@decension My older sister is a doctor, my mom was a nurse, so is my MIL. They’d all disagree with your stupid opinion. Everyone should be an organ donor and it will in no way change your treatment. Furthermore they wouldn’t lose the heart if he died, your heart is viable after it stops beating… otherwise heart transplants wouldn’t be possible at all, ever.
Organ doner or not, it's kind of messed up to ask a guy to give their heart to someone who needs a new heart but also is the reason he's under that car and dying in the first place. I know it's a tv show and not based in real life but still.
@@bzh7648correct. That's called coercion and doctors can not influence a patients decision in any way other than inform them of information about procedures or otherwise. Also you can't ask someone who's still alive for a heart organ donor or not. If there's anything I missed I'll reply once I'm done watching
Ethan's emotionally compromised, he shouldn't have been allowed to make those calls. He's clearly trying to keep April alive above the patient's deteriorating condition.
They could have handed her the clamp when she first got under there, then tried to clap it with her free hand. If she got the clamp on she could climb out, if not then figure something else out. That was the first thing that came to mind, but I watched the whole thing and saw them use a clamp as soon as he was out. (Also I'm fully aware this is a show and they did all this to be dramatic)
this reminds me of the ep where a woman got trampled and the guy who did the prank that got her trampled got one of her organs when she died to keep him alive it was messed up he shouldn’t of got it tbh…

Well if they push it makes it more complicated for the victims to survive since his overly open. Even if there was a way out everyone who could move the car carefully ended up making it worse as the car was crushing him in the bottom
@@savedbygrace463 they had a whole damn fire department in there, the guys could have just lifted the car for the 10 seconds it would have taken to slide the guy out from underneath. "ooh there's jagged metal" he's probably losing his leg regardless, meanwhile he's literally bleeding out and will DIE if they don't get him on an operating table. this whole scene was infuriating.
I'd disagree. Goodwin should've been calling the shots (what else more important could have been taking her attention? ) And in that case, she would have made the same call. No one is objectively going to risk the life of their staff to save a patient. The staff will save dozens of lives in a week-- but not if they're dead, disabled, or on medical leave.
I know this is not an ideal situation but I do believe this is more of an ethics situation where I would not be comfortable taking a heart or an organ from the person just ran over. It is just the same my life. I think it would not be right to give my organ to the person that is the cause of me losing it.
Maybe but there are a lot of questions to this kind of scenario. Did the driver intend massive harm? If he had a heart attack this wasn’t his fault, unless he’d been told he may have one and warned not to drive. I’m not saying everyone should be alright with the scenario but sometimes an accident happens without fault or negligence, and doctors are charged to save those they can. Is it uncomfortable? Heck yes, and try to give the heart to someone who has a lot of life yet to live, but these guys don’t even know if the driver’s a match or if they need to send out the request for another donor in case he isn’t.
It was a rush for them to do it themselves because they aren’t professionals. When the firefights arrived, they needed to but a thing under the car to lift it and the guys leg was stuck by the wheel. They needed to get it unstuck and do a lot of other stuff with it. Even though it’s just a show, they probably *could’ve* lifted it earlier
There is no use of two people dying or her getting hurt. The reality is sometimes people die. When treating patients the doctors shouldn't be able to become patients themselves.

Leg was caught in the wheel shaft, lifting it would’ve made things worse, and because he was already losing a lot of blood, it wouldn’t work also even it would’ve made him lose a leg if the car was lifted.
How did that happen? Did someone tell that driver to do it or did he do it on purpose or accident? Or did he lose track of the road and how did that man get ran over?
Consensus of the comment seems to be the driver was having a heart attack and trying to drive himself to the hospital. And in case you don’t live in the USA the reason anyone would attempt something this insane here is because a ride in the wee-woo wagon costs upwards of $2k, and with an impending hospital stay that’s going to set you back even more, no thanks (and yes that’s even with insurance. Fun times over here).
Word of advice: *Don't ask if someone's an organ donor if they are actively dying*. Even if it might, your first job is still to SAVE THEM.
Better word of advice: don't sign up to be an organ donor, they are less likely to help save you since the hospitals get $$$ for the transplants

If they opened the trunk and got out the jack, they could have lifted the car's driver side frontend in two minutes.
