Am I the only person who actually cries to this? I'm just about to turn 18, and getting ready to move out and may be going into the military. All I can think about is how my childhood is basically over and I haven't even left yet and am missing my mom terribly.
I dont have any family member in the military but this song made me cry.This is for all the mighty soldiers fighting for our country and for their families that also sacrficies because they cant see their love ones everyday.For all the kids out there who dislike or disobey their parents start to realize that your lucky to have your parents by your side all the time unlike other kids. My brother left in August for basic training,he just graduated & i went to south carolina to see him. then he came home for like a day & he had to leave for Missouri for 8 weeks I miss him a ton because he is my only big brother,but I support what him & all the other guys & gals are doing for our country

This reminds me of my older brother. A couple years ago, he was sent to a school where bad kids go. I missed him so much. We'd send letters to eachother and I saw on one of my school folders I worte that I love him. The first time I saw him at the school he started bawling and so did I. I never saw him do that before, and in that moment I knew he truly loved me. He's now 20, and he's the most amazing brother EVER! I love him so much, and I know that he'll always be there for me.

my whole family has done something to do with the military. My grandpa's both took part in the army, my first cousins, and my dad. My dads been deployed many times. Til now, he's not back and left Christmas morning 2010. No matter how many times he leaves, I will still miss him the same way i did when i was 5.

I know what its like my brother and sister are both in the air forse and when they went in i was 6 with my mom having cancer and my dad driving truck i was left to take care of mom untill dad got home. I miss them every day.
