- The Sierra 1500 AT4 is GMC's off road edition of their popular truck. This AT4 has been taken to the next level. Under the hood is the 6.2L V8 that is pumping out 420HP & mated to a 10-speed transmission. It has a 4in lift, custom wheels & tires that were done in house at Dick Norris Buick GMC. Is this 2020 GMC AT$ custom lifted truck worth the price?

I paid 54k for this truck and added the 6inch bds lift with tires and didnt have to pay huge dealer markup for dealer installed lift. NEVER buy a lifted truck off the lot. Paying 73k with rebates for this is crazy.

100%, i have 2015 Silverado HD Z-71 , turned up the torsion bars 1 1/2 ", and put 33" GoodRich all terrain TAs, and Rancho load levelers, the truck sits 3" higher and looks perfect, cost me $ 1875.00 total.
How much did it cost you in parts and labor and also did it void your warranty?

Weird. My 2019 AT4 was complete trash. Tailgate failed the day after I brought it home. 6 visits later it was fixed. My 10 speed transmission stuttered every morning for the first 1-2 miles until it warmed up. Got it on video, proved to the dealership and to GM and they refused to address it. The interior had 3 different rattles that GM wouldn't fix. Sold it, took the loss, and bought a Toyota.

Claude Ervin Thank you. Don’t get me wrong. The AT4 looks great, especially the one in this video. However, there are engineering issues.
I have a 2019 sierra Denali 6.2 l v8 no problems at all so far. Its a beast. I guess some people get that 0.1% trouble vehicles when they get put together some machines and human hands can fail.
Rough Country 4 inch lift added on top of the factory 2 inch lift giving a total of a 6 inch lift.
I have a 2015 Silverado HD, the dash is very similar to this one ( in fact, mine is nicer), two observations, the screen needs to be at least 10 ", and the center stack should be slightly angled toward the driver, what a huge difference that would make. 73K is insane for cosmetic changes

@@kyushka. I ended up buying the 2021 ram limited for $65,000. It’s way nicer in person but the gmc was about 54,000 tho if you just want the price of it
Really nice truck. Probably the only thing I’d add would be a 40 series FlowMaster. Going to be grabbing myself a Silverado High Country or the Denali shortly. Kids are grown and it’s time this old man got himself a few goodies.

I’d buy that. But I think I’d like it to be about lift 8inches or so 🤔. But that’s not bad at all. If I had to, I’d keep it just the way it is. But in black. Can’t go wrong with black 😂. BEAUTIFUL truck by far. I’m PRAYING that I’ll have one for Christmas 😁. COME OOON SANTA 🎅

My older brother has the sierra at4 2 door ( am in qatar ) and i tried driving it few days ago and it was so scary the power it puts down is scary for a car like that

Yes it’s a 4 inch lift added to the factory 2 inch lift. So it’s now a 6 inch lift
@@regi0317 actually Joe misspoke at the beginning. The factory lift is 2 inches, the BDS lift in this truck is a 4 inch lift, so the total lift is 6 inches. He corrects himself later in the video

Man, the interior just isn’t up to quality but what’s new with GM. It was between this one or a new Ram. Went with the New Ram. Still a nice truck though for sure.
2022 they're redesign is underway for the dash. As a 2020 owner, I took a survey from GMC and provided personal recommendations on the redesign of the dash.

5' beds aren't trucks. 6.5' beds are a good start. I looked at these yesterday and the tailgate didn't work correctly.

@@RaitisRides, I do like the looks the best out of all of them, but I'm only 6' and I felt like I was sitting up higher than what felt comfortable, lookin thru the upper part of the window w/the seat adjusted all the way down. It was unexpected & a little strange. Couldn't imagine being taller than 6.4'.

Forgot to mention that if your trailer hitch is in the ball will hit and dent the tailgate! There is a aftermarket upgrade that will prevent this though!

Rearview mirror turns into a Rearview camera with the flip of the mirror tilt lever. Are you sure they only added 2inches to the lift? Great video!!

I was faster on my toilet got it there in 220 mph
man i ripped my car to a kool 60mph fastest i’ve ever been was super scary 🤷🏼♂️💯🔥

Dealerships add lifts and jump the price up when in reality it doesn’t really increase your value. There’s not much that can be done unless it’s engine work that can possibly make it worth more. NEVER fall for “dealer” installed lifts

so is it a stock 2" lift with a additional 4" lift ???? also I thought you said its a ROUGH COUNTRY lift ??
There are some zonks for this truck, how about those rear leaf springs. On tarmac I’m sure it’s fine but how do leafs handle in off road conditions compared to indepenant coil overs?
The leaf springs help with squatting when heavy loads are in the bed or being towed.
