It’s just my husband and me at home now too it still cost more than I want to pay to eat out.
We eat most of our meals at home and I take all my lunch snacks drinks to work with me.

I always took umbrage at the statement "God helps those who help themselves" but I can kinda see why people say that. Is there a scripture for that or is it just implied, I've always wondered. 🤔

Even 1 or 2 people, eating from home saves enormously. It forces eating leftoves and meal planning and portion control.

You might want to talk to your pediatrician about lactase supplements for Layla. They really can be a lifesaver, not to mention a money saver. It's possible that if you cut one into pieces and crushed them into powder, it could help a lot.

I hear what you're saying about eating out. Yesterday we had three adults and one child go to a local diner. Nobody had anything fancy, just burgers and breakfast food. With the tip, it was almost $90!
Tiffany, check labels things you would not think that have dairy in it does, its in alot of different things.
Tiffany , it’s just the two of us and it still costs a lot to eat out , and you are right , it’s not even that great , we are usually disappointed in our food eating out thinking we can cook it at home better and healthier and cheaper , so we too eat at home for the majority of our meals 😊

I get it at Aldi and mix with a spoon of peanut butter for breakfast! Keeps me going for hours! So good!

We are going to Sam’s Club tomorrow after church. I’ve got the list made. We aren’t doing eat at home entirely because our church is a hour away plus we are an hour ahead so after it’s over we go out but other than that it’s eat at home!!! It really is so much better for your health and wallet. 😊

It's crazy how much food prices are right now. Idk how or when they're ever gonna go down but I'm ready for it. My family of 4 struggles sometimes because of how much it is now. So I love getting meal and grocery ideas from you. Can't wait to see qhat you make with the cheese ravioli😊.

Great haul. But I agree…prices are outrageous, and getting worse.
We spent $15.00 on meat. Hubby got a 100 gift certificate from our local meat market for 20 yr of services at this job! So our next month of meat will be cheap this time lol. Then $140.00 at Walmart for I'm hoping the month. But our rule is we can go back to the store but not to restaurants lol. So far we are doing good!

Groceries are so expensive, I agree 100%! Does Layla have a dairy allergy or is she lactose intolerant? My husband is lactose intolerant and takes a lactaid pill before eating anything with dairy in it. I don’t know if they makes those for a child as young as Layla is. My husband isn’t a fan of any of the lactose free cheese, however we buy the Lactaid brand cottage cheese, ice cream, milk, and they have sour cream too. Lactaid brand is a little more expensive than other lactose free brands, but the taste is really good.
I’m not sure which she is yet.
@@allthingshomeytwhen my husband was in kindergarten he’d be in the nurses office with a stomachache as soon as he got to school. Basically every day. He ate cereal with milk for breakfast almost every day. It took awhile to put the two together, but that’s when they found out he’s lactose intolerant. I used to always buy 2 milks, one for him and one for myself and our kids. I haven’t done that in a long time. We just buy the lactose free kind now.

Ugh yes. Thank you! That may explain something. She had a reaction the other day and I couldn’t figure out what from. I don’t remember if it lined up with when I used those or not because I can’t remember what day it was now compared to when we ate them but I’m wondering now if it was that.
