this is the reply from FIIDO
    Dear Customer,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for keeping you waiting.
The frames of the T1s sold now are newly upgraded and reinforced frames.
T1Pro has made some upgrades from the T1. Compared to T1, T1 pro is different below.
    1. The Seatpost is lowered to better fit users of different heights.
    2. A full set of hydraulic disc brakes are installed, a significant upgrade from the mechanical disc brakes. Also, the brake pads were strengthened to increase their life spans.
    3. Better riding experience from improved pedal assist and throttle modes, which smoothens the acceleration and lowers the sense of jerkiness.

Correct me if I am wrong, but can we have a 250 or 350 watt motor paired with a 52 volt battery & controller & provide for a market share of long-range riders?

As anyone tried welding a gust on the old frame? I will be having a go at this this some 6mm ali' plate and some tube welded to the front like the Fiido did with the early frame fix. It's a shame to bin the old frame if it can be sorted. I know it has cables inside the down tube by the way.

Does the recall apply only to the original owner?

i emailed Fiido about the t1's advertised on the website "being the old frame" and put the question to them "what had happened to the new frame or the t1 PRO" asked if it was old stock being sold off ,so far ive had no reply , but when i asked on a separate email about the new TITAN i actually got a reply ,no specs on bike as asked but the did reply

The Titan does look cool! Could be tempted...
I wouldn't touch the old frames now.

Just got my replacement bike and it runs different to the old one! derestricted I can get 28mph on the new better display. Pedal power is restricted to 14mph but this dials up on hills to keep you going strong. The power "feed in" is now softer and feels more grown up. The T1 is real fun to ride and I feel safer. Question to ask is has anyone welded the ali frame on the old bike to stop them snapping?

They said the new one would be smoother. I guess if we want, we can swap the bits ao it's the same as the original.

If it is directly from Fiido, it'll be the revised one, but the old and dangerous ones are out there on third party sites.

Hi mate. How'd you remove the speed restriction on the new t1? With the original one it was easy. The same operation on this one doesn't work. Thanks a lot for posting your story. Love the paint jobs btw.

      Hi Ken.
It was the same for old and new. Right brake lever on, throttle full, hold top button until E2 flashes. Let go, ta da!
      Hope that works. Cheers

Do you have a video guide of swapping the controllers? I’m sure fiido provided one but I can’t find it

Not yet, I'll be doing it in a few days. Hopefully the motor wires will fit, otherwise it'll be a bit of soldering...
