- Dorothy Loudon discusses her brief sitcom "Dorothy," chats with Zsa Zsa Gabor and sings "Hard Hearted Hannah" in this 1979 TV interview. (The brief audio drop-out during her song is in the original tape.)
Love Dorothy... Such a brilliant and wonderful performer. Also, her little look after "drink" was a bit telling, but then again we all have demons to fight.
WOW. Thoroughly enjoyed. One of Dorothy's best performances.
Yet another gem!! Love her!! Thanks for all the great continued posts.
The one and only Dorothy no one could ever replace her talent🎉❤
back when people actually had opinions on talk shows and talked about things other than happy moments and it was free form. It's so odd to see it actually as I wasn't old enough to watch late night tv until the late 90's when I was a teenager but that form of late night talk was mostly gone or on the way out by then. So interesting to watch. and Dorothy's candor about small children in show business was really interesting.
Here is one instance of an all-time trouper "getting into the groove" in two shakes of a little lamb's tail." Dorothy rises (literally) to take the stage and brings in a knock-em-dead performance. The show biz transformation is right there for us all to enjoy.
How funny that Dorothy went on to star in Sweeney Todd not long after.
Hysterical lady...
Oh, Merv, could you shut up for a minute and let her speak!
Zsa Zsa you should have stayed .Girl you were so WRONG ........(shocked she walked out )
Zsa Zsa wasn’t the brightest bulb. Can’t see her appreciating the brilliance of Sweeney Todd.
Sweeney Todd is a great musical
Irony; Loudon took over Mrs Lovett from Lansbury. Did she see it before she did it?
