Thanks for watching!
Love and God Bless,
Mary
I live in Oregon and we don’t have an Aldis. Is there a comparable store in other states?
Yipes! Is that dangerous you have to cook right away?
I have never been to Aldi’s! I know u have to put a quartet in the cart, what about bags for your groceries?
Hi sweet Mary, congrats on almost a million Subscribers!🎊
Tv
Shopping tip! Get to Aldi's first thing in the morning and go to the meat section where they will often have 50% off on meat that is about to expire!
WOW!! Great tip!!
Yes! I just got 3 whole organic free range chickens half off yesterday.
@@babsblaney yeah... It's a double win when the markdowns are organic!
I used to shop at ALDI in Germany all the time. But no ALDI in Alaska. Their prices would be much higher here anyway. Oh well, that’s the price we pay for living in the last frontier
This is why I opt to go 2-3 hours after the store opening. This allows staff members of the meat/produce/bakery department some time to mark down their products. At some point, those items would be gone by lunch hour. The same could be said for the 2nd markdown which happens hours before closing, especially on pre-prep-food/food-to-go. But do be mindful of "dinner rush" hours as well.
Mary - Next time you're shopping for chocolate at Aldi, don't miss the Moser-Roth brand. The bars are over 4 ounces for only $2 (5 individually wrapped smaller bars inside each package). Perfect portion control and we love all the varieties, especially the dark sea salt caramel and the 85% dark (not bitter at all). Highly recommend.
Love them!
These are my favorite- 85% cacao. After snacking on these for years, I can no longer tolerate the too sweet Hershey milk chocolate.
I always grab some of their chocolate. Yes, it is delicious.
Love the Moser-Roth chocolate!!
All dark chocolate 🍫 they make is absolutely delish!!! And ... A great price
Mary, your voice is very calming. It has an ASMR effect. This world is so bizarre that between the invaluable information you share here on your channel plus your pleasant way is just priceless. Thank you ❤
I agree! ❤
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agree!
EVERYONE...... Get Mary's book!! It truly is phenomenal!! I bought 2! One as a gift because it truly is one book only needed for everything to survive. A must for my grown children when I'm not around.
Wow!! Thank you!!
This has been a good year for cherries. Walmart and Kroger has had cherries for $1.99 a lb for a couple of weeks now. They are in excellent shape and really flavorful. They really help with gout for those who suffer from it.
not here in Ontario, wish i could get cherries at a good price.
It was probably the brutal heatwave across Texas this year that killed a lot of the corn. My freezer is stocked to the gills with fresh corn right now. At the end of July I took a little mini-vacation to see family back in Iowa. The corn was ready and almost every farmer was selling sweet corn at rock bottom prices (about 2 ears for $1). I also hit several Amish and Mennonite stores and farm stands, buying all kinds of healthy home-grown goodies and produce. But the craziest thing I saw was an "Amish ALDI store" in the middle of rural Iowa. Apparently, the owner of this Amish store goes probably to Des Moines, buys ALDI products, and resells them to his Amish neighbors. --Even the Amish admit defeat!! ALDI is able to produce great products at cheap prices that even the Amish cannot beat them. 😅 😊
ALDI was one of my mother’s favorite stores. Being a German origin store made it extra special for her. During holidays they would stock things she knew as a child. She simply loved it.
I love those pastured eggs at Aldi... the yolks are SO dark gold:-)
We got your book today "it was the LAST copy at our Barnes & Noble in Cary, NC and we searched and searched to find it!" Huge WIN!!! So happy!!! ❣❣❣
Wow!! Thank you!! ❤️🤗❤️
I had an Aldi's cashier tell me the same thing. Come first thing in the mornings. Cashier also stated, that items are often marked down in the mornings without any notification until the item is rang out. For example I had a $26 pan rang up for $2.47. Everyone in line left and purchased the pans. Bottom line shop first thing in the morning.
Hi Mary. Love your videos. Here in the UK, Aldi sell Peanut Butter made in the USA. Its pure peanuts, nothing addded. I am seriously addicted to the crunchy peanut butter in the big plastic tub £3.99. A fresh stick of celery crunched and dipped many times into the peanut butter is so so good.
Thanks for the Aldi’s tips! I just bought some of the Irish butter and vintage cheddar cheese. Haven’t tried the butter yet, but that cheese is delicious and “clean”. I appreciate your info!! ❤️
Thank you so much for this video Mary. I am a ketovore and these products that you have brought to our attention are perfect.❤️
Absolutely love Aldi’s. Been shopping there for decades, since the first one opened in Connecticut. But I still have trouble convincing some of my friends about the quality…which is top notch. Their cherries this summer were amazing.
I love the Aldi organic whole bean coffee you mention, and the Honduras beans are low acid, which is important to me. Aldi cheese is always a fantastic deal, I love the sharp Vermont cheddar too. Their white chocolate is another favorite, and the half and half is $1 per quart cheaper than anywhere else near me. I will experiment making my own with the organic milk and heavy cream as you suggested, though, that sounds great. I saw a great price on BBQ seasonings pack this week. Be careful with the avocados as sometimes they have too many overripe ones in the bags. Organic bananas are only two cents per pound more than the regular banana prices at my local grocers. I'm glad to see you doing these Aldi shopping hauls, I am a huge fan.

Thank you Mary, for the wonderful Aldi video. I love shopping at Aldi. Yes, I would enjoy seeing more Aldi videos.
Hi Mary! Thanks for taking us on a field trip today😊 We LOVE shopping at Aldi's. So many items are much cheaper than local grocery store. I'm with you, I can't leave Aldi without checking the chocolate...lol My granddaughter is 5 and just a tad spoiled by me. She loves the chocolate from Aldi, and so do I. In my personal opinion, the chocolates from Germany and Switzerland are more creamy and not as waxy as American chocolate. Thanks for all the great tips. I'll have to pop over to my Aldi's this week and stock up on a few things.
I agree and I’m American. I cannot stand Hershey’s chocolate bars. Yuck.
I'm Blessed to love in Rural farm area.Amish farms, I grew a good size garden and canned. But the Amish had bumpee crops this year, beautiful vegs.Eggs, chicken, Unpasteurized milk..very reasonable and bulk ..
Thank you for explaining the differences. Great show.
Got your cookbook and it looks amazing. I really think I need to get one for my daughters and DIL.
I was impressed at how easy the recipes seemed and how many things are in that book. All my kids are trying to eat better and your book would really help them.. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a really good basic cookbook on classic recipes and how to's.
I love your ideas about these foods!! I wish we had an Aldi here, but I can apply your info to the foods they carry here. TYM 😊❤️
Hi Mary! Sweet friend. I’m you’re first friend listening. I’m also in Texas and love ❤ALDIs. You’re such an inspiration. Thank you so much for posting regularly. I’ve learned a ton.
Howdy Neighbor!! Yay! Thank you! So happy we are on this traditional foods journey together! Love, Mary
Regarding the ground beef-it depends what dish you are making which percent of fat you want. For example, when making lasagna or spaghetti, I prefer less fat, or 93%lean. When I make meatloaf, I prefer the 85% lean, because the higher fat content will be a moist meatloaf.
Thank you for this video, and all the hard work you do for your subscribers
When making lasagna or spaghetti, you can cook the 85% ground beef then drain off the fat and save it for frying. Win-win. Love, Mary
I shop just like you, Mary!! Those pasture raised eggs are irreplaceable!! Cant find better anywhere else! The goldenrod color if the yolks tell all. Best price too. I love the organic dairy products, too + everything else you showed. I also buy organic thin sliced smoked turkey there for lunchtime wraps in my egg white wraps from there!!
I love your channel. I am not a good cook at all, but you are teaching me so much!!! There are so many food products full of additives. I appreciate and love your Aldi finds so much!! Thank you!
Wow!! Thank you!!
So happy your okay! Been worried because of your weather. I'm in IL so I've only experienced 100 degree weather but no fires or floods.
Their hummus is the best as well. My favorite is the significantly spicy flavor. Also- my daughter absolutely loves their kombucha. Great vid Mary!!
Loved this video! Very helpful. We don’t have an Aldi close , but when I get to the big city I like to stop and shop. Thank you! Come to Nebraska we have lots of corn available ! 💕
Ty Mary! I love going on these shopping trips with you!
I always chuckle that the label on the pasture raised eggs says "100% vegetable fed". I guess the farmers tell their girls to not eat the bugs found in the pasture.
😂😂😂
That's so funny I never thought of that.
My girls loved all the grasshoppers they could get their beaks around! I just never knew they were veggies! Lol 😊
Thank you for another great video. Aldi is always my first stop when monthly shopping begins. Keep’em coming!!!
Hi sweet Mary. As and FYI for you, I wanted to share that, sadly, Aldi’s prices are not the same throughout the United States. I live in Southern California and rushed to Aldi’s the moment I saw your video yesterday (8/26). Each of the 10 items and the 3 bonus items were anywhere from $2 to $4 more per lb. or per item at sale prices, compared to the prices you showed us. The mini avocados came 4 in a bag on sale for $4.79. Right now, I can get 4 large Haas Avocados at Sprouts on sale for $4.50. In each case, Costco has better pricing for a similar version of each product. By the way, it looks like Costco does have same pricing throughout the USA, because their prices were the same as in your Costco video. Thank you for all your wonderful teachings sweet Mary. Margie
I was just there and bought mostly fruit and vegetables! 😊 I buy what I need! 😌 I do think your video was helpful! 🤗
Thank you, for the organic look and see. I will be buying them 🎉.
Thank you Mary! I shop at Aldi, although not as much as other stores, and I will be sure to look for these deals!
Yeah, those sea salt caramels...❤❤❤, you got to get some for the Hollydaze. And when they are in, the chocolate covered expresso beans for New Year's Eve and tiramisu!😊😊😊
I only just found your channel and I LOVE it. So much great info. TY!!❤
Hi Mary,
I like your information! You just showed the 🌽, I drive out in the country in Michigan for work and the farmers have produce stands out, $3.00 for a dozen. I’ve bought zucchini, cucumbers 🥒 and tomatoes 🍅 and sometimes they just ask for a donation. Also yellow squash, green beans and watermelon. Hope that helps the viewers too! ❤❤❤
Thank you, Mary. Lots of love to you and your family
Their chocolate selection is awesome!
Love your videos. So informative. Thank you so much for all you do !
A great list of Aldi's foods to buy and keep on hand, Mary. Hope you all are having a great weekend.
Hi Rob! Thanks so much!! Hope you and the SG family are doing great!! 🤗
Thank you so much for sharing this great video! Lots of wonderful tips as well. That sparkling kambucha looks so refreshing. And I am definitely going to get the mini avocados as well. Heading to my neighborhood Aldi to stock up on these:)
Mini avacados picked way green ..been in a brown paper bag for 5-6 days stillnot ripened disappoint because I used to always buy
This is great! Thank you! I like the early morning idea too!
We need an Aldi in Canada. Great video Mary.
Mary, I love these videos you do at Aldi's and Costco. I live an hour away from Aldi, but made it there yesterday. The ground beef was not on sale. There was 1 left of the 85%; no other ground beef. I got the last one and then asked the man stocking if they had more; tomorrow was the answer. I told him it was $2.99 in Texas. He said that was a good deal. I paid $4.69. But I did grab some of those good coffee beans. No cherries here. I live in the east coast.
I received your cookbook yesterday! I love it!
Yay!! Thank you!! Love, Mary
Thanks I just started shopping at aldis since we are obnoxious and spend 1200$ a month in food for 2 adults and a baby it’s better than we thought
I just recently bought the sea salt dark chocolate covered caramels at Aldi and they are so rich and delicious. I limit myself to one per day!
So good!
They have them at Costco labeled Sanders....that is a company all those from Michigan are very familiar with. Bought a dozen containers when they were on special there cause I love them and so do all the kids I know.
The sea salt chocolates are very good! Thanks for the shopping tips!! ❤❤
Thank you Mary. Some great buys.❤
Good video, cage free can still be in a warehouse room, pasture raised can be in an empty lot that is barren with stuff thrown in it. Also check the price per pound or ounce for the best deal.
The ground beef is really good! It’s usually 5.99 at my Aldi, but I stock up when the budget allows!
We are getting an Aldi near my town. Seeing this video is making me excited. Cuz our other stores have terrible selection for organic or grass fed.
BTW, I am definitely a Mary's nest fan. I enjoy all your information tremendously.
We get 18-24 count pasture raised eggs at B.J.'s at $6.99 depending on the brand they have in stock (Pete & Jerry's or Nellies).
That coffee is wonderful.
I have been looking at your new book all afternoon- I just love it!!
Wow!! Thank you!! ❤️🤗❤️
Fantiastic finds! Thank you so much!!!!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for this Aldi info. 😊
Thank you so much-for a very long time it has been a 45 minute drive to Aldi. Now, my little town of Hillsborough NC is getting Aldi. The support for walls is up. It really is coming! Now, thanks to your vid I know some things to look for that I would not have thought of. Melody B in NC
im happy and excited for you I love Aldi people can eat very well for good prices, I love it hope you will too
Omg LOVE your dog! I am a yellow lab lover. Our Sadie will be 8 this year. They are smart and always want to be with you.❤
So true!! I love Indy SO much!!❤️🐶❤️
Thank you ! We love Aldis
Loaf of sandwich bread for 50 cents. By no means an artisan bread, but it does the trick for a quick pb&j or a grilled cheese sandwich.
Went to Aldi for the first time. Thank goodness for your tips. Here in north NJ, we only have a few nice grocery stores. Most are not impressive. So the disorganized store near me did not derail me. I got the meat and butter and cheese and found a few more healthy bargains. If I had not seen P
people like you shopping there I would have walked out. My store is not well stocked or organized. Very strange vibe but there are good bargains.
Love the Honduras whole bean coffee
great finds, thanks 🎉😊
Thank you Mary. What a blessing.
Looks like a trip to Aldi’s is in my future!
Great tips! I've never been to an Aldi's. I'll have to visit one this week.
I always pick up the pizza dough for homemade pizza, calzones, and pepperoni garlic knots.
Hello Early Bird
Thank you so very much for taking the “guess work” away for so very much of Every Day ✨🌻✨
You are so welcome!
They are finally building an aldi close to me.i cant wait
Thank you Mary, enjoyed the price info.🙂👍
I got your cookbook in the mail from my pre-order. LOVE LOVE IT 💝👍👏👏👏
Yay!! Thank you!! ❤️🤗❤️
Mary, thank you so much for these tips. I;ll be checking out my local Aldi for the kaboucha and several other items. Thank you,
Hey Denise! Thanks for visiting! ❤️🤗❤️
❤
I was interested in the ground beef but I see it’s not a product of America. We need to support our farmers and ranchers.
America passed a bill to sell lab created meat, so.....
I buy most of the products you mentioned Mary but I was surprised you didn’t stress organic corn and cherries since especially corn is GMO, genetically modified and or treated with round up! Cherries are very good for your blood but I go organic with those as well and sometimes these days it is better to get things from other countries where GMO’s are actually prohibited. The US allows way too many companies to mess with our food and make us sick 🤢
I didn't think sweet corn was gmo. I know field corn is, used for animal feeds, cereals, corn chips, etc. Maybe I'm not up to date?
Most corn is GMOed in the US I believe
The cherries are really good. I agree.
Yes it is.
GMO is good for you! Fewer pesticides!!
Really enjoyed your Aldi’s haul❤
I really love their fresh egg rolls, chicken or pork and cabbage, not greasy because just bake in oven for 15 minutes.
Hey, Miss Mary, my Aldi had the mini avocados for $1.89! I grabbed a bag of them, some dry beans and rice, organic butter and Irish butter (both of which I regularly buy), Irish Cheddar, prosciutto, and mandarin oranges (which I canned!)
Love the ground beef too!
I always stock up on the organic whole milk at Adli's - the expiration date compared to other store's regular milk options lasts for up to 2 months LONGER!!!
I live in Fort Worth and I have never been to Aldi's even though there is one right next door to my Walmart. I really appreciate all the information you provide but this time the only items that interested me were the avocados and cherries. Please keep sharing with us we love you 💜💜💜💜
@unigirltx I'm in Fort worth. The only store I go to is aldi. Unless there's something special I need that I can't get there, but otherwise that's the best store for the price of food
I don't have an Aldi in my area, but it looks good. Chocolate bars at the dollar tree are made in Poland and very limited ingredients. Yummy.
We shop Aldi first & walk out with a lot more bags of food per 1$. Then we go to the local lower priced food chain. I use their Italian mineral water to help distract from alcohol use.
Interesting
That beef runs 5.99 at my Aldi in Minnesota. I buy it all the time and it's very good.
I LOVE Aldi..there are a couple of things that I don't like and I buy elsewhere. I prob buy 95% of my groceries at Aldi including toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent and dish detergent. I love their produce and their sprouted grain organic bread and the sour dough bread. Their cranberry white cheddar cheese (it's in a round and it's $3 for 8 ounces) is addictive...my husband and I can't stop eating it. I'm lactose intolerant and a half gallon of lactose free milk is $3.19...and the organic 100% grass fed ground beef tastes like hamb. used to taste when I was a kid...AND the price...reg price is $5.49 a pound but it's been on sale for several weeks now for $3.99 a pound and I stocked up...their premium ground breakfast sausage in the best and it's $2.19 a pound...it compares to name brands, but it's better. I could go on and on but I'll end with this: don't turn your nose up like a friend of mine did b/c she didn't recognize any of the brands and had to put a quarter in the lock to get a cart and had to bring your own bags or pay for your bags at 5 cents a bag...she's on a tight budget and missing out. Keep some quarters in your car and don't use them for anything else; same for bags..keep them in the trunk of the car.
The ROTH Chocolate bars that were behind Mary, are delicious!
Thank you. Funny how prices vary. I think Ruth at same burger is 4.99 at our store. I do love ALDIs for so many things especially Half and Half, butter, sour cream, chocolates, and vegetables and their canned fall soups. ❤
I attest that those pasture eggs from aldi taste amazing. I first discovered them when they were 2.99 a dozen ❤️❤️
I'm obsessed with the small curd cottage cheese
Mary, I would like to suggest that, in order to ground coffee on a power outage, people need to have alternative ways of powering items like the coffee grinder.
Yes indeed! I keep one with my preps. ❤️🤗❤️
We don’t have Aldi here in Norway, but I still find the information useful, and I do get ideas as you share your thoughts as you go through things. Seeing your cheerful smile is also brightening up my day ☺ You are a lovely person, and making learning new things a pleasure.
I got your book in the mail this Thursday, and was really excited about that. 😉 So happy when I found it for sale in the online book store, and ordered it the day after, to make sure it would come about the same time I returned home from a family event (My younger brother’s wedding)☺
Touching the title, I could feel it emphasized with the extra little detail there. Things like that does not go unnoticed, and I appreciate attention to little details like that. I also love that the book is a «how to» manual, and not just a cookbook. The info is easy to scroll up too, when I need to review something I need to freshen up. One of the best investments I’ve made in a while for sure. Knowlegde is gold. Thank you for sharing 🥰
We love Aldi here too❤ great video
Lots of sweet corn here in MN going for $6 a dozen. So good and sweet.
I love your videos….I wish I had an ALDIs around me but good info for people who do
I always get the gf beef from Costco ugh it’s so dry and super pricey 😵💫 this is great to know. Thank you Mary ☺️
Miss Mary, I was wondering if you shop from Azure Standard and if you do, could you do a video on a haul so we can see your favorites? You are so thorough that I'd love to see what you like and why 😊
