- 👋 Hello, it’s Annette here at Pine Ridge Cottage. Thanks for joining me in my short-term emergency pantry. It’s important now more than ever to have a back stock supply on hand. By adding an extra item or 2 each time you shop, you’ll get your prep pantry together in no time!

I am an older lady with 6 kitties in an 720 square foot apartment. $631 a month. Hello! anyway, I will have to get more of those stainless shelves for growing plants indoors and for my pantry. It's hard to put things where they can't be seen. My neighbors are very greedy! I love sharing but....In Venezuela they have reportedly EATEN all of their pets and zoo animals. If it comes to that I am finished. That is not a world I wish to inhabit. I have been prepping since COVID. I have the books and the knowledge. Surely I'll find work soon.
Most people don't realize a proper pantry takes years to build. Especially if you're rotating and living out of it. Ya need a list to keep track of your lists! 😅
You’re right 👍. I have a pantry log- i list item, amount then in and out and date some that are many of like P butter, and nothing stays in plastic or bags. All glass
@katehopkinsbrent5573 good plan! To extend shelf life of peanut butter pour a thin layer of honey over it to cover and seal it. Honey is antibacterial and helps stop peanut butter from breaking down as fast
We turned our unused formal dining room into a storage area for all sorts of stuff. Such a better use of space!
@@WinsomeWinslet I agree!
We turned a front living room/company room into the family pantry and canning storage.
😊 It works for us.
@@angelal6700 that’s impressive! Goals!
New to channel. Hubby on broad a little now since Covid hit and we had to live off the stock pile I built when we had Covid twice. Haven’t brought detergent or softener before Covid . I catch stuff on sale or clearance . One is none and two is one
@@saracash7959 Welcome. Being prepared to some degree is a necessity.
Finally a video I can use ❤ thanks 😊
@@BarryRosen-io6jh great - glad to hear it!
Thank you for sharing!
@@sharleneknaus3664 you’re welcome.
New sub, great video and ideas.
@@conniewach7872 Thanks for subscribing! I appreciate you and I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
You seem very prepared. I just dont understand why you have things on hand that you don't typically use or like. Personally I wouldn't do that.
I misspoke again. 😮 Some of the items that I buy are not necessarily my “preferred “ brands but that doesn’t mean I won’t use them. There’s no waste here. I I buy it, I use it. For instance if I don’t use the shampoo as shampoo, I will use it as hand soap or sink & tub cleaner. And if for some reason I decide not to use something myself, I will put it in the bags I donate to my local food pantry or church pantry.
But I appreciate the comment.
I have stuff in 4 different places. One us in another building its my lts. I have my short term in kitchen, and spices.....too many lol. I have a bedroom closet for snacks, and some dried goods. A hall closet for more food. And a converted garage as a main/mid pantry with freezers as well. I took pics of my stuff in my lts. But one day hope to get a bit more organized and do lists. As we have a freeze drier and i have totes with said goods.
@@sunshineonmapleridgeacres1376 wow!🤩 Good job!
I have my stuff spread around too. My cupboard space is limited.
I'm not a Gain laundry fan either. Way too strong. Headache inducing!
I am very allergic to Gain also. Worst hives of my life! Been several years since it happened but I won't go anywhere near it. I won't even touch the gain scented stuff just to be certain.
