Caleb said before Waldron was late calling the plays into the headset before each snap. Also some of the plays he drew up didn't take advantage of the talent they had. The new OC is definitely a big improvement. Bears can win against the Vikings, if not it will be a close game.
Well I'm one of the biggest bears fans and I don't see how great people think he is ,this guy has been giving so many excuses. The other 3 QB s didn't have a team as Caleb and they all have outplayed him. No superbowl anytime soon, but I'll wait until next year and hear it's only his 2nd year then 3rd year and 4th year and so on.

If Caleb Williams does not pan out, I blame the Chicago Bears and I am not even a Caleb Williams fan. The offensive line and coaching has been issue even dating back to the Mitch Trubisky days! They've been through 3 QBs in the first round over the past 7 years and it's ridiculous. At some point, it's not the quaterbacks, at some point the organization needs to look at themselves in the mirror and ask what are they doing so wrong at developing QBs. The Bears have got to figure out it's more than just surrounding a QB with big name wide receivers and assume everything will work itself out! Coaching matters and Matt Eberflus has been terrible and needs to go! We can look at Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix, sure they might be better QBs than Williams, but at the same time you have to look at the coaching as well, they are dealing with better and more established coaches in the NFL. Dan Quinn has been too a superbowl and has had many successful seasons with Matt Ryan, Shawn Peyton has won a superbowl and help develop Drew Brees! On paper, this bears team was supposed to be a playoff contender, but so were the NY Jets.

I believe Caleb's main issue is trying to do too much rather than it being a skill issue like with Fields not reading a defense and later in Chicago just not wanting to throw between the numbers and Mitch not having good deep ball accuracy and also not being that good at reading a D. The recievers haven't been open I'd argue on the play calling or Caleb straight missing the deeper throws. The offense under Waldron was extremely predictable or just plain stupid sometimes. Caleb's going to be fine so long as the franchise builds around him and the Bears have pretty solid draft capital and cap space with the main needs being in the trenches. The team as a whole is talented but is just lead by inept coaching. Literally a field goal and hail mary away from being the 6th seed in the playoffs but its interesting seeing other opinions from different fans🔥
