Just got done reading an article about the Kirkland Signature 10 and writer said for all intents and purposes, it is the very same as the Phonak Paradise 90, a super premium highly advanced hearing aid with speech clarity and many features. I also found a retail listing of the Phonak Paradise showing one (1) hearing aid costing $2399 each, which would make the Kirkland one heck of a deal at Costco price of $1399 for a pair (2)

What is predicted battery lifespan? When the non-removable battery will sop charging, you will have to toss the entire hearing aid.

Just got mine today. Have used hearing aid for around 9 years. These are my 3rd set (1st from Costco) and they are 'Next Level' in every way. The whole process was great from initial test to fitting, very personalised.

So impressed I got a Costco membership so I could get a hearing test. I have severe hearing loss and I ordered the Kirkland Signature 10.0T (Receiver In Canal) RIC and have a fitting schedule next week. Thank you for the video !! Even an old family friend, an Audiologist from home had great things to say about Sonova made Kirkland Signature 10.0T.

I recently purchased a pair of Costco hearing aids. After about three weeks of wearing them, they are as good as advertised! The support is excellent! Next week I'll be returning for my second follow- up appointment to insure that everything is working to my satisfaction and to change the filter for the first time. BTW, I don't believe the "touch your ear" is still available. All you have to though to receive and disconnect calls is to tap on the lower button on the hearing aid. And BTW I have NOT been compensated for this endorsement. 🙂

I have had mine for about a month now. They are my first hearing aids but so far I really like them. I am definitely hearing better. I was hoping to hear better in restaurants than I am, but maybe that will need a fine tuning. The only thing I am not happy about is that if you change something using the iPhone app and you then put the phone to sleep and put it in your pocket the hearing aids go right back to Automatic mode immediately. You have to leave the app open for the changes to stay in affect. Also not too happy with the Costco service. The guy that helped me is a total jerk. I will go to another Costco nearby from now on.

Are the Kirkland Signature 10.0, made by Sonova, a "In The Canal" aka (In The Ear) hearing aid or a BTE? If ITC, how well do they work compared to OTE style? Can they give good high frequency response for higher frequency loss?

My right ear is worse than the left, and hearing higher Hz sounds about 3000 Hz to 4500 Hz is pretty much non existent with my hearing. My left ear, which is better also starts to fall off around 4000 Hz. right now I'm trying a $239 (Amazon) pair of MaiHear digital hearing aid that are re-chargable (20 hrs of use) and have 4 programs. normal, Noisy background, TV, and Outdoors. They are the OTE type with slim tubes. A bit short for me, but this is only the 3rd day since I have worn them. I can hear birds chirping that I have not heard before and our pet Finch "chirps" and i thought it was the hearing aid, and my wife told me, no, it's the bird. Never heard him before. Speech sound more distinctive to me now. So wondering if going to a hearing aid, like the Kirkland Signature 10 for about $1160 more would be worth that much extra? In other words, would I get 6 times the hearing with the Kirkland as these cheaper digital hearing aids/ Are the Kirkland programmable so that they help with hearing more of the higher frequencies?

    • @ProFitHearing

Here's a video on the difference between amplifiers and hearing aids. ruclips.net/video/ifBKOomw8SY/видео.html. The Costco Kirkland Signature 10 should sound significantly better since it would be custom-tuned (programmed) to your hearing test results. I like that Costco offers premium hearing aids for a low price. Although they are not exactly the same in detail as the premium Phonak Paradise P90, for example, they are still much better than the Phonak, which sells it at a high price. In my country, hearing aids are very expensive, so I can only buy the basic technological level (p30 or p50) for the same money.
I would like Costco to allow online shopping with mail. that I could adjust my hearing aids to my own audiologist in my country or I would do it myself with the accompanying equipment because I consider myself a technology enthusiast ready to learn new things.
I would beg Costco to consider selling them online by mail to other countries.

    • @Jddvs

Costco requires that hearing diagnosis and fitting is done in house and will not sell hearing aids on line. Of course, you probably already are aware of this. Many of the hearing clinics here charge many thousands of dollars more for the same technology level hearing aids as the Costco K9-T. If that is the case in your country, it might be reasonable to schedule a visit to the U.S.A. While here, make an appointment with Costco to get your hearing aids for $1,399.00.

Are these better than the new Phillips that Costco offers?

    • @markom8167
      @markom8167 3 года назад +2

Philips hearing aids products "Demant group" the same group produces Oticon, Sonic, Bernafon. So Philips doesn’t necessarily have to be better, it doesn’t necessarily have to be bad either. Because each brand has its advantages and disadvantages, and it is about the taste of the person who wears hearing aids. Someone prefers the sound of Oticon, someone prefers the sound of Phonak. There are people who can't get used to it or don't like the sound that Phonak has but they like the sound of Oticon / Philips.
It is up to you to try and decide for yourself what suits you best. But I must mention to you, in order to choose, it takes time for the brain to get used to the new sound, for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Note - these K10 are sold only as RIC (Receiver in the canal), not sold bte (Behin in the ear), a version that has tubes, and which is more intended for severe hearing impairment. Before buying, it is definitely a good idea to talk to an audiologist to tell you which hearing aid is suitable for your hearing impairment.

need something for a person in hospice care in a nursing home, with a landline phone and a TV that can't be connected to anything else. No iphone or android, totally analog environment--and is there any special pricing for someone on medicare and medicaid? Medicaid only allows recipients to retain $60/month in income--the rest goes to pay the nursing home, and that's after they've depleted all assets.

    • @ProFitHearing

Please contact Costco directly to inquire about any possible pricing options. Your local audiologist can make specific recommendations for their hearing loss. Generally, an in-the-ear hearing aid that's automatic may be easier to use. There is also the option of using a personal sound amplifier like the Comfort Duett that's not customized to an individual's hearing thresholds but can provide significant benefit. I just replaced my Rexton Ligato Li with these. The sound quality is MUCH worse. Just a ton of white noise. While I appreciate the bells and whistles of being able to use them with my iPhone, the app is terrible. The settings don’t save even while you are in the app, so using your phone when you are out and about you will experience a sudden change in your hearing aid volume. Simply put, a waste of money. My old Rextons without the Bluetooth were much better quality than this. Of course they were also $400 more but well worth the price difference. These are serious garbage.
