31:16 Least Crazy N60 owner The spare radiator in the wangler was a nice touch. I love the front shackles on your samurai, and I have to decide if I'm going to buy a set or just take my itchy fingers over to the plasma table at work. Someone gave my dad a basket case in 1999 or so, and it equaled more-or-less 1.5 Samurais. Between him and my brother they got it fixed up while I was in the army. I was continually amazed at the pictures they sent me of this weird little 4x4 getting into the most impossible situations. I had no idea what they could do. A few years after they got it running, my brother took it over, and spent a pretty good chunk of money modifying it. I bought it from him late last year, and I'm pretty sure if I got it stuck it would be in some awful place where nobody could reach.
Awesome performance of the Sammy, but I saw that was really hard to steering.... next upgrade power steering jajaja. nice video! and rocksliders and beadlocks and $$$.
You did good on your build that trail looks extreme! cant believe that stock jeep made it through i'm going to try to get there this year for my maiden voyage
Thanks dude! The trail was tough with the water on the rocks, for sure. There is some great camping near by and the views are awesome I hope you make it there. 🤙🏻
Yeah they are some cool people. I roll with the Trailbusters but the Cliffhangers have been great too! I've watched your videos and it looks like we're running the same trails; we should go wheelin 🤙🏻
I would recommend Trail Tough's armor.... Rock sliders, full skid plate and gas tank skid plate... The rock sliders bolt to the frame. since they don't drop below the chassis rails, you really don't lose any clearance. The big plus, for me, with this type is that they don't trap dirt onto the body.
I honestly have not enjoyed watching a video this much in a long time, mainly because I've been following your build. I am beyond impressed with the video and the way that little samurai did on its maiden voyage. the weight is exactly why it looks full at 8 psi. be careful with that airdown, i actually hate it when people say things like "have you ever heard of airing down". have you ever heard of unseating a bead. yeah Ive done it once running 10 psi and now i run 20 psi I don't care if I can get a few more friction coefficient points with 8psi.
Thanks dude! I appreciate that feedback. The thing I love about offroading is the tweaks never end! I'm going to try going to 5 psi on my next run and see if they can keep the bead. 🤙🏻
@@FortuneOffRoadyour bead is going to fall off before you get to the trails lol. hey i just flexed my rear suspension and it goes up 28" before it teeter totters. is that about what yours did when you made your shock video. the time i unseated a tire on my sami. i was trying to straddle some deep ruts i fell in sideways and then the air came out. honestly I don't even know if it had 10 psi in it when it happened because i had them at 10psi but didn't really check tire pressure when i went out that time. the super trencher tires that i had look full even when they blow a bead. but they are 6 ply but rated for a like 4240 lbs a tire. way too heavy and stupid to run but thats how mine came . i sold them for 150.
I camped near there years ago. Be aware hat there are bears all over that area. I had three bears tear into my food stash between 1:00 a.m. and 3:a.m. all i could do was watch from inside my tent.
Nice video and good performance for the little zuk. I am looking forward to your rocksliders. I want to build some but i dont have a good idea. I dont know if it last long when you just skrew it on the body. Wishes from germany.
I have a SAS 1988 Toyota 4runner with front and rear lockers and was considering getting a samurai how would you compare the two... should I just keep the 4runner?
I think the toyota pickup/4runner is the best platform out there. Having said that, I've never owned either. Samurais are great, don't get me wrong, but the short wheelbase and stock axles really limit you on tire size and obstacles. Getting ready to stretch mine so I can build it bigger. Toyota 8" axles can get built pretty strong, samurai axles shouldn't go much higher than a 31" even when "built". 🤙🏻
Your front springs get negative arch because there no bumpstops.Your u bolts way too long . If you can weld you can make all the armor stuff way cheaper your self. But you make a amazing job on the trail.
I have been laughing at these small crappy looking samurais for a long time coz I felt so much better in my sidekick ... I have to admit the samurais r still out there while my sidekick is long recycled... lol
@@FortuneOffRoad I just remembered I had driven a samurai with my brother in the late 80s and we had a lot of fun ... my brother was 6"10 and barely fit in there ... the little vehicle tilted until I got in ... we were racing through the fields ... after harvest that is
ive been driving samurais for 23 years, good to see em out wheeling.

That's awesome! They are pretty amazing little machines.
Zukis for life ! Nice to see your Zuki buggy out on the trail again !!
Hows it feel running a sammy at > 1/2 the cost of the other rides
Looks like my kind of trail. I need to take my Samurai on it. Love the rocks!👍
Yeah! It's awesome. Much harder when wet, but still a lot of fun. 🤙🏻
that was good fun dude, it was nice seeing how the sami held up. i look forward to some more exploring with the sami kudos for an awesome build !!
Thanks dude! The little Samurai did great on 31s
Sometimes I just cant stand spotters!
Great crawling in Moab. Hells Revenge and Porcupine Rim are good starters, then gets more challenging. Be there in May.
Muy buenos todos, fantastico el giro, el suzuki es un grande con su pequeña estatura
The dogs in the back, this just going fine 😃

Definitely! The steering needs an upgrade. 😬

Good shit man i knew the Samurai was gonna hold up just fine awesome video

I think its the milestars. I have a set on my Tacoma and in wet conditions I don't seem to have as much traction as i used to have with other tires.
That could be. I've wheeled them on everything but snow now and they don't seem to do as well when wet. Great on the rocks though 🤘🏻
This is the video the viewing public wanted to see!
Good! More to come!
You know your a true friend when you let them bring a chrysler on your adventure!
The Cliffhangers are an awesome group to wheel with. Im hoping to go out with them again soon.

Doing any rides in Utah any time soon? 93 sidekick with 2 in lift, 2 in spacers, and front lockers. Love moab! And Sand Hollow.
Hoping to get to Moab this year. What are you favorite trails that I need to hit?
The brake line from the wrecked vehicle worked! Greg hooked it up on the 4Runner, we bled the line, and he was good! He made it home with no issue!
That's pretty badass! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
as always, great video!
Thanks dude 🤙🏻

Awesome adventure, video, everything! Congrats! Can I ask why motor stops so many times? 👍🏻
Mostly because I'm a horrible driver, but I also like to blame it on a bad carburetor! 🤫
Another awesome video. Does that sammy have a stock 1.3 ?
Thanks! It sure does. Went to propane shortly after this

Yeah the ubolts were left long because I put the bumpstops on them later. They work okay. Later I'll probably try a frame mounted option. 🤙🏻
Besides the driver and their experience, what vehicle was the best one for that trip?
That blue TJ did very well!
Nice Sammy. Reminds me of the one I had in College. Great rigs. What tcase reduction are you running in it?
Thanks dude! We've go the 6.4 Sumo gears. They're great so far!

Sounds good! I post some of the runs on my IG page, same name. 🤙🏻
@ 7:15 the sammi starts doing what she wants.
The Sammy Carb doesn't like the angles. We run a Toyota 3k or a Harley carb for offroading.
You are right about that. Really leaning towards propane and trailering it to the trail. 🤙🏻
