Dankus has always had a thing for closing his eyes and getting encircled like a BOSS. That's why he best when he plays something like heavy tank russia where losses don't matter

Once played a game with him where he fell asleep at the wheel with USA and had virtually nothing ready for dday by 1943. But he is good at Russia / Germany
It seems like he likes to play super aggressively which is fine when you're a major and dictating the front but not great when you're a minor.

Literally had a UK player once completely forget to garrison against Ethiopia and proceeded to have the entire african front encircled by the Italian player having shoved as many troops there as he could before the war started and proceeded to rush them to Cairo

As someone who watched the stream, I feel really bad for the allies here. Golden's no air strat did lose them Africa, but after that point, when the US player should have been the one to come in and pick them back up and raise morale and lead a D-Day... there was Grisha, putting everything in the Pacific, fucking screaming at any allied player who requested anything. Then he gets all the credit with the final naval invasion of northern Germany at the last minute. Glad he won't be joining any more Bo games, just for the amount of toxicity he threw at the commonwealth players in this game. If Bo was on the other side, this video would have been Iwo Jima 2.0. But I guess then we wouldn't get Dankus throwing two nations hahahahah

Wait, did USSR just solo hard carry Allies to pwn the entire Axis? If UK was being useless for the most part and the USA being utterly useless, who else could pick up the slack? Some of the Allied Commonwealth members got eaten early too.

- Dankus throwing the entire eastern front, twice
- The Soviet players (I think they were Tunney and Vented?) being good enough to exploit Dankus' throws
- Grisha finally moving from the Pacific and throwing a really good naval invasion at the Axis in mid-43
- Golden keeping morale up by giving the capitulated commonwealth players most of his divisions so they could play the game (and he had a lot of divisions because not producing any air makes the UK a serious infantry and tank powerhouse) and then leading the invasions of Italy and Egypt

You know, the only time I ever went a "no air" build in Hearts of Iron was playing Brazil. Since I had no tech for it anyway and I needed to make choices with my very limited industry capacity. Which I think people can understand when the Brazilian Navy and Marines show up at D-Day that they're not carrying the skies. But the UK? Man, Bomber Harris is disappointed in you.

Can someone who watched the stream please explain how the Axis managed to fail despite knocking out Africa, encircling the entire Med, and attacking Guyana?
Itally was too weak and streched to defend all of southern Europe and Africa once Barb started?
Finland lost 6 - 8 german tanks + all of Finland, the italian invasion of Guyana got beaten, american heavy tanks were too strong for the geemans to push out of a dday fast so they cojldnt redeploy their tanks from dday to eastern front after Finland (now Romania) pushed to far and got his whole army encircled, depriving the germans of a southern front and part of the central one
They almost did beat the russians tbf they had about 90 divisions left by the end of the war

My first multiplayer hoi4 game was as Great Britain. Having only played single players I had no idea I was as bad as I was.
Very soon after getting sea lioned in 1939 I realised that I needed to learn a bit
