Boy riding in the dark without a helmet- not her fault. I love that the mother didn’t yell at her though.
Hello. how are you today? Thank you for letting me know you love me by liking and commenting on my RUclips fan pages. You are a lucky fan of this little platform. Thank you for your love and support. Taylor Kinney loves you dearly
Subway Surf you so much I love you so much hello hello hello
❤❤❤❤
she did yell at her
She did
I'm so happy that the mother of the injured boy didn't yell or scream at Miss Goodwin. She didn't look at her with hatred or disgust. Miss Goodwin was so kind to offer her a job for the benefit of her kids. This made me tear up quite thoroughly 🥺
That is the adecuate way to write (female) characters
Yes bro
She did at first. Didn't want to talk to her
@@naomiwatson8075 dang! Well at least it turned out ok in the end right? People always want someone to blame. Luckily it isn't that way all the time.
Did we watch the same clip???
Such an amazing actress, you could just feel the guilt in her voice and her shuddering breathe.
I was in a car collision a few months ago. Don't worry, I'm fine and I didn't hit anyone. But I remember being just like this afterwards
I was just thinking about the same thing, when I was watching it right now
You can tell the mom is just trying so hard to keep it together with all the things happening to her at the same time. She’s a working single mom, she has kids to think about, one of her kids is critically injured, she still has to look over her other child, and she needs to work so she can provide for them.
Poor Goodwin. But glad her people rallied to make sure she's OK, and so was the kid she hit. Since she was freaking out about it.
As happy an ending as one could hope for. The mom blames herself for not being there for her kids, but her son getting hit gave her the ability to shift that blame. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very good woman who was just as traumatized by this accident as her. This angered her b/c there was no justifiable way to shift blame anymore.
Fortunately, it WAS a good woman who hit him, & she’s helping now to make life easier for this family. So much pain, but it was all for the best in the end.
Also, after he’s no longer in the danger zone, a talk is in order. Riding at night w/o a helmet is a big ‘N’ ‘O’.
A helmet? He was hit at 35mph, they literally do nothing at those speeds, most sensible countries have agreed they do more than nothing, in the Netherlands riding without a helmet is the norm and they have the least fatalities for bikes per rider. With some of the highest per capita riders
@@Daeyae Please stop spreading false information without any source. The things you say literally could put people in danger. So be a little bit more responsible.
@@lostboy3080 oh and the usa has the most casualties with 900, and the average trip distance is 100m.
Helmets are so safe it's not like a cage that just rattles your brain around.
It’s more about a young child being out alone at night.
@@Daeyae ok smartass, we have people dying from slipping/falling when on a bike and hitting their head in such an unlucky way, they die or fall into a come. No helmet, of course.
I love how miss goodwin is worried but calm. I'm also happy that the mother of the injured boy did not yell and Miss goodwin.
We Stan Goodwin, protect her at all costs 🥹👏👏👏👏👏
yes we stan goodwin

And this is why I wear a helmet and have lights on my bike and check left and right before crossing cause I don’t wanna die
And if riding after twilight, also wear a hi-viz vest, or at least lightc-coloured clothing.
And good lights
Actually found out recently that 28% of bicyclist accidents happened because the cyclists failed to check their surroundings before taking a turn or alternative action other than straight. Reports from traffic light cameras and police reports in Britain.
A young boy biked into my mom's car at a stop light, we we stationary but she was still so shaken up. The little guy wasn't payed attention and From what I heard was looking back at his dad when he rode into the car. He Was absolutely fine no scratches no more to nothing but my mom was absolutely terrified at the thought of hurting the boy.
I feel so bad for this Goodwin
A pedestrian hit my husband's car. He was at a full stop in a parking lot, waiting for the woman to cross the «street». But she was on her pĥone and didn't cross in a straight line. She hit the hood the car. I would'nt have believe it, but I was on the passenger side, so I was an eye witness. Don't cross the street while looking at your phone, not even in a parking lot
No matter what this woman does she ALWAYS knows what’s right
How the mother assumed it was a drunk when she was leaving them alone smh
She was feeling guilty for leaving them alone and looking for someone else to blame
To be fair, it could have been a drunk, the 2 things are not mutually exclusive you know.
It's natural behavior for a traumatized parent. They're already under immense amounts of stress. They need to shift the blame to something else.
either way that drunk person shouldnt be driving ? smh
@@milodrinker174it wasn’t a drunk
I'm kind of annoyed that a lot of the staff here force Dr choi to compromise his beliefs as a doctor but when he tries to do it he's the bad guy.
Boy riding in the dark.. not her fault
Exactly that.
Facts. Wish the human mind and heart worked on logic and facts. When you make a mistake and someone else nearly or might suffer the ultimate price... you feel it in a way that logic and facts can't reason with. You want to pull out your heart and offer it to them. You can't do anything, and because you can't do anything your mind turns on you and you cannibalize your own sanity so that the world feels like it makes sense and punishment is at least being delivered, even if it doesn't feel like enough... it can never be enough.
When that boy woke up it was BOTH of them recovering. Don't fool yourself, until he woke up, she wasn't even breathing. That sigh of relief is the first breath shes taken since it happened. Guilt is a powerful thing... and in the moment, it doesn't matter if the mistake was your fault or not. It just hurts and it humbles you and it darkens your light.
Peace and love yall, hug your fam.
Yeah plus they said he wasn't wearing a helmet
@@cristalmewtwo4160 mmm!
@@cristalmewtwo4160 in the netherlands here it's normal to ride a bike without a helmet. Only elderly or people with epilepsy wear one
GOODWIN'S ACTRESS PERFORMANCE THO
S. Epatha Merkerson - veteran actor of US TV (and film). The Chicago series has a few veterans like this, which is one of the reasons why they're a good series overall.
Sog wes weg los so as dit die by my ons
Asog wes weg los so as die dit by my ons
It's people like Miss Goodwin that give me home in humanity. It's what I hope everyone can be like in life.
You have to feel for both Sharon and Wendy (mother). Sharon was doing everything right and still had the accident. and the mother just wants what's best for her kids. I'm glad they were able to reconcile at the end.
ngl I love Sharon and Ethans friendship, its so nice, I love her friendships with everyone tbf, like Connor, Daniel and will
One day I was driving and approaching an intersection. I wasn't driving fast because the street is narrow, there are cars parked on one side and electricity poles on the other. At the intersection, I don't have a stop. In the other direction, there are stops, and coming from the right, there is a slope that goes down towards the street where I am.
Children raced down that hill and across the street in front of me. I was far away, maybe 50 meters from the intersection, several seconds from the intersection. However, I was afraid. I could have been closer and hit all three of them. I will always remember it.
Never saw Goodwin that traumatized
I won't deny it, if I had hit the kid under the same circumstances as Ms Goodwin, I would've felt somewhat guilty.... Until she shouts at me for the first time. Then I would be like: "yo, it's not my fault you're not watching your kids either", which I know it wouldn't be okay, but I shouldn't have to deal with her guilty feelings
"I'm failing....." nearly broke me
that sudden movement of the boy's head and the call out in 7:10 literally jumpscared me
ITS ALIVE 😂
I wish it was easier and free to watch Chicago med rather than having to pay a load of money to watch even one season of it.
You're in the UK same as me are you? Have to pay for each episode of here sad as it seems a amazing program
Thesis or Pisces
😬If was on Goodwin's shoes, I wouldn't be even able to look my own shadow.
she deserves an award for the best acting in this episode !
This really melted my heart..
I'm happy that the child survived but imagine that hospital bill
Oh my goodness. This one broke my heart!
I mean the boy was riding a bike at night with no safety gear and was he in a main road to? And since no one was with the boy when they came in was he unattended?
Did you... watch the clip?
Miss goodwin is awesome ❤❤❤
Before even continuing this…it is clearly an issue of the USA not being able to properly help single parents. Even though now, with the abortion overruling, there’s going to be so many more.
It used to be funny to watch the absurdity of USA politics…now it’s just sad and pathetic to the rest of the world.
It isn't just single parents. The System in the USA fails society as a whole. They might be a front runner in terms of technology and entertainment but the system is failing people in general on a regular basis.
Sadly this not just the US. Australia used to have a good social service net for single parents. However it is just being whittled away as our governments emulate the American model.
@@brontewcat ugh, what a ridiculous model to emulate, when it’s thoroughly proven to ruin more lives than it saves…
@@Orinatl Don’t worry there is push back. It’s a sure fire way to undermine a policy for many.
I am surprised how many Americans are so clueless about the Supreme court sending the issue of Abortion back to the STATE governments to decide. It did not over rule anything. SH*T I don't even live there and I understand that it is now an issue you petition you're governor about. But how relevant is it to your life. Stop letting government distract you from the issues that hit You where You live.
Kids this is why you wear helmets.
Where I live there are helmet laws; it should be standard laws regardless of country - common sense.
@@hilaryc3203 In the UK there are general cycle laws. Keeping on the roads (or in designated cycle lanes if they're available), helmets, lights and reflective clothing at night, indicate turns with your arms, wear a helmet and I'm sure there's a few more but I can't remember them all. The only issue is, none of them are enforced.
@@hilaryc3203 I remember crimes were being committed by Motorcycle riders, taking advantage of the helmets obscuring their identities to the point that there was a law that passed, yes it passed, that riders should NOT be wearing helmets.
IDK if that law has been repealed or not.
@@bukalayzx What country would pass a law that forced motorcycle riders NOT to wear head protection?
@@hilaryc3203 It was a city ordinance, sorry I might have interchanged "law" and "ordinance"
She is a good mom I love here ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The kid’s little brother innocently asking “what’s wrong?” And “why is he sleeping?” Gets me a little. It has to be so difficult to try and explain to a little kid why their loved one is in a bed, covered in bandages or tubes and not waking up
4:14 that’s a supervillain origin story right there 😂
"driver will pay" lady, your kid wasn't obeying basic biking rules.
hit 1 million subs great work you totally deserve it 😁😁👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much!
Ms. Goodwin always has your back.
my heart broke so hard for her
No but why does dr Charles always walk in clueless and just like “ again? Why is everyone dying bro?” 😂😂
Poor Miss Goodwin.
This shows perfectly why you should wear a helmet if you are an idiot on a bike
i think it shows single parents on nighshift need childcare assistance when they're not home. kids at 10 don't really grasp risk the way adults do. just because they've been told something is dangerous doesn't mean they necessarily appreciate how big the danger is, nor do they really grasp that the danger is permanent
if it wasn't the bike it would have been something else eventually
And the car dependent infrastructure, no social security nets are the biggest problem. These are the things that just fly over the heads of people who drive mukti tonn SUVs
@@zilesis1 if someone dies like this then it’s clearly survival of fittest at work, if you are stupid enough to go on a bike at night, with no lights or helmet you deserved to get hit
In all the times I’ve seen an accident involving a bike, neither of the cyclists were wearing helmets
@zilesis1 unfortunately idiots on bikes aren't restricted to children. 28% of all cyclist accidents was because the cyclist didn't check their surroundings. Some of them even crashed into parked vehicles and street poles.
BRUH THE BROTHER OF THE KID WHO GOT HIT LOOKS LIKE THE CLONE OF ONE OF THE COPS OF CHICAGO PD I FORGOT HIS NAME 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Roman?

S. Epatha Merkerson - my favorite officer in Law & Order. now my favorite in Chicago Med. j.
How a kid ends up on a bike on the road at night without a helmet?? Sounds like it was beyond her control
Her having to support her kids isn’t her fault. But blaming someone else for the consequences is.
This is why you wear a helmet and if you're biking at night you wear a light or a reflective vest.
