After watching you and others operate these forestry mulchers, I found a local operator that had one. He took my giant pile of logs and brush down to mulch in just a few hours. From fire fuel to mulch! Good stuff!
Do operators charge by the hour or by the job? Gotta be at least $50 per hour, right. I am 75 years young so I may a little behind the times.

I like watching Big and Little Munchie but this machine is the Beast❤. There's nothing sweeter smelling than a freshly mulched tree,even if you do have allergies 😅.
As someone who has lived in the south for a while this is what I know about pines. If there is a harvest and a few trees are left, they are left to seed new trees. Those new trees will need to be thinned at some time. If landowner is in forestry business, the trees are considered a crop to be harvested in 15 years or so. Young trees are harvested for pulp. I’m not sure how well that industry is doing at this time. Several pulpwood facilities are now out of business in a nearby community. It is interesting that this landowner is taking out so many of what appear to be healthy trees planted too thickly. Another interesting tidbit, the only thing that holds up those tall pines are other tall pines. They do not handle high winds well. Their tops snap off. That machine is really a beast.
If I had to guess, many of the pine stands in the Grand Strand and Lowcountry regions (primarily Horry, Georgetown, Williamsburg and north-eastern Charleston counties) are farmed and harvested regularly for the International Paper plant in Georgetown.

I don't think it's below sea level but it definitely holds water in the rutted areas where they have been with the 4-wheelers!

When I was young and run a hay conditioner to dry the hay, my grandfather would pout turpentine on the belts to stop the squealing...it worked every time...😅

I think the squeaky belt is in the skid loader not the mulcher... Fan belt most likely. Good job man. Id love to have one of those.

Davin, I've got a camera question for you. When I'm watching your video's and you go to an accelerated speed for let's say, 10 minutes, how does that equate to real time?
It really depends but each different angle view that you see is typically 8-20 minutes long in real time

Is there a reason you did not use door with knives when you back drag? Seems it helps to sherd debris better when you do.
When the door is up I get a better idea of how much it is picking up when backing up
@@idigit4967 I just noticed it grinds a lot better with door down with knives. Less repeating with finer chips & regrinding.of long sticks. Just an observation. You have come a long way, since the funny video you did of all the guys. I was watching before that great video. It was funny. Take care.
How is the room in the cab of the 120 compared to the 75. The 75 is small for me
Being from south Alabama I see pine trees on a regular basis the local timber company and the Georgia pacific paper mill plants acres and acres every year there are not much hardwood growth around myself area oaks hickory and other hardwood trees are scarce
Has anyone ever asked if they could repurpes the larger trees for lumber.
I liked the music when you sped things up. You could speed it up all the time.
I usually turn the speed up to 2x. Makes it more interesting, lol.
Would it be safe to say while this mulcher is superior it also takes a substantial machine to power it properly? I'm thinking your John Deere might not have met the needs of this mulcher.
