I don't know if you will end up reading this but you Animenz inspired me to play piano. Regardless how I grew up with having FAS(Fetal Achohol syndrome) I still tried my best to play piano. I was always behind in my classes when I was growing up. I still tried. I one day saw your videos and saw how amazing your piano performances were. I was inspired so much that I even bought a 88 key digital piano. One day I was saddened that I couldn't play that much songs at all. I for sure had trouble learning but I didn't want my disablilty to stop me. I continued on through out my life growing up, and in time I got better at it so much. Finally I asked to play at one concert and when I did, everybody was so amazed how good I was. That was in my own community, I continued to do so too. I kept being told I inspired others. I heard many people wanted to play piano because of me, even families that had kids. Sometimes I play piano for others, and they love it alot. I mostly do improvisations mostly, but anyways I'm thankful to you animenz for inspiring me to play the piano. 🙂👍
Keep it going. Dont stop playing. Animenz also inspired me to continue playing piano. I started playing really young however, later on because of exams and sports I started to like the piano less and less. This was only because day after day I would practice to compete in classical competitions and exams which i was not a fan off. The only piano performance that does Homura justice! (I like cateen's too but somehow it doesn't hit the spot for me) Especially the way you played that last chorus at 3:30, it really brings out the emotions in the song. Can't wait for this on grand piano if possible 😭😍
An earlier arrangement version has even arpeggios mixed in for the final chorus in 3:30 but I omitted it because the sound was powerful enough already!

the m o o d lighting really takes this cover to another level 🔥. i really like the fiery color palette you chose for this one. Combined with the lovely music, it really creates such an immersive atmosphere for this cover. I applaud the decision to create a more stripped version without the usual volume of embellishments. It really allows the melody to resonate and shine through fully. Also, even on a stage piano, the wonderful preset combined with the signature Animenz touch makes it feel not too different than the usual Steinway grand sound. That being said, i hope you're able to get the grand back and set up soon! Til then, i'm looking forward to whatever you bring us next 🙂

Steinway please. Animenz has become one of the 'Steinway artists'. Yamaha and Steinway keyboard action response quite different though. And also the tonal quality from both the brands generally.
@JoanKSX yeah the Yamaha can be a bit more aggressive but the voicing makes a huge difference. My C6 sounds just like a model B but the action feels crispier
I don't know if you know Cateen, also known as Sumino Hayato, but he also did a beautiful arrangement of Homura. He's also classically trained, so it'd be so exciting to see the two of you do a collaboration of sorts.
I don't know why but at the end I was crying without noticing ,then my sibling came and told me "Why are you crying ? " And I was like : "I'm WhAt ? " (Btw your skills will always be amazing no matter what piano you use 😄)
I wish you would play 'for real' from Saiyuki (piano version) just once, you bring so much emotion and warmth into each song you play, I would just love to listen to your version! Can't wait to hear your grand piano! You have inspired me to continue playing piano since I stopped for over a year. It was because for piano class, I would just play piano books and they weren't even the ones that I would actually like (Turkish Dance, Brahm's Hungarian Dance No. 5, Moonlight Sonata, etc) and after rewatching NGE (I didn't really like it) but the OP was so nostaligic that I looked it up and found you and now here I am learning way more and I am now working on ear training to play by ear. So thanks to you many great things happened!!!
I'm so impressed how quickly and well you adjusted to your electric! The sound on the Steinway was definitely warmer, where I feel this one is more bright; but then you took advantage of that and somehow made your sound even cleaner! Your touch is genuinely amazing, I love how you could highlight the percussive parts of the piece and I'm so glad you're doing weekly uploads again!

Can't wait to hear your grand piano! You have inspired me to continue playing piano since I stopped for over a year. It was because for piano class, I would just play piano books and they weren't even the ones that I would actually like (Turkish Dance, Brahm's Hungarian Dance No. 5, Moonlight Sonata, etc) and after rewatching NGE (I didn't really like it) but the OP was so nostaligic that I looked it up and found you and now here I am learning way more and I am now working on ear training to play by ear. So thanks to you many great things happened!!!

I'm so impressed how quickly and well you adjusted to your electric! The sound on the Steinway was definitely warmer, where I feel this one is more bright; but then you took advantage of that and somehow made your sound even cleaner! Your touch is genuinely amazing, I love how you could highlight the percussive parts of the piece and I'm so glad you're doing weekly uploads again!
