I was born and raised close to Houston TX, which is really bad during the summer (is both hot and humid). But south FL is much worse, is like a sauna bath. I would not have believed that such an environment existed anywhere in the US had I not I personally experienced it. I am bewildered that anyone would voluntary go there. If you want a preview of hell .......

Florida totally sucks. It's too damned hot here, the Governor is too strict, people don't know how to drive, and too many old dreamy folks playing golf all day. Do yourself a favor and stay away!
(Psst......and now to all the rest of you. I actually love it here in FLA!!! It's a nice, quiet relaxed atmosphere and folks are very friendly, with plenty of beautiful women! The only reason why I criticized it above was to discourage more folks from moving here because it's getting way too crowded, as reflected in the housing shortage and rising prices, and the increased traffic on the roads 😄😄)

We are not a cheap state anymore. You need to be able to generate about $13,000 a month unless you can buy your house CASH. If you have about $800,000 or more , you can buy a fairly decent home. Don’t come here without substantial income or you’ll be disillusioned…BUT, if you can afford it, then you can have a really nice life. You have to really really look for good schools though and it’s possible to live in a nice neighborhood and still not have a great school attached to it, especially in the South Florida area. The state itself is great as a jumping off point for travel too. You can be in the Bahamas in 45 min… 2 cruise ports etc. I just don’t see how young folks can begin a life here if they don’t have really solid and highly compensated careers though.

I lived in Pensacola, Florida as well as Atlanta, Georgia. I was living on the beach in a modern apartment building in Pensacola. I struggle with the question "Am I a Bulldog or Seminole?".
The whitest beaches in the world are in the Florida panhandle. Pensacola is the oldest city in Florida dating back to 1559.
I currently live in California and I don't like it. I will never be a Californian. I am going to move soon. Washington state is on on the west coast but way better than California. I would even compare Washington to the east coast states of Vermont and Maine.

I recall seeing a video about a young girl in Florida sleeping in her bedroom and felt a huge roach crawling on her face and then looking down on the floor and seeing a large number of giant roaches crawling on the floor. Her family moved out of Florida. I would never move to Florida because I don't like creepy creatures crawling in my home and my face when I sleep. Snakes also come through the sewer line when you're sitting on the toilet and you will be eaten alive by mosquitos while sitting on your porch. Are you sure you want to move to Florida ?

The false assumption is you can’t go outside if it’s below 70 degrees. In fact, outdoors is surprisingly refreshing in the four seasons of the north including the invigorating winter! Another plus is you don’t have to live in a right wing state with suppressive laws and brutal conditions unless you are wealthy, who run the state.

Thank you for a well informed video! My boyfriend and I are looking to move to Orlando within the next year. I lived there in the early 2000's and absolutely loved the vibe. Looking forward to those warm winters!
