On a personal note, I worked with Jane for many years. I found her to be exceptionally kind and sweet. She gave my kids a Shetland pony she had. I once went to her house with my family and one of my nephews. Her little dog nipped at the nose of my nephew. Jane was terribly upset and ran to get ointment to put on the little cut. As she was putting the ointment on his nose, she was shaking. Certainly not the sign of a murderer. Nah, she didn’t do it. She got robbed of her husband, her sons and clearly her freedom.

She created a lovely image of herself in your eyes. If you watch true crime regularly, you know by now, that people with the most loving, caring, emphatic public image (often priests, nurses, policemen, charity organizers ,...), are those who commit the worst crimes. You don't know why she was shaking. Maybe she was angry about your nephew bothering her dog. You assume that she felt horrible. You never lived with her. You know her public image only. Her sons, though, they know who she is. A good person never threatens a husband with a divorce if he does not obey to her rules. That is a huge red flag using the divorce to control somebody. A huge no-no in a marriage. Ask any therapist.

So she supposedly hit her husband over the head, strangled him, got him dressed, dragged him down stairs and into the truck then dragged him out of the truck and placed him on the side of the road, all without getting any of her DNA on him? That makes no logical sense. He was athletic and strong so the prosecution convinced the jurors that she was able to do all of that to him without him fighting back? That whole case should have been thrown out from the beginning.

That bedroom wasn't the scene of a 'violent bludgeoning' and her DNA wasn't anywhere to be found on the victim. The prosecutor asserted in court that Jane dressed the dead body in jogging clothes and hauled him to the site where he was found, which means she either 'violently bludgeoned' her husband while he was in the nude, or she undressed him out of the clothes he was murdered in, and re-clothed him in his jogging outfit. I don't believe she bludgeoned him in the nude, and there's no evidence in the bedroom or anywhere else that she undressed and re-clothed a bludgeoned body, not to mention they claim she did so without leaving any of her own DNA behind on him, as DNA testing demonstrably excluded her when it found male DNA that was not the victim's.
Those detectives should be ashamed of themselves. No follow up on the witness leads who saw the victim jogging, no follow up on the black pickup truck. Pathetic

Whether she did it or not, I'm not arguing the point. I believe the prosecutor thinks that 20 years in prison for this crime was enough. Other killers got less time. What I've seen many times is that the prosecutor will almost never agree with a not guilty verdict even if the evidence proves it. That would cast doubt on their ability to take cases to court and win.

Lack of testing is very suspect. My dogs have bled all over the house. They are farm dogs. The syringe, which looked like the most incriminating piece of evidence to me; except he didn't even have horse tranquilizer in his system.!!
I personally cut myself a lot. I work outside a lot, and live on a farm, and I am clumsy. There's blood all over my place I am sure. How could she lift him into the truck?
You all just don't want to hear it. I am shocked at all the comments raging against her, and not even listening to the problems with this case. She was locked up for 22 years, they let her go. That makes her innocent!

Very strange that the 48 hours episode doesn't mention the impending divorce, nor the recently created life insurance policy, nor did they use her actual booking photo. The evidence presented in the 48 hours episode is as sloppy as the prosecutions case, it is clearly meant to push a narrative, and this lady was ONLY released, not because of directly exonerating evidence, but due to sloppy portions of the investigation. I personally wouldn't be able to find her guilty on a jury, but personally, I agree with her son.
