I've used mine for about a year now, and absolutely love it. I also bought the Jenkins tree shear from Creager, and will buy additional attachments from him in the future.
It’s always good to avoid rocks!! Seriously - it does really well. The blades will swing away, and the flywheel will keep momentum. Smaller rocks (15-20 lbs) will occasionally launch. The rocks will knick the blades, and over time you will want to replace - but, you can cut in rather direction. I try to mow spinning clockwise when I don’t know what’s there and mow the other way for. Formal maintenance to keep one side of the blades sharper. When you need replacements, they are only $30 each - which is a real bargain!
I really like the floating deck. It is odd at first, but it makes it very productive. The roller, plus this, makes it so that when you are rolling along, the deck does all the work. It tilts, and makes it where I dont have to constantly adjust when mowing. Every once in a while, you need to adjust, but it is 90% less than if we had a normal, suspended cutter in front of me.

Jack, thank you for taking the time to give us an update, I hope you are doing well! Best, Kerry.
I don't even need one, but that is impressive!
How has this mower held up? I would think with the roller in the back that material would build up in the back of the mower?
How does it hold up against rocks?

Nice
How do you like the floating deck vs a fixed deck

Very American, looks like tinsel foil, Australian slashers are made for cutting grass and small trees with a deck thickness of 5mm.
This is a 6.35mm deck.
