor 😏
@@victorhale what a strange and incorrect comment.
That's why his work translates so well into printed form.
@@BelchingBeaver69 thats on purpose. The joke is that its just another way of saying the above comment
That’s his Irish heritage.
George Carlin is so needed today. He left us way too soon. I’m thankful I was alive to enjoy his message in my teenage years.
My dad introduced me to him lmfao he and kal Williams are my favorite

I'm glad Carlin is able to still reach the youths.
Just goes to show how timeless his messages were.
This routine is probably 30 years old but still holds up remarkably well.
Even more so these days. He was so ahead of his time.
Considering that Americans haven't changed for the better in the slightest.. why wouldn't it still be relevant?
It’s probably this show itself that made sure people still say trailer park 😂
Indeed. "Undocumented Person" (vs Illegal Immigrant).
@@MrProthall ouch. Sad but true.
This is one of my favorites from George Carlin. He was such a thinker and so funny.
This bit is very annoying
He is talking like an angry old fart who happens to be eloquent
They control the way you speak, because you think in words. And if they control the way you speak they control the way you think- George Carlin
Things this man has said just stays true through the years, truly insightful and an amazing comedian ❤️💯
This bit is very annoying

As a kid, I always wondered why crippled people were called 'special'. I remember asking my mother "What's so special about being disabled?" 😭 😭

We’ll definitely keep his comedy alive he’s hilarious

George Carlin is the MJ of comedy. Keep reacting to him. You'll learn a lot while laughing a lot. He was a philosopher besides a comedian.
Carlin nailed it on the government engaging in "disinformation"
I'm so happy I was able to see him live back around 2006. He was as hilarious as he was smart.

And this is one of the many reasons we have George Carlin as an all time great. I love watching this man's comedy. He spoke a lot of truth.
I can give a modern example. Breastfeeding has become chestfeeding. To prevent certain people who no longer have breasts from being offended.
Good to see young folks learning from a master...George Carlin is a great scholar, mentor and philosopher.
Fr if a philosopher became a comedian this is what it’d look like
