  • You're gonna have to hold off on killing any enemy units as there's simply no way to kill 10% of Hawke's forces in a turn without them stacking. They're too far spread out, so avoid fully killing any units until you can get full power.
    Just get a lander + rockets/MD tanks or a battleship down to the bottom to destroy the cannons.

    This video really helped me. I didn't know that the power requeriment only count for the main character. I used to kill many of units with Kanbei but the rank, at the end of the mission, was B.

    This mission is haardd.
    Was sweeping s rank lefg and right in the other countries. But in green earth the difficulty ramps up a lot

      @Kerrfuffle 3 года назад +2

      Green Earth on normal difficulty was weird actually, specifically the first 3 missions. Based on their difficulty ratings, it's Jess > Drake > Eagle but I found it to be the complete opposite. Eagle took me 3 tries, Drake was really easy to beat but the fight doesn't last long enough for an S rank and Jess was really easy because of how good she is.
      On hard difficulty however, Eagle was a lot easier, Drake was the exact same but I got a B cause I skipped destroying artillery units, and I haven't started Jess yet. Her mission has a 9* rating but I'm somehow not worried at all.
      Also let's not forget Navy vs. Air where Drake demolishes Hawke without losing a single unit, and still scoring an A..

      @@Kerrfuffle When I hit Green Earth in my run, Navy Vs Air was an easy S rank. I destroyed all six of Hawke's choppers on turn two, rushed the bases in the middle, and completely suffocated Hawke's income. I basically wiped out his units as they tried to cross the bridge like 3 times over, using Battleships (because the mission just gives you income to waste) before I pushed for an HQ cap.

  • @xHeigoux

    man, I only got like 40 power ranking and then I reloaded and destroyed the last cannon with kanbei for that s rank and got b rank again. this mission sucks for getting a high rank...
    correction: as it turns out it's actually pretty easy as long as you know what you are doing and how the power rank is calculated.

    This mission's so tricky because of the power requirement. Thanks for the tip about stacking. What do you check in the status though? Does it help indicate the Power score?

    • @Rzaney
      @Rzaney  5 лет назад +5

      Usually, it's to see how many units I've created so I know how many I can afford to lose (1/5th of what you've built in campaign, 1/10th in war room), but also to see how many units Hawke has built, so I know how many I have to kill in a single turn for a 100 power score (I might make a video explaining the game mechanics later). Checking how many funds you'll get in a turn can let you plan ahead as well.
      Often it's just a habit when I'm thinking about what to do!

    • @Rzaney

      Your English is fine! Just keep working at it and it'll get better!
      As for CO powers, in AW2 every CO *star* is equivalent to 9000 funds of damage taken (the same as a B-copter costs!). Damage you do to an enemy unit, however, is only half as effective! This means that if you lost 4 B-Copters, and did no damage in return, you'd have 4 CO stars filled up, but if you destroyed 4 B-Copters and took no damage in return, you'd only have 2 stars filled up (and they'd get 4, assuming they're not already at max CO meter, of course!). Big stars have the same value as little stars, they're only their to show when you can COP versus SCOP!
      Damage from Missile Silos, Cannons, Lasers, Deathrays, or COPs don't increase your CO meter, which means you won't get any CO meter from Hawke/Drake/Sturm/Olafs [S]COPs against you. Along the same lines, any damage you receive/take DURING YOUR OWN COP (your turn of using it, and the opponents turn after when you still have it's effects), will not increase your meter, but will still increase your opponents meter if they didn't use their own COP!
      For this level, that means you want Hawke to damage your units so he only gets half CO meter for the damage, and you get full, allowing you to get your SCOP faster than him, which lets you get your 5/6 unit power turn in since your Bships can now one shot most of his units after your SCOP lowers them to 8 hp.
      Now, where it gets tricky is once you use your COP or SCOP, the cost of each star increases by 2000, so after using your SCOP for the first time, every star is now 11000 funds! After using it again, 13000 funds, and so on.
      Bonus fact: if you use your COP instead of your SCOP when you have it, you actually lose about 1/3rd of your remaining COP after the subtraction. For Andy, you go from 6 - 3(from COP) = 3 * (2/3) = 2 stars remaining on your next turn. Sami goes from 8 - 3(from COP) = 5* (2/3) = 3.6666~ stars on her next turn, so you can COP twice in a row with her instead of using your SCOP if you want to!

    so, in this level, for the power score, do the units you kill with Drake and Kanbei count as being in the same turn?

    • @Rzaney
      @Rzaney  4 года назад

      Sorry for the late reply, I don't use the channel much anymore. As far as I know, in multi-CO missions for the first 4 areas, it's whichever the main army you're in that needs their power score maxed out, so in this case, Drake (you can do both just to be sure), but for the last 2 missions in Black Hole territory, it's whichever army you WIN with that counts.
      Hope that helped!

    This mission lacks game design whatsoever. It's not even hard, it's just annoying.

    • @Rzaney
      @Rzaney  3 года назад

      True. There's a whole map to the top that never gets used full of units, and makes it hard to get your power turn in within the time limit. You kind of need to know where all the indirects are in order to safely get to the bottom!
