    I started losing my hair when I was 16. I now have the "grandpa" look if I don't shave my head 20 years later. It was tougher to deal with in my 20s, I've owned it since though and seem to pull off the bald look. Everyone's journey is different but male pattern baldness is definitely difficult to deal with. Kudos to Drew for living his best life and going for it

      I absolutely LOVE this. You do rock the shaved head look according to your profile pic. It’s nice to be supportive of different things because we are all different and some people suit it very well and some people just feel much more comfortable with hair.

      As a bald guy, many think we are comfortable being bald, simply because we have no choice. We get used to it, sure. It's more like we stop thinking about it. But it never stops the bald jokes. And the wish not to be bald is always there.

      The only thing that bothers me is that I have seen that WebMd says that no matter what you hear, you cannot go for weeks without all of the cleaning and reapplying. I think Drew mentioned he can wear it for weeks, so Im interested if he still feels the same as time goes on. If you have some receding and decide to do this, just remember, that is pretty much a thing you will be dealing with all the time. Good luck with whatever you choose.

    Have you considered the crux design from lord hair for breathability?, their hair systems quality take a crap after 1 month, compared to lavivid, but they are significantly cheaper. You can almost get 2 hair system for the price. But yeah looks good on you man! Idunno how you're taking care of that long hair, especially since you didn't grow hair on sides to belnd it in with. Please make more videos on this, as you learn. Congrats and welcome to the hair system journey!

    Damn, looks incredible. My boyfriend just started finasteride and for his sake I hope it works out, because my goodness, I had no idea how difficult this is for men…and how many go through it.
    I wanted him to be comfortable with the hair loss but after 2 years, he still hasn’t fully accepted it. In fact he hasn’t accepted it much more at all. We’ve talked so much about it and decided that as scary as the possible side effects are, he’s going to regret not trying the pill.
    Who knows what will happen, maybe he’ll keep his hair, maybe he’ll lose it. Either way I love him so much and just want every guy that’s losing their hair to know that it’s okay to be devastated over it, and that it really fucking sucks that people are still so insensitive to this topic. Also, men with super thick hair I’ve realized are pretty rare, and thinning and recession is everywhere so you are not alone my dude

    Thank you for sharing your full experience about hair loss and what all you did to feel better again.Unfortunately I've experienced hair loss very soon,about age 17 and for 13 years i struggled with it and now I kind of decide to use hair systems.The only thing that scares me is the situation with gym and swimming pool.I work out for 4 or 5 days a week and going to pool for 2 days.I really don't want to bother and feel bad about moving the hair system with all that sweat and water smashes my head,especially because I'm a very sweaty guy.This is the biggest issue I have in my mind for now.

    I think your HT looked good but I know what you mean about the frizzy look, something about the trauma of transplanting hairs means they don't seem to grow as well as they used to. And I've seen MPB itself cause peoples hair to go from straight and shiney, a year later it has gone to the frizzy public look. I think DHT as part of the miniaturization process causes hair to grow "deformed" like this. Lucky for me Fin did the trick @ NW1.5 !

What really solidified it for me was when i read someones message on Reddit that said his hair was part of his identity so completely that he felt like someone else without his hair, and i really related to that, and like you, i just said feck it and shaved my head and did the whole hair system thing myself from top to bottom. Its been awesome. frustrating as hell at first, but i would do it again every time. I'm glad you found them as well! :)

    I used to use tape, but it would always end up tearing the ultra thin skin base eventually, and sometimes you could see it in the hairline. I always use adhesive now. It's more comfortable, less noticeable, and greatly reduces the risk of tearing the base.

    Let's not kid ourselves. Bald doesn't look beautiful most of the time. Most men look worse physically at least to some degree when shaving their heads, some slightly worse while others way worse. Very few actually look great bald. Hair makes a huge difference because it frames your face and you can manipulate your hair to cover symmetry flaws that might exist, like long and thin face or a huge forehead etc.
    Balding in your 20s is a pretty depressing experience. That's when you are supposed to be at your physical peak, attracting mates and being confident about how you look in general. Hell, if you are putting effort in dressing and working out and generally caring about your appearance, balding hits you even more.
    Not sure why you opted for hair system to be honest. After your transplant, your hair looks pretty good actually. I guess it might have been a volume thing.

    • @TheHungarianOak
      @TheHungarianOak Год назад +2

      it looked good, but behind the transplanted area, a visible thinning could be observed in the video and as he pointed out. So, he would have needed a 2nd transplant and if one needs already two procedures in his early twenties, there is no escape . Eventually hairsystem was a good solution for him.

  • @davidhook1980
    @davidhook1980 2 года назад +3

    Bro, the hair looks good when you don't slick it back. No hairline is straight across. Keep it a little messy in front with an undefined hairline like what it looked like when you left the salon and you will be golden. Let it fall around your face for a real natural look.

    “Grandpa’s toupée on the side of the road and stuck it on my head!” 🤭 … I love the look! Got my first hair system a month ago…. It’s still in the box. I’m nervous, don’t know where to start. The color isn’t really accurate. The haircut Lordhair gave to the piece was supposed to be a to the mid ear level curtain cut and it’s shorter. Not sure where to go to have it “installed” 🤭, if they can fix the color and the cut. 😣 ugh not sure if this was a good idea.
