The average human is beset by sufferings and tragedy from all sides. To overcome this, we hold tightly onto our misidentifications, prejudices, and tribal thinking. For someone pursuing spiritual growth, at each stage of their progress, different help may be needed. It is not that the same deity cannot give you different forms of help and guidance, but that we from our limited capacity of understanding and awareness, are not usually capable of receiving said help if coming from a source we don't expect. Can a masculine deity love you like a mother? I'd say yes, but are you capable of being His child? if not, and if it is a mother's love that you need at the moment, then better reach out to a feminine deity in the form of a mother, that is all. In Dharmik path we believe in a divinity-rich existence. There is no greater enemy other than one's own ignorance.
WOW I'm new to hinduism...and I thought I was silly for trying to guess who someone's ishta was. I've even made a few friends online who I've guessed correctly.
@@kaarthikkm5185 we can have many deities and infinite solar systems and infinite universes, but there's only one energy that drives it all - that one energy manifests in many forms. This literally is the essence of sanatan dharma.

Guess mine 😅
So beautifully explained. 🙏
Is it true that a white westerner who wants to convert to sanātana dharma should start with just worshiping Ganesha?
All deities are not one and the same.
That contradicts the very notion of sanatan dharma 🤷🏻
There is only one Paramatma but several manifestations of the consciousness in different forms called as deities. You have to understand this truth.
@@adithyaks8584 thank you bro for validating my statement by saying "in different forms". That itself proves all deities are not the same.
@@TheHinduRakshak how come bro? We believe in both Dvaita and Advaita philosophies. Do you think there exists only one solar system or one universe?
