I have never seen a rug made with the beautiful material like you have in your rug! You are blessed to get this rug and the cost barely pays for the warp thread. I used to make rag rugs and hope to make them again.
There's definitely some pretty pieces in there! I always wash my fabric first no matter where I get it from! I have a zipper laundry bag that works great for it. Thanks for sharing and hope you have an amazing day!
I have not order from Temu, but know several people who have and like what they get. Two things stop me- 1st is security. I have heard issues with stolen card info. 2nd is I don’t like supporting China, but I know a lot of item the USA uses are from there. I figure if I at least buy from a store I am supporting an American job🤷🏻♀️ Always good to see a video from you. Blessings
Hi Lynn, I have taken one of these rugs apart!! Wow it really tested my carpal tunnel strength!! I may try another from 5 & below! Have a great week!! 😍🤩
It’s relaxing watching you take apart this rug! I used to have Temu app on my iPad. I did place one order. Took about 3-4 weeks to receive it from China. Quality was just so-so but what do you expect for such cheap prices. Shipping alone probably cost more than products. Barry, retired govt worker, told me to remove the app from my device and not to order anymore….thats what I did. Something for you to think about!
Hey Kim! Thank you so much! I think I have seen more videos and more articles leaning towards that type of sentiment regarding Temu. Something has made me not respond, and I already have so much going on, I just feel like it’s not for me. Thank you so so much! Tell Santa hello!😂😂❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynne, I am responding to your question about TEMU, I am torn as well. I do admit I have ordered from them because their prices are so good and to be honest quality is pretty good on most things. I have heard the dilemma from both sides. I do know I have seen the same exact merchandise at Five Below stores, so I am not sure what the difference between buying it from Five Below or TEMU? I LOVE watching you take apart that rug and am trying desperately not to go to Five Below & buy one!! 😂
Lynn. I understand the controversy about Temu. But most of the stuff we buy in the US is made in china anyway. I order all the time because it’s affordable for me. I do read all the reviews and take into account what it’s made of. If I can buy a $12.00 stamp for &1.48 on Temu then I’m going to. It takes 2 weeks to deliver but it’s worth the wait. And if they’re late you get an instant $5.00 credit. I love them.
These pieces fabric would be great to hang as a summer boho curtain in a bathroom, bedroom, or kitchen window in the summer breeze through an opened window..
Sorry, I have another comment about Temu. I have heard a lot of art supply designers complain because Temu is blatantly stealing their designs and undercutting what the items sell for here in the states. To me, that is just downright stealing.
I personally think it’s wrong to shop there for many reasons but lots of people seem to be able to rationalize shopping there. Temu is selling stolen designs from several in the craft world, I believe Tim Holtz has been a victim there just like he has been on Aliexpress. Luise Heinzl has a RUclips video about her digitals being stolen but I don’t know if it was through Temu. This company’s sister company is not good, there are RUclips videos about that. Lots of people have had their payment information stolen & people say to avoid that go through PayPal, why would you support them & shop there if you have to jump through hoops not have have your information stolen?
Lynn watching this video makes me so excited to start cutting apart my rug. I can tell it has some beautiful fabrics with sequins and gold threads. I was also approached by Temu to be an influencer for them. I was torn, however, watching the news and seeing how China is deliberately trying to wreck our economy by starting the Brics currency with most of the U.S.'s enemies, I said no thank you. If you order from U.S. companies and some of their products are made in China, at least someone in the U.S. is benefitting from them. Temu claims to be a U.S. company because they have some warehouses here, but I don't consider them to be. Mostly I, and a lot of us in our little RUclips community, cherish finding second hand goods when we can and recycling items. Maybe we should all try to swap supplies with each other on a local level instead of buying new anyway. Sorry for the ramble. 😊😊🩷😊😊
The fabrics you are harvesting are really beautiful!
Wow! Lots of pretty fabrics in this one!

Your going to have a ton of beautiful fabric 😊❤
I had breakfast with you via video! Watching you take this rug apart was oddly satisfying. Loved it.
Love Calico beans

Taking apart these rugs is a thing I'm hearing about.

It was so fun meeting you in person. You and Jason are ADORABLE! What in the world are you going to do with all this fabric?

I would love doing this....but I bet I would start ironing the material flat before I finished the whole rug.

I would throw them all in the washing machine before I ironed them.

I feel that. Thank you so much! ❤️
Temu wants to use you to advertise for them? You don't want to be associated with rumors of them stealing info from customers. NO !!
