Yea, it seems to be the only way to fix it after trying all your solutions, nothing prevailed. Had to do the same thing once before but several times of splitting, rendering, splitting rendering, and so on until I got to the end. Also it leaves a noticeable sound mute blip in the finished product at the split points.

I know this is probably late, but if your rendering stops at a specific percentage, you have to go to the part of the video where it crashes, and lower the volume of that sfx (sound effect or song), and re-render it. It worked for me ;)
FOUND A FIFTH FIX THAT WORKED FOR ME: in the "customize template" section after you select "render as", there's an option called "allow source to adjust frame rate". Tick that box and it might render out smooth for you.
That's true it is an over priced product because of all the bugs and crashes but you should try and contact them to discuss this issue. It might be your computer or something else that you've not looked at or thought of

Unfortunately not those works for me, I realize that Sony Vegas does not like a "pitch effect" in the "main volume box" on the far left for each row. once I took the effect off, I just put the "pitch effects" in the individual boxes on the rows i wanted them in and it worked fine.
I found a fix that worked for me because nobody's videos worked. If you have a clip or anything that is really loud turn it down because it fixed it for me for some reason It would crash if something is loud

Tried your first import method, and it worked. The tried it again and it fails. Disabled multicore rendering and now it is working again. If it stops working again i’ll try your other methods. Strangely enough, all cores are at 100% in task manager. Hopefully this is the last issue i’ll Have with rendering

Hello VerticDesigns. I'm currently having a problem where the video will stop at a certain frame (4,704). I've tried all of the things in this video, and none of them work. I've tried splitting the video into two, rendering both, but the second clip didn't render. I've tried rendering in tons of different formats, but none of them seem to work at all. I need help desperately, because I need to make a video urgently for a School Project which is due next week. All I can think of is reinstalling vegas or just test your computer before reinstalling by rendering with another program. You could try and use your GPU instead of your processor since your graphics card is much better. Also when your testing the rendering you could use HW Monitor program to see the temps and make sure nothing is overheating, I can't really say much because I don't know if it's your computer or the program
Alright, thanks for all the info. I found a temporary fix (deleting the videos that start at frame 7,404). Another very strange thing, my GPU won’t show up in Sony Vegas? Also, I’ve just tried reinstalling Vegas, doesn’t help.
I tried all 5 methods. None worked for me. The inner dialog boxes are different than what is shown in the videos. I was, however able to render my project using "real time rendering" It loaded 100% . I put it in wmv format. Now I dunno where the rendered video is! Can't find it! Please advise
The normal save location should be in your C drive or in your documents folder, I don't know other ways or fixing it or what exactly is causing your problem. What you could do is change the save location or reinstall vegas because maybe the files aren't working properly and reinstalling the files might fix it but im not 100% sure because I've not had your problem. And if everything I said didn't do anything you could try and look on forums or other videos on RUclips. Anyway good luck and I hope you fix it and once again sorry that I can't help you fix it with my advise / video

Most of the time it's sony vegas playing up, for me sometimes it crashes then weeks later the problem is gone but since your computer seems to be pretty good I think it might be the software side and there's not much you can really do other than reinstall the program, giving it more memory / changing settings and trying other formats or codecs. You could even try running the program as admin and see if that changes anything
I have an issue with the video after it has been rendered. I have used the pan/crop tool to zoom in. In the preview, it works fine. In the rendered clip, it is like the pan/crop hasn't been used. Other parts of the video are fine, it's just that clip. Can anyone help?

Boys I fixed it by going into Preferences>Video>Dynamic RAM Preview max(MB). It really depends on how much RAM you have but I set mine to 1000 (MB) when I have 8gbs of RAM. Hope it works for ya'll!
None of these worked for me, but try rendering in MPEG-2 1080p. It'll render. Then re-render the MPEG one in the desired format using levels and stuff to retain the quality.
My issue is that it says it's 100% rendered but (I have close this dialog box when rendering completed on) it doesn't finish. It has an approximate time left of 0:00 and the elapsed time keeps going up

Or even turn your pc / laptop off then give it some time to cool down then try again after. Sometimes it does finishing processing it but yeh just try to find out what it might be

This may only be happening with 32-bit floating point turned on in preferences, which is not a setting anyone using vegas 13 will probably ever need to worry about unless you really want to use one of the alternative color profile, which can actually make your images look worse in most cases. It's not like you are missing out on some hidden pixels in your images unless you have raw 4k 10-bit camera footage or something that is like 20gb per 10 min
Hi, I have Vegas 15 and edited a really nice video. When I render the video, it freezes at 45% and Ive tried to fix the problem. Already looked at 5-6 videos and non helped. None of them worked. Still stuck at frame 51994, 72%. EDIT: removed a transition that was around that frame and now it renders. Only problem is that stupid Vegas is so efficient in remembering stuff that it actually remembers what transition you put wherever, therefore you can't just remove one and make another one, because it'll mess up. You either remake the whole video from scratch (which is annoying as hell, if you have a lot of cuts and transition, or remove that part and try to adjust transitions somehow in other parts of the video, hoping that they don't create issues too.
My problem is it renders normally and than when it gets to the part where there is multiple clips it freezes and the time keeps on going higher and higher to the point where it says 9 hrs
sometimes yes... aha no but on a serious note there's still hope. There's upgrading it, reinstalling or just giving vegas more memory so try adding more RAM and setting priority to above normal or high
Guys, if all else fails, simply see where the rendering freezes. If there is a transition or subtitle or any effect there, try changing it or removing it completely. It helps.

I fixed it, a part of the video was too loud and that was making the rendering crash for some reason.

sometimes yes... aha no but on a serious note there's still hope. There's upgrading it, reinstalling or just giving vegas more memory so try adding more RAM and setting priority to above normal or high

on method 3 - I have tried them all- it just had a black screen for the video it was 0:10 long..? help
Try a different format, change the settings or try running vegas as admin
still doesn't work smh, it is constantly stuck at 27

Guys, if all else fails, simply see where the rendering freezes. If there is a transition or subtitle or any effect there, try changing it or removing it completely. It helps.
mine is the approximate time moves along with the elapsed time but the render percentage is 0% Forever
Same issue with me on pro 17.... Honestly so done with it...

Doesn't work for me, it still freezes at a certain frame while rendering.
I was doing a 1 million times video, all I had to do was reduce the volume by half.
Guess it was too high for the rendering.
