Super stoked to find my lifer Japanese rat snake!
Thanks for watching!
Hope you enjoy!
Great colab cool to see that u and Lou met up! Spectacular rat snake too :)
Thanks, man! Glad you liked it!
Congrats on the lifer! Lou is herping Japan man, cool you guys got to hang out. Those rat snakes look almost like a version of the green rats in AZ.
Thanks, Rob! Yeah we only had a small window of time when we both were avaliable so I#m happy it worked out so well and we found a snake. Yeah the more species I find the more I compare them based on appereance to other snakes I have caught before, usually on other continents.
Wow, I am pretty blown away to see that Japan has its own 5 lined skink and its remarkably similar to the ones found in a large range in the United States. All of these skinks are really similar to the Western Skink too in the region I herp right down to the blue trail, body colors, and longitudinal stripes.
Yeah it was pretty interesting to see, especially because the look almost identical. I found a park in the middle of Tokyo just filled with them.
beautiful snake!
Thanks man!
no problem
I'm stoked you met up with Lou Boyer in Japan! What an awesome trip!
Yeah, we been trying to meet for a while now.
Cooles Video !
Welches Schneideprogramm benutzt du ?
Und warst du schonmal in Vietnam ?
Danke.
Benutze Sony Vegas.
Ja, aber nicht zum herpen.
Loved the collab Fred, and those were some great finds! I didn’t realize five-lined skinks were native to Japan! Will we be seeing other episodes from this trip?
Thanks guys! Yeah, relly cool it finally worked out and we got to meet. It's the same genus as in the US "Plestiodon". I've got footage for atleast one more episode and I'm here for another week so let's see what else I can find.
Oh so it’s a different species than the U.S. native? I was wondering if it was an introduced species. I’m excited to see what else you find, the wildlife of Japan has always fascinated me!
Nice
Thanks, Oskar!
