Thank you for watching. Art journals can be kind of expensive, so this is a cheaper way to make one. ;)

I have paints and inks and all kinds of toys to pull out and use up! The one thing a pandemic can do is make you feel like you really don’t have a whole lot of time after all. Let the masses argue and debate vaccines and face masks. I can do THIS! Thank you for sharing this❤️

I'm treating myself to art journaling today, its my bday...but when I heard this song it knocked me off my feet...This was supposed to play when we were going to redo our vows...but fate dealt us a crappy hand...I lost him last year...I miss him so much...btw i love this project...its beautiful

do you find the inks will rub off on your hands when dry? if so do you use a fixative to prevent that?
I don’t seem to have that problem. If the page was to get wet again, then the ink might reactive. I don’t use fixative but you definitely could if you wanted.

Your video popped up in my feed…kind of shocked you’d use a Somerset magazine…I treasure them, but appreciate your tutorial, all the same.

Love the idea but I hate cutting up my Somerset Studio magazine. Can you tell me what issue and year the one you are working with? tfs
You can use any magazine that you'd like, not just Somerset. ;) The thicker the paper the better. But I don't know when this issue is from. I did this back in 2018. Cant rmemeber that far back. lol Thanks for watching!
I'm just curious, would it not be easier to use a large guillotine cutter to cut the magazine in half? I'm not sure if I'd have the strength to use the box cutter to do this. But I definitely like the idea of the smaller landscape size for an art journal. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Yes, you could use a guillotine cutter. The only problem might be the spine. It's difficult to cut and it might really dull the guillotine blade. Thanks for watching!

I love the idea, fantastic, but I would still incorporate my own personal items I have done thru Art , journals are a personal item filled with your own expressions
Yes, you would then use it as a substraight, like an empty journal to add to it whatever you want.
how do you clean your brayer?
I just run it on another piece of paper or wipe it off with a wipe or paper towel. I'll also wash it with soap and water when it gets really caked full of paint.
I don't have all these stuff
Start collecting. I don't think any of us bought our supplies all at once.
