*drops homework, watches Jesse video, laughs uncontrollably about the face distortions, fangirls alongside Jesse about Marvel and oohs and awes at all the pretty bookstores* :)
2 years ago I went on a bookstore crawl for my birthday (we went to like 5 or 6 bookstores - I bought like 20 books with all the birthday money I got) we went to this one kids bookstore and it was just so fun and quaint, its in Rotterdam and called "Ver Van hier" - and they had a cafe, really enjoyed going there :P My favorite though is the Cathedral in Maastricht - really beautiful bookstore
Cesar Acts seriously tho!! It’s awesome! It is weird how it seems roles have “switched”. Meaning it seems like there’s more female writers, when writing used to be considered a male occupation. Life is weird.
S.L. The Coffee Addict the series is told through all kinds of mixed media. It's very rare to find pages that are like regular pages in a book. So they fly by really quickly.
S.L. The Coffee Addict yeah like Jelke said they fly by really quickly. I finished the first in a day and the second in two days. Also, that one isn't too much shorter it's just closer to 600 pages rather than 700, like the other two.
Obsidio is a damn good reason to ditch other books :P My fave book store to go to is Dymocks Melbourne because you have to go down an escalator and all the books are spread out before you
I really love visiting bookstores that are just quiet and sort of under rated. There is one in my hometown and I just love going there and spending time. Also currently I'm reading the French version of The little prince ❣️
I don't really have a favorite bookstore because I just love the library. My local library is just so peaceful and cozy and the people working there are so nice! And the BOOKS. The books are never damaged, you know that the other people who visit the library are respectful of the books, but many of them ARE very worn, so you can tell that the books are well loved. I just love libraries in general!
Favorite book store: Barnes & Noble but they are over priced. I love library sales (so much cheaper) lol. Currently reading: Shining by Stephen King, See Jane Run by Joy Fielding, Buddy reading with my daughter The Leaving by Tara Altebrando plus some others. Yup I read many at the same time switching from book to book depending on my mood so I know how you feel about not finishing. Enjoyed your book store vlog thanks for sharing.
I'm reading The Hunger Games trilogy once again and I'm in the middle of Mockingjay! There is this book store in my hometown called 'A Novel Idea' that i LOVE and i like barnes and nobles but it's far from my house so i don't go as often as I'd like...
Jasmin Rodriguez I have a bookstore in MY town called ‘A Novel Idea’ as well. What town do you live in? (I’m not trying to be creeping I’m just curious if we live in the same place. 👍🤷🏼♀️
Here in Philly we have a bookstore called “A Novel Idea.” It’s one of several independent bookstores we have here, and it’s my goal to visit all of them eventually 😁
I could spend ALL day in a coffee shop & a book store. I’ve always been super into reading but in college-I’ve been so occupied. You kind of got me back into reading and taking for myself to read and relax. 🙌🏻
i really love this video jesse!! 😍😍 Its so different from your other videos and obviously so fun! thanks so much for making this vlog because finally I had a chance to see a wonderful bookstores out there (there's only one gigantic bookstore in my city 😂 so yeah..)
I live in Lexington! Joseph Beth is my personal favorite bookstore we have ❤️ it's nice to buy a book and hang out on the patio of the cafe reading in the summer!
OMG I can't believe you're in KY!!! Look how pretty that book is. Love the covers of the series. Carmichael's is a great store in Louisville. So much fun. Lexington is only an hour away from me. So cool that you were in KY and you went to my favorite store. Joseph Beth is AMAZING!!! All three of them here in KY are fantastic and have so many books.
You are my spirit person, which is like spirit animal but in human form. This was such a cute vlog. I loved it, and know I am not the only one. Thank you for your content.
I’m catching up on your videos and I was so excited about this one and you were in the town I used to live by!! I used to live in Versialles Kentucky that’s 20 minutes from Lexington and I’ve been in that Joseph Beth! It’s like my favorite bookstore. I wish I could have met you! But I don’t live there anymore. I’ve also been to the half priced books!
There aren't very many independent bookstores where I'm at either. There's a place nearby called Paperback Palace that I love to go to because it's always cool in the summer and I can get credit for books that I bring in. Also I'm halfway between two Barnes and Nobles that have a good sized discount section which I love visiting! I'm currently in the middle of several books to be honest. The most recent book that I picked up is A Darker Shade of Magic and I can see why so many people enjoy it.
i love your vlogs! my favorite bookstore is Autorska (which basically means author or sth) and it’s so beautiful, it is made like a home full of books, there’s a bed, couches, a kitchen, even a freaking bath! i love it, it’s just like a message that no matter what you’re doing, you can always pick up a book and read, no matter if you’re in your room or bathroom. And I’m currently reading A Conjuring of Light, This Savage Song, The Hazel Wood and Strange the Dreamer!
Im from NYC so my fav bookstores are the Strand and Books of Wonder, BUT when I was in Boston I went to a bookstore/cafe there called Trident bookshop and IT WAS SO CUTE. And the food was amazing.
What We See In The Stars is a GORGEOUS book!!! I keep a copy in my classroom but I love it because a) space and b) great memories of a holiday to Hawkes Bay. I picked it up originally because it was so pretty and because it reminded me of another super cute science-y book I bought last year - Women in Science by Rachel Ignotofsky. So many great non fiction books around!
I have a deep connection with me best friends little sisters best friend. We both do dance together are book people and whenever my friend has a sleepover with me her little sister always has a sleepover with her best friend. Love her she is like another sister to me. ❤️
Joseph Beth is actually independently owned from Cincinnati! I go there like once a week. For sure, my favorite. I wish I could think of how to phonetically spell Louisville, but you’re close! Glad you loved it.
I love going to the bookstore Barnes and Noble . I always get some type of book while I am there and I go to the cafe every time. . It is Christmas time. So I am reading Charles Dickens The Christmas Carol.
I throughly enjoyed this video. I love checking out new used bookstores too. I live outside of Toronto and my favorite used bookstore to go to would definitely be BMV in the city. Specifically the Bloor Street location. Second favorite would have to be the Book Outlet store in St. Catharines 😄
If you are still in Lexington, go to the main library -- it is AWESOME!!! (If not, the video of it is one of my Library Tours, but you should try to see it yourself). The Joseph Smith bookstore looks awesome! Loved the vintage look in some of the bookstores. Your dog is adorable! Sorry Thornhill wasn't that good -- the cover & the illustrations are beautiful! Good vlog!
My boyfriend takes a trip to Grand Junction, CO every May and I tag along and have to go to Out West Books. It’s this super cute, independent bookstore. It’s small but the staff is so nice and actually recognized me last year. I can’t wait to go again this year.
my favorite bookstore is IndyReads! It's an independent bookstore that sells new and used books that donates their profits to fund literacy programs in the city of Indianapolis. truly a good experience and a good cause
I feel you about walking away from books partway through! I'm part way through The Warrior Heir, Three Dark Crowns, Flamecaster, and just started Neverwhere.
You're not alone Jessie. You're not alone. For the past few months, I have been reading books and abandoning them when I just get into them because I just can't. Here is a list of the books I gave up on because I just couldn't: -The Fault in our Stars -The Neverending Story -Me and Earl and the Dying Girl -The Sun is Also Star -Camp Half-Blood Confidential -Magnus Chase The Sword of Summer Ughhhhh the struggle. I hope to God that I'll finish Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. P.S. When I watched Love, Simon I got motivated to read the book and power through it.
I completly love your energy & the fact that you are a male reader. It gives hope for other guys out there who loves reading. & i'm currently reading 'Scarlet' by Marissa Meyer 😀
Currently reading Strange the dreamer and Children of blood and bone! Both are hecka amazing!😃🎉 Your vlogs are always hella aesthetically pleasing, keep up the good work dude!
This was a really nice watch, thanks a lot for sharing this vlog, Jesse =) I'm a new viewer but I really enjoy your content so keep up the great work! :D I had a very much bookstory day yesterday myself when I was strolling through the city together with my friend (who is also a reader) and we went to two different book stores and a second hand shop which has a book section too. One of the bookshops I actually never went into before because it was already closed at the times I passed by, but finally managed to get in and I think it's my favourite bookstore! Maybe that's because it's an English bookstore and I prefer reading English books (my native language is German), but also the vibes are great and I just enjoyed it a lot! Will definitely try to get there more often in the future. What I'm currently reading... "A Gathering of Shadows" by V. E. Schwab and "The memoirs of Mary Ann Winkowski - investigating the paranormal" as told to David Powers. Have a nice day! Sky
I don’t really have any bookstores other than Books and Books and Barnes and Noble. But I love Books and Books because a bunch of authors go there and it’s nice to be there. I’m currently reading Lady Audley’s Secret for school and I’m really enjoying it! I hope you catch up on ACOTAR! I’m hoping to read ACOMAF soon and I hope you catch up to King’s Cage because I’m debating reading it. Want to know your thoughts! I really enjoyed this bookstore vlog! Can’t wait to see more of it soon!
I now buy books online more frequently since the bookstores near me often don't have the books I want or are too expensive. I love bookfairs because you can get hardcovers for really cheap price, I even see a couple of people bringing suitcases to put books!
One of my favorite bookstores is the Bookworm which is in the next town over from where I live. It has stacks on stacks on stacks of books and I absolutely love digging through them! Whenever I go, someone has to give me a time limit because I can spend hours just browsing. Also, I’m currently reading Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz.
I love Joseph Beth! I’m fairly sure it’s just local to the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana area, but I love the one here in Cincinnati! It was kind of weird to hear you talk about KY cities bc I’ve been to them so often lol
Here in the Philippines we have National Bookstore and Fully Booked. My go-to is National Bookstore because its almost everywhere, tho titles are limited in some provinces. And also Booksale for second hand scores. There's also alot of online sellers of pre-loved books if you want to be able to read and collect books but you're on a budget. I wanted to try book depository but I've read bad experiences of buyers when the books arrive here; either there are charges on the post office, or the books never got delivered. Sadly, reading is a luxury here so not everyone is interested in reading or buying books. I took reading seriously late last year, since I graduated from college and got work I get to buy my own books guilt-free. I'm just starting out, but I'm excited to see how I grow as a reader this year! Right now I just finished A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray and I'm so glad the cover art lived up to the content of the book.
I live in South Africa, so we dont have as many book stores as you do, so I get most of my books from libraries. I'm currently reading Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak and I'm LOVING IT!!!!
My favorite book store is the half price book store that the local library runs all the books are donated so there's not a huge variety or any of the newer ones but I found several good books there (including Rangers Apprentice book 6, mistborn, bloodline, and smart girls get what they want)and I've only seen one that was $3 nothing over and right now I'm reading the 13th child I have about 30 pictures left. I will say though that even with it's a slow beginning I think it's a good final half
Aw yes please keep reading ACOTAR so you can read ACOMAF and ACOWAR!!! Take your time Jesse, but I can't wait for when you make reviews of ACOMAF and ACOWAR!!
My favorite bookstore is called An Unlikely Story. It’s in Massachusetts and owned by Jeff Kinney (he writes all the Wimpy Kid books). It’s amazing and they have great author events there too.
My favorite book store to go to is Half Price Books and I'm currently reading several books actually. I'm reading... 1. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson 2. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (The Chronicles of Narnia, # 5) by C. S. Lewis 3. Paper Towns by John Green 4. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum
My favorite bookstore is one called Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh NC. I have been going there since I was a kid. And right now, I am chugging my way through "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo".
I just visited a Barnes and Noble in Columbus Ohio today that I almost instantly fell in love with. Usually I go to a Books A Million that is closer to my house though. While I was at B&N I picked up a copy of “The Eye of the World” by Robert Jordan that I plan on reading after I finish up my long term relationship with Stephen King’s The Shining. Seeing you so invested in that Obsidio novel has me wanting to pick up the first book in that trilogy as well though 🙂 the Struggle is Real.
Hey Jesse! Think of it more like Lul-vool! And I love Lexington!!!!! I grew up there and I'm glad that you went! That Joseph Beth was my childhood bookstore!
My favorite bookstores to go to are Half Price Books and Barnes & Noble. I've always liked Half Price bcuz it's the only bookstore near me but when my mom got a new job (same spa, different location) there was a Barnes & Noble at that mall and so when we went there so she could meet her new boss I saw the Barnes & Noble and convinced my dad to take me in (much to my brothers dismay) I quite enjoyed it. When I was there I also discovered the book Date Me, Bryson Keller and l loved it.
A) The Hard to Find Book Store, Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand. A 3 floor secondhand bookstore crammed full of books. B) Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
My favorite bookstore is probably Thriftbooks if that counts! I am currently reading "Road From Gap Creek." You are awesome Jesse and I love your channel!!
I LOVE THE WAY YOU EDIT YOUR VLOGS!! I FULLY APPRECIATE HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES YOU TO MAKE AND EDIT THEM! Oh my gosh, I'm in the same situation right now- in the middle of too many books! I've started Wuthering Heights, American Isis: The Life and Art of Sylvia Plath, All The Bright Places, The Little Friend, The Woman In White, and I think that's it. LOL I THINK THAT'S IT! I need to finish them before starting any more books, but I'm also with you like I NEED to get and read Obsidio ASAP!
You won’t regret finishing The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. I know the book is slow paced but I can assure you that things will pick up!!! Also, I am planning on reading I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak because I want to be ready to read his new book!!!
I absolutely love the Joseph Beth bookstore in Lexington, I go there every time I visit my aunt and it's amazing!! I'd honestly live there if I could:D
I really loved the Strand bookstore! I’m currently reading a couple of books at a time because I don’t know why!! I put it down and say I’m going to go start another book. I’m in the middle of kings cage and love letters to the dead. I’m going to read RUSH because my friend actually recommended me this so I’m definitely going to read it
Currently I am in Illinois and my favorite bookstore is 2nd & Charles. Bookish stuff as well as decent prices. I just finished "the leaving" and currently reading "me after you" , " the hate you give" , " the rule of mirrors" and " what makes your brain happy and why you should do the opposite"
i think this might be one of my favorite videos of yours!!
emmmabooks Mine too!
I agree!!
Agree(not only bccs I LOVE both of your channels lol)
I really agree..
Same
*drops homework, watches Jesse video, laughs uncontrollably about the face distortions, fangirls alongside Jesse about Marvel and oohs and awes at all the pretty bookstores* :)
ReadtoBreathe K legit me in one paragraph
Just another Monday
sending each other books from the random places we visit is definitely a thing 😂
missemmareadsalot that is such a fun idea
Living I a bookstore would by fine. I live in a cave beneath a library without any problems.
THE BOOK GOBLIN OH MY GOD YOU'RE AN INSPIRATION
The Book Goblin can I move in? You are my favorite booktuber!!!
I'm not sure. I find humans smell of things like soap. Disgusting.
2 years ago I went on a bookstore crawl for my birthday (we went to like 5 or 6 bookstores - I bought like 20 books with all the birthday money I got) we went to this one kids bookstore and it was just so fun and quaint, its in Rotterdam and called "Ver Van hier" - and they had a cafe, really enjoyed going there :P My favorite though is the Cathedral in Maastricht - really beautiful bookstore

it was a very vloggity vlog time
It was a very vloggity vlog vlog
Jesse thank you for being an inspiration to all the guys who love reading, I'm so lucky to have you as my role model!
Cesar Acts seriously tho!! It’s awesome! It is weird how it seems roles have “switched”. Meaning it seems like there’s more female writers, when writing used to be considered a male occupation. Life is weird.
That thick book is the SHORTEST in the trilogy?!
S.L. The Coffee Addict the series is told through all kinds of mixed media. It's very rare to find pages that are like regular pages in a book. So they fly by really quickly.
Jelke Lenaerts Oh...thanks!
S.L. The Coffee Addict yeah like Jelke said they fly by really quickly. I finished the first in a day and the second in two days. Also, that one isn't too much shorter it's just closer to 600 pages rather than 700, like the other two.
@@lenaertsjelke so cool though because obsidio is like the most normal-texted book.. Like the video analysts... So it's like longer in that way
Yes....only readers understand$-$
I FORCE myself to finish books before I start new books.
Me everytime
Jenna M omg me too
Me too!
That's so me
I can related
I keep looking at Thornhill at the book store. It's so pretty! You seriously need to finish Kings Cage though. War Storm is coming!
Obsidio is a damn good reason to ditch other books :P
My fave book store to go to is Dymocks Melbourne because you have to go down an escalator and all the books are spread out before you
I really love visiting bookstores that are just quiet and sort of under rated. There is one in my hometown and I just love going there and spending time. Also currently I'm reading the French version of The little prince ❣️
I wish I had cool bookstores around where I live D:
I feel ya, person

I could spend ALL day in a coffee shop & a book store. I’ve always been super into reading but in college-I’ve been so occupied. You kind of got me back into reading and taking for myself to read and relax. 🙌🏻
Obsidio is not the shortest in the trilogy! Just looks that way because of the new paper. Also, my name is in it!
I love this vlog video you should do more you inspire me to be a reader
Hailey Magerko Determination and a good book is all it takes to turn someone into a reader
Im already a reader^-^ and it is super cool!
He was so close to me!!! Why!!!!!!!!!!😩

I love it every time I see that you posted a new video. Your videos always make me smile.
I love The Last Bookstore in downtown LA, it’s beautiful! And reading A Court of Mist and Fury-but in a bit of a slump boo!

It's cold here in Germany too... :( And that's what they call spring?
Zoe Potter I live in Germany as well and I’ve been looking forward to spring but it snowed today 😒🙄
Currently rereading Ranger’s Apprentice book 1, Ruins of Gorlan!!!
I live in South Africa, so we dont have as many book stores as you do, so I get most of my books from libraries. I'm currently reading Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak and I'm LOVING IT!!!!
I really like how you styled a clip of this video to look like it was from a vhs. Good job, Jesse!
My favorite book store is the half price book store that the local library runs all the books are donated so there's not a huge variety or any of the newer ones but I found several good books there (including Rangers Apprentice book 6, mistborn, bloodline, and smart girls get what they want)and I've only seen one that was $3 nothing over
and
right now I'm reading the 13th child I have about 30 pictures left. I will say though that even with it's a slow beginning I think it's a good final half
Restore Me is SOOOOO good so I hope you read it soon!!
Yeah Josef Beth Book stores are huge here in Kentucky and you can even call books in so you don't have to go look for it
I’m loving the editing that you did!

My favorite bookstore is Anderson! It is so great! The book I am reading right now is Six Of Crows
I love the independently owned book stores that are aesthetically pleasing, and currently I’m reading Daughter Of Deep Silence. :D
Honestly Jesse's editing is on another level

Hey Jesse! Think of it more like Lul-vool! And I love Lexington!!!!! I grew up there and I'm glad that you went! That Joseph Beth was my childhood bookstore!
And it's kind of a chain, but not really! There's a couple more outside of Lexington, but it's local to the Kentucky/Ohio area!
Ahhh! That Joseph-Beth is where I went to get the final Harry Potter book at midnight when it was released. I miss it.

OMG I JUST NOTICED JESSE'S HOODIE AT THE END :O
Aaaahhh you gotta love the Marauders
You won’t regret finishing The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. I know the book is slow paced but I can assure you that things will pick up!!!
