And i hope you feel better soon. As i listened to your commentary it made me realize just how harsh our own voices can be. So not only have a i found a mentor whose work i love but you inadvertently cemented into my brain what others have said.. to quit being so critical of myself. Here you were creating a really beautiful piece and you didn't seem to like it. You're an amazing artist! Thank you for the lessons
Lorrie, you make this look so easy! Your work is stunning! I tried my first piece and it was much harder than I expected and so far I’m only good at buying supplies. 😉 But I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. I think I put down too much ink and I can’t wait to try again. Thank you for your wonderful commentary. I’m already a huge fan of yours!
Beautiful piece of art. You do make it look easy. I work with resin so I have a bunch of inks. Thought I'd give it a try and mine came out looking like a hot mess. Lol I may try again.
Don’t quit after your first try! It generally takes most of people, myself included, many tries to get something you are even a little bit happy with when you are first starting out.
I'm just beginning ink art and know next to nothing about the art but i know what i like. This is one of my favorite pieces I've seen on YT. I love the colors and the composition and would buy it if i saw it somewhere. Love this piece!
I've been watching this ink panting. I've also been watching glass blowing. But just maybe introducing blow tube to blow your inks around. And they are cheap so if they don't work lose a couple of bucks.
I just discovered you! I love your work!! I am going to make my way thru all your videos this year and try to paint with you. Does any of your videos talk about how to help the pinata brass float and not sinking and sticking to paper? Looking forward to seeing them all!! 💜
When you’ve transferred your copper, brass or gold from jacquard bottles does it make a huge difference not having the ball in there to mix up up - I bought the exciter pack thinking I’d have enough to make cool art on yupo but after watching Tim’s channel it seems I did no research at all. I have blending solution and 99% isopropyl but there’s LOADS more to it than I ever imagined 🤔
Your art is beautiful but I don’t understand your mindset. Are you trying to get the ink spread out at first then concentrate it back towards the center or an area leaving a more wistful ethereal section towards the outside? I would love to hear your thought process as you’re creating your stunning pieces.
Wonderful! What is that technique called that you’re using with your blower? It’s like you’re pushing and pulling the ink. What would you say you were trying to accomplish? I’ve just never seen the blower used in this way.
I had the Ranger color turquoise laid out, but ended up not using it so I didn’t list it in the description. I mentioned why in the video, but forgot to mention it in the description. Sorry about that!
Thank you! If you are doing fine with what you are using, then I don't see any reason to change. I use the cool setting on my hairdryer, although it tends to blow a little towards the warm side. If the air is too hot it can warp the synthetic papers that I use and it tends to dry the ink more quickly than I like. Just use whatever works best for you 😊
Beautiful! I really like those colors. I’m going to give it another try with my dryer tool. I almost got rid of it because I didn’t know how to use it but you’ve helped. I also wanted to say your voice reminds me of another person I used to watch on RUclips. Of course she’s been removed because their content didn’t fit the current narrative these days :). They now have their own website. But you sound like just like Katie.
Thank you! If you haven't watch video 19 or 50 yet, you might want to give one, or both, a look. They are more f.a.q. videos where I don't do an actual painting, but I try to go into detail about controlling the inks with a dryer like I use and do some demonstrating on it. It just takes some practice and lots of patience to get the hang of lol.
Lol Hope you went back to order some alcohol. It’s rather important for this lol. Remember to be patient with yourself as you get started. It can be harder that it looks to learn to control the inks when you are first starting out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do once you get started!
I use a 500 watt Revlon styling brush dryer with the brush attachment removed. Here is the Amazon link if you want to see the exact one I have amzn.to/3Rn2ABH Hope this helps!
Please speak when the machine is OFF. It's very difficult to hear what you say with the machine on. And I don't want to miss a single word you'r saying! You make so beautiful paintings! I want to learn everything you do or say.
I either just mat and frame them after sealing, or attach them to a wood panel and resin them. Some I just do with a mat and no frame. If I’m selling it, it depends on what the buyer wants sometimes. Otherwise, I just do whichever I think will look the best with that particular painting.
Absolutely! You need a bulb like she’s using to move the inks if you want the same look though. A dryer doesn’t give you the same effect. You can do a flower a with a hairdryer, but it will have more rounded petals than what the bulb or an airbrush makes. You won’t get that slightly spiky, ruffled look to the edges with the hairdryer.
Lorrie! I can’t get to you and message on Facebook or instagram. My keyboard won’t come up. I want to ask you something but it isn’t appropriate on this platform.
Hello, 💕I’ve stopped watching something else when I saw your post pop up. I’m so excited, you’re my priority💐
That's the best compliment I could get! Thank you, sweet friend!

Looks good, cool technique

Love this! Newbie here, waiting for supplies, this is so great to watch for learning how to. Thank you.😊
I may have to look into a hair dryer brush tool thingy. I usually use a air brush and a rocket air blaster/duster.
Beautiful color combination Lorrie love it 😍
Beautiful

Very nice. You might not feel 'pimpante', but your work is wonderful. Ingrid from Rome Italy
Thank you very much! That is very nice of you to say! 😊

I think you forgot to list turquoise in your description above. Looking Gorgeous'
I had the Ranger color turquoise laid out, but ended up not using it so I didn’t list it in the description. I mentioned why in the video, but forgot to mention it in the description. Sorry about that!
@@LorrieBrewer Sorry could you repeat why you didn't use it?
Love your work, I use a spray gun, do you think warmer air would work better??

Love glue, tapes good too

Do you seal your work?
What is the name f the blow dryer you are using please? Alene. Sept 10, 10:40 pm

Did I ask this? Will I be able to do this type of pic with the Revlon dryer? Harmony House # 588
Your amazon links go to inactive products for varnish/UV protection!
How do you mount your paintings to sell or gift to someone?
I either just mat and frame them after sealing, or attach them to a wood panel and resin them. Some I just do with a mat and no frame. If I’m selling it, it depends on what the buyer wants sometimes. Otherwise, I just do whichever I think will look the best with that particular painting.
Actual tutorial begins at 5.00.
I’m sorry Lorrie I don’t know what is going on. Here is the question. CanI try something like video 588 Harmony House Art

Lots of time consuming
It is time consuming, but it's definitely worth it! 😊
Why didn't you wait until you felt better. Your wining is turning off of you... Your suppose to be teaching 😢
