I've seen her do this version probably 35 times and never tire of it! What a woman - we loved her so. She not only "acted" the song brilliantly, but she was "in" it! You can feel it and see it on her expressions!
Just Beautiful, and well, true. The heart wants what the heart wants. And Dorothy Loudon? What a talent. What a pro. She does this song, I cry. Thank you.
Yes! This song is soo true. I met the Love of My Life 2 1/2 years ago. We're both in our sixties, and don't want marriage or 24-7. We've been there, done that, and don't want to ruin our terrific relationship with too much togetherness and same old, same old. Seeing each other once a week or so is like being on a perpetual first date! We both have families, jobs, and very fulfilling lives apart from each other. 50 Percent works wonderfully well for us.
Perfect shades of a desperate woman trying to rationalize in order to believe that whatever crumbs this man shows her is somehow special when your actually a dirty secret. This character would rather have 50 percent of him rather than have 100 percent of herself. Tragic.
