    Hi have you ever seen the vlog Becky @acerhomestead she does frozen meals as well she uses a crockpot to do meals. The meal cooks during the day in the crockpot without the stress of having to come home and cook for the evening meal. This could help. I even had a close friend prepare the meals for the week with her husband over the weekends. So they do the meals and spend time together. Just sending out ideas. Good luck with the grocery budget this month.👍

    Wow, very organised! I’m not sure I could do a monthly meal plan as it feels like the end of the month is too far away and there’s nothing to look forward to if that makes sense? So would be good to see how you get on! 🤞🏻 At some point would you mind doing a cash stuffing video for beginners? I really want to start and have the wallets ready etc but every month I just seem to follow the same pattern 😣 Love your videos. You explain things so well. You and your family should be super proud of what you’ve achieved x

      When I started cash stuffing I just did a couple of annual sinking funds, then added in a couple of variable before I started cash stuffing my weekly expenses. Start small and good luck with giving it a go 🙂

    Like you say just chuck them in and you only use what you need so they're not wasteful

    That meal plan is impressive, I only plan weekly as I go off fancying meals so monthly wouldn't work for me. I have tried it 😂🙈 .. It's great to have treats days and days off from cooking, we always have a Saturday night takeaway as a day off 😀. Fab haul ❤❤

    Great haul and meal plan. I believe all the Heck range are GF. The sausages are 97% pork and 3.25 for 6 from Sainsburys, they should be on sale in Tesco too, not sure how they compare to Tesco Finest price wise

    Saturday night is a no cook night as well. Theres 2 adults in our house and we spend about £50 a week on food. We get most of our food from m & s and aldi. I think we do well, i think the key for us is that we really only buy what we need and steer clear of snacks (which can be quite hard) we waste very little. I try to be virtuous and use what weve got for our next meal if that makes sense, rather than going out and buying more

    • @50somethingbudgets
      @50somethingbudgets  9 месяцев назад

      We definitely waste more than we should 😔 In an ideal world I would like to spend about £70/week a for the 3 of us but we have a long way to go to get there. You do very well on £50/week 🙂

    Wow quick get cooking! You’re so organised, I can only plan one day at a time am rubbish at it. Am going to batch cook one recipe a week and gradually stick up the freezer. Branston beans are the best 😊 We are getting a Costco next year finally. Is the frozen fruit loads cheaper than Tescos?

    • @50somethingbudgets
      @50somethingbudgets  9 месяцев назад

      The fruit is cheaper than Tesco and the raspberries are massive! I really must set a day aside this weekend to batch cook, even cooking double at a time and sticking half in the freezer is really useful.

  • @helentaylor8126
    @helentaylor8126 9 месяцев назад

    Could you do the same with the sausages as you have done with the pasta and keep the gluten free ones just for you?
    I also hate cooking on a saturday night too, so ive started to either use the slow cooker on a saturday or we eat our big meal at lunch time instead if we are all at home which is working so much better for us as we're not tempted to just get a takeaway instead!

    • @50somethingbudgets
      @50somethingbudgets  9 месяцев назад

      Buying the muggles different sausages is something to think about. I usually put them in the air fryer but they would have to be cooked separately if they were GF and not GF and would have to be GF if in a casserole we all eat due to cross contamination issues. I’m glad it’s not just me who hates cooking on a Saturday 🤣

    Great food haul 👏
    I can only suggest to half the housework in order to batch cook as batch cooking definitely helps with the food finances I have found & with all that protein should keep everyone full so as not to snack 🤞🏻😂xx

      It tends to be the weekend mainly as we are usually at the gym 3 times during the week so little drinking during the week but that is a good idea for those times he wants extra like tonight when the footie is on x
