Durga Saptashati, or Sri Sri Chandi per se, is not just a scripture on the victory of good over evil, I mean to call it so would merely be a child’s play. But Chandi is pure, pure and pure meditation. The three Charitras relate to the three Granthis in our body, to kill Madhu Kaitabha is to rise above the Brahma Granthi (or Tamasic ego, which means to tolerate no one’s existence apart from you yourself). The second Charitra is to rise above Vishnu Granthi which is done by Devi as Mahishasuramardini (slaying the Rajasic ego, which means that you want everybody to exist but only under your rule). The third and the last Charitra is to rise above the Rudra Granthi and attain Nirvana. This segment talks about how Devi as Mahasaraswati Kaushiki wipes away Satwik Ego, which means that everybody has and can have a free will, but if I want something, I will get it at any cost, and that’s what Shumbha and Nishumbha did. What I have written is a very basic kind of thing. It has a LOTTT more to it.

There are six parts of Durga Saptashati without which you cannot get any full benefit of it whether Material or Spiritual. These are called "shadanga" meaning "six parts". These are very Integral parts of Saptashati.
    These parts are -
    Devi Kavach
    Argala Stotram
    Keelak stotram
    Pradhanik Rahasya
    Vaikratik Rahasya
    Murti Rahasya.
Out of these, three ( kavach argala and keelak) are to be read in the beginning of the Parayana and the other three ( Pradhanik Vaikratik and Murti Rahasya) are to be read in the end.
    Jai Maa 🙏🙏

I listen to it regularly. I like the Swagatlakshmi version as the Sampoorna Chandi Path. It's also termed the Durga Mahatmyam. It's good to familiarise yourself with the words by constant listening. Then listen to another version, lets say a southern India vedic method of chant. Then get a book version and listen and read a selected hymn or chapter.
It contains many hymns which can stand independently eg:
    Ratri suktam,
Devi Suktam (Jitender Singh version, Isha Music, is really good)
    Narayani Stuti
    Argala Stotram
    Devi Kavacham
You can also download pdf versions to help you with the text and to start seeing the words and to start breaking them down to make them understandable.
I did the same with the Lalita Sahasranama. A gift from the mother herself through Vishnu as Hayagreiva to Rishi Agastya for us all.

I enjoyed this a lot. So many people are made to believe that you need to be initiated in certain rites to be able to read this text and chant it’s mantras but it’s simply not true.. at all.. and I loved how this woman totally recommended reading it. It’s transformational. She does have a very strange interpretation though. She said Adi Lakshmi.. I think she meant Adi SHAKTI, otherwise it would be a vaishnavi text. Adi Shakti in the form of Parvati was who saves the world, transforming into to Durga then all the other forms of Devi. I find it also strange how she fails to mention Kali killing RAKTABIJA? I get that this clip was short but uhhhh.. really big part was missed. The Devi Mahatmyam starts with Kali Dhyanam and then in the ending of the book the battle is won with the Kali defeating Raktabija. Nevertheless, I loved this video and enjoyed seeing Devi Ma get the recognition she deserves. In my opinion The Devi Mahatmyam is all about Ma Kali’s glory, how she is so beyond our comprehension in her true form but she’s our loving mother, and manifests her essence in minimizations such as Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga, Parvati. The Devi Mahatmyam is so powerful. One thing she should of mentioned however is that the mantras are so powerful that if one uses them for purposes that serve their ego/to profit, their soul gets damned to hell because of all of the curses that Rishis have put on it to deter misuse of it’s powerful mantras. I also liked how she mentioned how much energy it takes chanting this text. Oh my god, she’s not kidding. Try chanting the Devi Kavach and let me know how you feel afterwards if you don’t believe me 😂

There are 2 versions of every Mantra,Strotra, Path, Sukta etc, one for general public (for those without technical knowledge of Sanskrit, Tantra etc)
And one for 1% people, who explore and discover the other dimensions of the same mantra, strotra and path.
These 1% people are the one who truly connect to Deities as they know the technique as only Bhakti is not enough because if it would be millions of people would have connected and invoked the deities or devatas.
For example, Millions read Durga saptshti, talk and explain about it and they also considered "expert", but even these expert don't know the depth of these texts,
As this Durga saptshti more correctly Chandi path also has a secret and more complex version that 99% of Hindus don't know and the 1% who know are blessed.
As only through this one can truly invoke and summon Goddess Adi shakti (and her forms Durga, Chandi, Chamunda, Mahalakshmi etc.)
I read that secret version especially on all 4 Navratri (including 2 Gupta Navratri), and yes it takes 1.5 - 2 hrs reading it completely.
Along with secret version of navarna Mantra with secret technique and I everyday feel immense sensation and strain on my Agya Chakra (3rd eye region) that indicates response from the Goddess as she is in the form of Divine frequency and energy.
I sometimes laugh as how can these people are termed "expert" when they are not even know about the depth of this ancient wisdom.

@@fearlesshindu9916 I'm not fooling or selling anything to anyone as what I have discovered is known to a very few, not only in context of Durga saptshti but every other strotram and Mantra, as these secret techniques are not taught to general public.
Lastly, I'm absolutely confident that I'm an expert in context of what I have learnt, studied, explored and practicing myself everyday in most modern practical way as mentioned in ancient texts.
Now I challenge you, below I'm listing some of the texts from vast collection of texts that I have studied,

Her explanation on the story is wrong may be just a mistake let me correct it .
So first shakthi is formless so she is aadishakthi takes a form .
    Her light becomes mahalakshmi .
    Her knowledge became mahasaraswathi.
    Her body became mahakali .
From mahalakshmi was born bramha and Lakshmi .
From mahasaraswathi was born rudra and saraswathi .
From mahakali was born Vishnu and kalika.
This is the reason why Vishnu is called brother of Devi kalika AKA parvathi .
Bramha is brother of Lakshmi .
And Shiva 😂😂😂 people will start saying I am wrong saraswathi ashtothara shathanamavali says "shiva anuja pusthakabrith gnana mudra rama para"so getting my point .
    Vishnu married Lakshmi .
    Shiva married kalika.
    Bramha married saraswathi .
    No incest took place .

The Chapters of Durga Saptashati or Chandi path are divided into sections called "Charitra" which narrate about the divine pastimes of The Universal Mother in the form of Dashabhuja Mahakali, Ashtadashabhuja Mahalakshmi and Ashtabhuja Mahasaraswati. These are called Pratham Madhyam and Uttar Charitra.Pratham Charitra includes The first Chapter only. Madhyam Charitra includes Chapters two to four and finally the Uttar Charitra includes Chapters five to thirteenth. There are various patterns to read all the three Charitra which are in different tantra granths but if one wants to read only one Charitra that's also okay. And before reading any Charitra it's essential to read the Siddh kunjika stotra as it energizes the mantras of those chapters in the Charitra.
