    • @FalconWindblader
      @FalconWindblader 2 года назад +55

      At range, scatterguns still wouldn't do shit, since they could just block the shots with the Force instead of their lightsabers (the reason why they used lightsabers to deflect blaster bolts is because doing so is less exhausting after all). Up close, however, scatterguns would be very devastating.

    Flash pistols and rifles were also good. They are like a blaster but, the bolt isn't as dense and because of this the bolt breaks up when a lightsaber hits it. The downside is that they don't have the range of a blaster. So, you have to get closer than you would like generally. They were a precursor to true blasters. Flamethrowers, sonic weapons, explosives, and slugs throwers loaded with slugs that have toxic substances or acids in them, or similar weapons, also work well. My favorite is though is starship weapons.

    I prefer using a gravity generator to pin them to the ground and then deliver a coup de grâce with a disruptor pistol at a distance of at least two meters, well outside the reach of their lightsaber - just in case. This has the problem of only really working in a one-on-one situation, most grav generators aren't going to have a large enough field of effect to pin more than one target, so if there's more than one Jedi, it's best to retreat and find a way to split them up. Carrying a ysalamir is also a hard counter to the Jedi's use of the Force.

      The force itself is a counter to that...
      I jedi can disrupt fairly easy a antigravity generator with their minds...
      I think folks don't get it the whole telekinesis thing...
      Jedi just don't blast things with force blast, force blast is essentially a telekinetic shockwave, also folks think is easy hide their thoughts, but it isn't, especially for common folks like us who never even worry about having other people in our heads, telepathy is one of jedi powers.
      Let us see: telepathy, telekinesis precognition, enhanced speed and agility, some degree of super human strength, and resilience (yes, you can do that with telekinesis) in fact vast majority of jedi powers is connected with telekinesis ability.
      A well trained jedi can basically tap quantum physics in their favor with telekinesis.
      Once you control such ability to such degree, you can literally control the universe.
      To understand better this ability, Star Wars isn't the best source at this explanation because it isn't fully grounded on our reality.
      A better character to study this ability is Jean Grey / Phoenix from X-Men.
      Her powers enhanced with the Phoenix force are beyond omega level in her case are cosmic scale.
      Because she can literally tap on quantum physics with telekinesis.

    I will say that Bullets being melted by light sabers and throwing molten slag into the jedi's face was cannon up until the clone wars came out (was in a comic detailing Jango Fett's origin story and the only reason it's not cannon is because they changed up the deathwatch in the clone wars).
    And fun fact, the reason so many Mandalorians use twin blaster pistols to overwhelm a jedi's defenses. First and foremost, their lightsaber can't be in two places at once so two blasters helps a lot in getting past that. on top of this, the more shots you are throwing at a Jedi, the more they have to concentrate on blocking them and the less time they have to use the force on you (this is why Maul didn't instantly win the fight with VIzla).
    Essentially the key is keeping them off balance, the more confused they are the less capable they are of using the force or blocking your attacks.
    Or grab a shotgun. Doesn't really matter whether its blaster based, or slug based because either it's to many slugs to block with the force all at once (unless it's a master jedi, and even then, it's worth a shot), or it's way too many blaster bolts to block with a lightsaber. either way you are going to have one dead jedi.
    keep in mind as well that Yoda said in Revenge of the Sith that size does not matter to the force, meaning that one can lift one small object as easily as one can left at large object. But even the best Jedi seem to struggle with Handling many objects. just look at how much concentration it takes to lift even single objects for a Master Jedi (Yoda, "Revenge of the Sith" and "Attack of the Clones").
    The Jedi's precognition is great however when it comes to something moving as fast as bullets there is simply no time to gather the concentration needed to stop them. Move the guns yes. Stop a wave of darts, sure (as seen in the video). Place one's lightsaber in the way of said bullets before they fire, absolutely. But, especially at the ranges that Star Wars battles take place in, there simply isn't enough time to stop a bullet (Blaster bolts are ridiculously slow when compared to firearms, after all an onlooker can follow the entire trajectory of a blaster bolt at close range. not at long range like you see with modern tracers.

    I like your videos Geetsly's and this one was very enjoyable. That being said, you did miss three additional ways in killing Jedi.
    1. Use stun weapons. They don't get reflected back and can knockout the Jedi which will leave them open for a killing blow. The drawbacks are close range and there are force techniques that can dull the sense of touch which could work in resisting stun weapons.
    2. Use sonic weapons. As the name suggests, these weapons send out a wave of sonic energy which cannot be stopped by a lightsaber. The only problem is that these types of weapons are very uncommon. Only the Geonosians know how to make these weapons to my knowledge.
    3. The Ysalamiri. These creatures can push back the Force, creating a bubble where the Force cannot go. And if you can get in close, then the Jedi would be severed from the Force leaving them open for an attack. Not to mention having the Force stripped from them in a moment would be very disorienting for the Jedi. The only problem, finding these creatures and keeping them healthy.
    These are a few more ways to improve your Jedi hunting career.

    • @papapalps2415

      Stun weaponry is, by and large, far too slow, and the projectiles we have seen are quite large, making them rather easy to deflect compared to blasters.
      Sonic weaponry, and other such unconventional things, are indeed a big one, although if the Jedi has any brains at all, they are likely to just start vigoursly dodging and jumping around to close the distance rather then try to block.
      Yslamari are of course a hard counter to almost anybody, but then, Yslamari are also ridiculously difficult to even know about, nevermind acquire, for the VAST majority of galactic history. No one bar a small select few even knew Myrkr existed up until the NR era.

      @@michaelolmos8257 These are certainly an....interesting selection, if very extremely Imperium and human centric (to a degree that seems like a detriment, frankly). Some of these are good options, but the majority of your list, I.E, the flamer/chem thrower, ripper gun, Exitus, radium weapons, macrostubber, and perhaps the bolter are....debatable at best. Both flamers/chem throwers and radium weaponry could be dealt with via Force abuse fairly easily so far as I'm aware, although the latter would likely be a serious problem over time. Dual macrostubbers is an amusingly comical idea, but could just be dealt with via screwing with the weapon itself and/or vigorously dodging. Although frankly, with that level of recoil, unless the person shooting it is an Astartes (and why would they do that?) a Force user probably wouldn't even need to do anything. A far better option is a simple lascannon honestly, due to the infinitely faster projectile speed and probably a close to equal RPM.
      Ripper guns are already extremely inaccurate by nature, and close range to boot. They almost certainly couldn't be blocked, no, but dodging is always an option. Ogryns in general are quite possibly the LAST possible thing you want to utilize against the infantry mulching precognitive magical space wizards, unless Ogryns got lightsaber proof skin when I wasn't looking, or much faster and intelligent for that matter. Exitus', like virtually ANY sniper weapon I care to think of, suffer the same inherent issue, which is that surprise alpha strikes are almost never the way to go with a Force user that isn't a drooling idiot. The precognition renders the idea moot by default. The psy cannon and psilencer may also be iffy depending on how they interact with Force users, due to how specialized they are for anti-daemon work, but honestly I have no earthly idea. It would depend on the aforementioned, the projectile speed, RPM, and so on. And bolters, like so many of the weapons listed, ultimately depend solely on how you interpret a saber interaction would go. I would wager they would be EXTREMELY effective indeed even if they don't detonate simply via the momentum transfer trying to rip the poor souls arms off, but that, again, depends on how much momentum would be imparted through the saber to the user. Even regardless of that, though, they are so fast and have such a high rate of fire that they are likely the best option by a league.
      Although really, virtually all of these weapons are either exotic or rare in some capacity, OR are heavy weaponry, OR are outright anti armor. Or all of the above, even. Shooting a fucking multi melta at an average Jedi or Sith is disgusting overkill unless they immediately blitz out of the way at full speed or they leap like they never have before.
      The usual disclaimers also apply as well to all of these; Force users, upon figuring out blocking isn't working, are under no obligation to keep doing so, meaning they can just abuse that vastly superhuman speed and agility for all its worth, and unless the enemy is similarly superhuman (albeit far more common in 40k than most settings), or the practices are either hideously fast and/or very exotic, there's not much the gunner can do to counter it. And of course, even if THAT doesn't work, just fucking with the weapon itself is always an easy option as well. Sith especially have no reason not to instantly abuse the Force the moment they get the chance.

    Airburst explosives and/or thermobaric weapons would work well.
    But I think the best strategy when attacking a jedi directly would be to reley on less-lethal weapons.
    Don't do it yourself. Hire someone talented to incapacitate and capture the jedi. If the attacker has no intention to kill, the force would give a much weaker warning about the upcomming attack, if any at all.
    Use things that are already available off-the-shelf today: Sound projectors, microwave-aerea denial systems, tear gas, lasers designed to cause temporary blindnes... all those things can be used to weaken the jedi before going in with stun guns.
    Positive side effect: if you don't intend to kill, the jedi would be obliged to show mercy to you as well, if your attack goes south.
    Once your hired gun has incapacitated the jedi for you, you can move in for the kill.

      The hint I am thinking of comes from the fate of the Jedi sieries, when Caedus' henchmen took the Jedi academy hostage and at one point used sleeping gas to subdue Jaina.

      Regardless, I don't need to prove anything. Its up to you to show that a singular instance in a single novel series that may or may not even demonstrate your point is evidence, not mine. Like I said, if that were true, then droids, due to being more or less absent from the Force in a biological sense for obvious reasons would be very difficult to deal with for Jedi, as 'hostile intent' from a non sapient droid is rather fundamentally different then an organics. This...isn't even vaguely close to being the case, suffice to say.
      I mean, Christ, you want examples of this? The very first establishing scene for the Force in the entire franchise, the training on the Falcom on ANH, is an obvious one. Unless you believe those training remotes had lethal intent, as well? Or perhaps Jar-Jar Binks did as well when he was trying to steal food, as Qui-Gon was explaining how his pre cog works?
      Again, precognition is very much not tied to a Force users emotions fundamentally. Heavily influenced by, yes, but precognition is one of THE singular most basic aspects of being a Force user. Even totally untrained children like Anakin or such have it to some degree. Emotions will effect how good it is, yes, but precog won't just magically cease to function.

If it weren't for all the times Ahsoka had that happen to her, Boba would win. But, Ahsoka has been electrocuted enough that she could stand her ground and levitate a saber to cut the whipcord.
    Even then, Fett had the advantage, and it was only because the jetpack happened to impact against an unstable structure that caused a collapse that Ahsoka won.
    Edit: Ahsoka also had to keep a kid from getting killed, so Fett could engage her directly without too much worry.

      Considering that Boba got rekt by both young Luke and Han Solo, and that post-Rebels Ahsoka could hold her own against Vader, I don't think Boba would stand a chance. Ahsoka could grip him with the force and rag doll him.

    Poison gas is only good as a distraction for a Jedi as it causes them to divert their concentration. Flammable gas is also advisable to be ignited if capture is impossible. The capture of Darth Bane is a good template but that requires too many conditions to be met.

    (2:21) The average slugthrower seen in Star Wars is more akin to a bolt action rifle, rather an an automatic weapon. And there are a lot of projectiles moving incredibly quickly with a lot of force behind them if someone fires an automatic weapon at a Jedi - so I'm not fully sure on that. Also, if you can get close, or just get enough weapons, I'd say it'd work. Also, claymores and, if you have the time and setup, something like a CIWS should do the job. Combine some of those with your other tips and there's a dead Jedi.
    (5:17) And if that works with blasters, imagine how much it could do with something with as much firing speed as a bullet.

    • @samueldimmock694
      @samueldimmock694 2 года назад

      The Force doesn't really obey the laws of physics. If a few padawans can pool their Force energy and push a super star destroyer out of a system in a matter of seconds, changing the trajectories of a few dozen pebbles moving at less than twice the speed of sound shouldn't be a problem. In fact, it seems like most of the limits to Force feats are psychological rather than physical, and deflecting bullets doesn't seem too hard for someone with telekinesis. Blaster bolts, on the other hand, are very difficult to manipulate with telekinesis, probably on account of their not being solid, meaning most Force-users have to either dodge them or catch them on their lightsabers.

    • @FalconWindblader
      @FalconWindblader 2 года назад +1

      @@samueldimmock694 Nope. Force sensitives, even not the really strong ones, could block blaster bolts just fine. From what i can gather with having watched so much of SW media, the state of a matter being manipulated doesn't change in terms of difficulty unless fine control is involved. In fact, blocking blaster bolts is actually easier since they're easier to see than slugs. The very reason why lightsabers are used, instead of the Force, for deflecting blaster bolts is because the former is actually easier, which is the same reason why jedis don't have a habit of hurling Force powers at their opponents when they're in the middle of intense fights. Using the force in quick, successive & explosive fashion is actually damn exhausting after all.
      With that said, the jedis have no problem blocking or even deflecting hails of bullets flying at them in ONE direction, regardless of how fast they're flying, so long as they see it coming. Bullets flying from multiple directions, their chances are as good as having to deal with rapid blaster bolt fire in multiple directions.

    • @samueldimmock694
      @samueldimmock694 2 года назад

      @@FalconWindblader I'm pretty sure you're wrong about ordinary Jedi being able to deflect blaster bolts without a lightsaber--which Star Wars media did you watch?--and untrained Force-sensitives or those trained by someone other than the Jedi or Sith certainly couldn't. Other than that, you're pretty much right.

    • @FalconWindblader
      @FalconWindblader 2 года назад

      @@samueldimmock694 Darth Vader himself has stopped blaster bolts firing at his face with Force powers alone, & heck, regardless of what you think of Kylo Ren, he went even further as to freeze blaster fire midair, which is even more difficult to do.
      Granted, Kylo Ren is at his prime & he's more powerful than your average jedi, but Darth Vader is, despite being noticeably powerful, is no longer that prodigy he used to be. Losing so much of his organic body has effectively reduced him to power levels probably slightly above your average jedi. The factors that makes him so powerful in combat mostly lie with his skills & experience, instead of raw power. If he could block blaster bolts without a lightsaber, there's no reason to believe why average jedi couldn't.
      By the way, there're many instances of jedi keeping fires or gasses at bay with only Force powers, be it in shows or games, with one of them being Kanan Jarrus, & that one he held at bay is equal in size & magnitude to that of 1000 blaster bolts. If someone who isn't even a fully trained knight could pull that off, there's all the more reason to believe average jedi could easily do with several blaster bolts from one direction, if they see them coming.

    • @samueldimmock694
      @samueldimmock694 2 года назад

      @@FalconWindblader Maybe it's different in Disney Star Wars (though I'm pretty sure it's not), but in Old Star Wars, which I know the most about, Darth Vader was still far more powerful than most Jedi or Sith, though not as powerful as the strongest of them. Also, that skill thing you talked about? Energy manipulation is an extremely difficult skill to master, but those who can use it are pretty much immune to blasters as long as they have time to react.
      Again, in Old Star Wars, most Jedi can't block a Mandalorian flamethrower with the Force. I guess that's different in Disney Star Wars, but the worldbuilding there is fairly inconsistent, so I see no reason why being able to stop flames necessarily means you can block blaster bolts--there could be something special about them. Also, Kanan may not have completed his training, but he was pretty far along, and self-taught for a long time after that, and was also fairly powerful (unless the Grand Inquisitor was either a weakling or an idiot who didn't know how to use the Force in combat).
