I've tried many different company hairpieces including lordhair and the one thing no one seems to understand is that if you let the hair fall naturally and dry naturally and cover the part it looks natural. When you slick it back and someone gets close they can tell by the hairline. Try fluffing it up and then styling it. You will be amazed at how natural it looks at that point. I speak from over 20yrs of experience.
If you use the best-quality ultra thin skin models with v-loops, you can brush the hair straight back and it looks like it's growing right out of your scalp, although sometimes you have to do some tricks to get it just right. Personally, I always cut out the bare parts of the base in-between the hairs in the hairline using a pair of small, sharp scissors on a multi-tool. Tweezers can help grip it in the process. If you need to change the shape of the hairline, it's best to pluck the individual hairs and then cut off the bare material, rather than cutting the base and hairs straight across with a large pair of scissors, as that will leave a line of clipped hairs across the hairline, which looks unnatural. After shampooing and conditioning the hairpiece, I will comb the hair straight back with a fine-toothed comb so the individual hairs spread apart, then brush them back with my hand and lightly massage the base with my fingernails while brushing the hair together with my hand. Sometimes, if the front portion of one of the v-loops isn't pointing the right way, or looks out of place, I'll clip the front portion off at the base and cut off any surrounding bare base material, leaving just the back-pointing strand. If you do it all just right, it looks totally natural. You can also hide imperfections in the hairline sometimes by brushing the hair straight back (ideally with some gel or other product that will hold it), holding the style in place with one hand, and using the other hand to press the "roots" down and over to cover the imperfections.
That hairline looks amazing and I watched you do it. Before watching I thought I'd see it after you were done but just as you cut that little extra off I was amazed!!!!
Dude that looks great and completely natural looking.. It's good to know things like this exist.. I'm in my 40s and my hair is thinning as I age, but really accelarated when starting Keto dieting recently.. Luckily some of the hair is starting to come back, but still won't be perfect.. I think in a few years is thinning gets bad again like when I was started Keo, , I may try somethingg like this as opposed to hair transplant which leaves scarring.
I'm a bit confused about the idea of getting multiple pieces from one unit. As I understand it, these units come with a graduated hairline (the hair at the hairline is thinner and gets thicker as it goes back?) - Well this would mean that with the 2nd hairpiece you have cut out of the system, your new 'hairline' would be from the hair designed for the middle of your head and would be thick and not graduated at all?
looks great wet --but as real as it appears I would like to have seen it styled other than straight back . It ALMoST passes but not quite ! A few spikes in front would have been perfect
j0nnyism right people saying “oh it’d be noticeable blah blah blah” yeah right if it’s blended in and everything you can’t tell a difference, I wish they’d stop acting like they’d know lol probably pass many with a completely disguised system
Comfort difference is irrelevant for my partial. I cannot feel that I am wearing a hairpiece, no matter the base type. It is simply aesthetic. Lace does not conceal glue, and most glues are shiny. When it gets hot outside, the glue melts, making it even shinier. Poly hides all of this but sweat builds up under it, reducing hold. In the case of lace, you will want to wear a hat to hide the shine, but the melted glue oozes through the netting and sticks all the hairs together. The problem is with the glue more than the hairpieces. With properly bleached knots , I would choose medium density French Lace if glue remained solid. Silicon Glue has SOME potential, but so far it has lost adhesion far too easily and cost $65 for a small bottle. eg. Walker Tape Extreme Hold.
Swimming is actually better than showering because heat is the enemy of glue, and showers are hot. As with all hairpieces, no glue keeps the front hairline nice for long, so you have to do front hairline touch ups twice a week. I spoke to a watch seller once who said that waterproof watches should not be worn in the shower because the steam can get in.
Curious mate, as this was a year ago now, how long do you find their 0.03 systems last? I hear from 1 month to 3 months depending how well you look after it and how much you sweat of course. I have spoken to a few manufacturers. I actually just ordered two 0.06, so fingers crossed. They should be here tomorrow. Also how did you match you hair colour, did you buy a colour ring or did you send a sample, or perhaps you took a punt.. haha. Nice work once again.
I took a punt. Started with medium brown, then changed to medium dark brown. I'm going to try ash brown next. All these hair colours blend pretty well. I always discard all my hair pieces after a month, no matter what the base is made from, because I can't be bothered cleaning them.
@@StickOnHair fair call, it just gets pricey, though you are fortunate to get 2 from 1. I was trying to rethicken my top but went off meds for too long. I ended up punting an 18. Fingers crossed.
@@StickOnHair I took a punt and got an 18 because im blonde and after 3 months of research i reckon i nailed it.. now is the scary stuff.. i have to fit it myself and then get it cut because im going full top because i couldnt thicken up my crown, left it too long. Getting it cut scares the sh*t out of me because it's whether or not to tell the person i have a system or hope they can just cut and blend naturally.
@@RichCGriffin if the first hair cut works out, maybe you can send the hairpiece to the hair company after you’ve finished with it so they can keep it on file. Be careful cutting shorter than 1.5 inches or it will stick up and ignore all brushing.
I usually get 3-4 months out of mine. I mostly only use Mity-Tite adhesive, and I let it weaken for 2-3 days before removing it with 99% rubbing alcohol. I also use knot sealer on the base, hoping to prevent shedding. Some of the sellers will let you inspect a stock piece and send it back as long as you don't modify it, or they'll send you a color ring. I initially sent in a sample, which can also be used to determine the curl amount for a custom piece.
What density are your hairpieces? I've see some people on YT that have thin sides and too much density on top and it looks very obvious that they're wearing a hair piece. You also have a conservative style which adds to the realism as I can see your skin along your part line which is very natural.
Wavier hair hides the join as well. They advertise the hairpiece in this video to be medium-light, but I think its more like medium. The best trick for hairline to forehead blending is peroxide.
How much do you reckon you’ve spent on hair pieces and bond etc? If you could start again from the beginning would you pay for a couple of hair transplants?
He wouldn't have enough donor hair for a transplant to cover the balding area with any density. There are only very few cases where it actually works and looks natural. Usually you are still losing hair throughout the process, and you end up losing the battle. A hair transplant is not even close to a cure for baldness. A system is a better looking option in my opinion.
I have seen a good transplant video. IT looked dense and amazing. Transplant technology might be finally coming good. It was n't good when I started doing this.
Hairline needs to be peeled back and given fresh glue once a week. You need to take the whole thing off to clean it and shave your hairs once a fortnight. A single fragile hairpiece like this one will last 1 - 3 months.
