I prefer Hallandale Beach Florida beautiful beaches and restaurants and Gulf Stream Park Horse racing track, it’s the biggest in Florida, and Pegasus And Dragon Statue it’s the third biggest statue in the United States, Atlantic Village beautiful shopping mall and full with restaurants and nightlife, Big Easy Casino the second biggest casino in Florida, and your in the city that’s in between everything in south Florida, my favorite city in Florida perfect location.❤☀️

This is a ridiculous article! All of these cities are overcrowded and getting increasingly expensive everyday. I lived in Florida for over 20 years in a small city called Punta Gorda. It is a smaller city on the Gulf side between Fort Myers and Sarasota. It was wonderful until about 6 years ago. The influx of people made everything a mess. The cities in this article are all one big traffic nightmare. They keep adding lanes to I-95 and I-75 but it is never enough to accommodate the ever increasing congestion. We moved out in 2022 to coastal North Carolina. We got top dollar for our waterfront home in Florida and now have a better waterfront view in North Carolina for less money. The pace is much slower and the traffic is great. The property taxes are half as much. The only downside is there is an income tax but since I am retired military they do not tax my retirement.

Miami is not a nice place to retire to unless Spanish is your first language of choice; crowded traffic and high crime rate don't help either. St. Pete is very nice but is very expensive. Naples is super nice but you better be a millionaire to live there. Wesley Chapel and Cape Coral should be on this list instead.

Great points! Miami can definitely have its challenges for retirees, but its cultural vibrancy and amenities attract some. St. Pete and Naples are stunning, but I agree they're pricey. Wesley Chapel and Cape Coral are excellent suggestions-thanks.

You apparently are not in touch with reality down here. Gainesville is overdeveloped with little infrastructure.
Medical there you wait months for appointments.
Tampa is a hub for flooding the last 3 years.
Sun City is not in Tampa!

This is just a joke of a list. Miami #1 for retiring? Please! I just retired and I moved out of there. Some of these cities, like Gainesville, are spot on; because it's mainly inland cities that offer the best value in Florida.
