I love the end result every time but, I can't help but shake my head like "oh man he's doing it again" Good show lad. Thanks for the builder ASMR

Wow man. When I saw you sawing off wheelcovers, I thought "oh, a custom one, cool", when I saw you actually creating them, I thought "Wow, that's a thorough build"... and then he started carving ignition key...😮😮😮

The Tamiya Lotus (Caterham Super 7) is a completely different model and most importantly, it is 1:12 scale - twice the size of your 1:24 model. It also has a great bit more detail in it, not just the diecast frame, suspension and aluminum plate body sections. Fully functioning metal suspension and even tiny removable lug nuts on the wheels. I know this as I have built two versions that were made - the standard full fender and the cycle fender special. They were $400 kits when released, a tad more than your 1:24. I will say that you did an excellent job with what you had to work with - very nice work fabricating the aluminum body portions!
@@kenji-plasticmodels - Each to his own. That's why they make different sizes (scale) models of varying complexity, to appeal to a wide assortment of customers. As a kid, I built dozens of model cars in 1:24 and 1:18 scale. I got so I didn't need the directions as there were not that many parts and I recognized virtually all of them and knew where they belonged. That is when I decided to build larger models with many more parts, so that I would be challenged a bit in building them. A typical 1:24 scale model car back then - 1950s - had maybe 25-30 parts, if that. They became boring to build. In 1972, I discovered Pocher models which were 1:8 scale and had many metal parts and were assembled with machine screws with very little gluing required. The nicest one I built took me just over a year to complete and had 2,364 parts to it! You had to upholster the seats and doors and sew the fabric convertible top. I had my wife sew the top! I'm 74 now and still building model cars and I very much enjoy the larger ones with far more detail than any smaller ones can provide. They look far more real than the little ones and that has remained my biggest desire.

Hi Brian. Thank you very much.
This Super Seven was very difficult because the original parts were handmade with aluminum 😊
