I'm brand new to laser engraving and just picked up a 40w CNC Fiber Laser myself. Using factory settings I can engrave any of those black laser cards for sale on Amazon fine but on any other metals - nearly nothing! What could I be doing wrong? I've looked for a depth setting in EzCad which it came with and didn't find anything, I tried all different random MhZ and power settings and still no change. I can see a very slight marking if I set it to loop 10x for instance but not much beyond that yet the manufacturer shows it cutting deep into firearm slides and such. Of course out of China I'm getting no support so just wondered if any of you experienced engravers might know what I'm doing wrong?
fiber laser marking machine is good at marking on the surface of metal. If you want to deep marking, you need repeat marking many times. Yes, some customer use 50w to cut thin metal, such as 0.1-0.8mm silver or gold by repeat many times working.
I have 30w machine, when i am engraving on copper electrode with 100 speed 100 power, laser is not engarving stamp, but with same power speed i am engraving on m2 material it is engraving...plz suggest

fiber laser marking machine is suitable for marking , if cut, you need mark repeatly. It could cut near 0.5mm 0.8mm by repeat marking.
