    • @dorothyjaques74
      @dorothyjaques74 6 лет назад +3

      Wam even a squatter has personal space. No one deserves to have a microphone shoved in their face. Did the apartment owner see the camper take water? or is she assuming it was them? The camper is not living in the house, they are parked on lot. Why should the police get involved? Where is proof the the campers are squatters? Maybe the foreclosed property owners did give permission...what would they care, the bank is taking back the property anyway. Or maybe the campers are really house flippers and waiting to buy the property real cheap. The police don't know.

    • @dorothyjaques74
      @dorothyjaques74 6 лет назад

      leonel martinez , yes I watched the video. The video reported that the person walked across the street. The video did not state it was the same man that reported pushed microphone at. The reporter did invade that person's persknsl space.

    • @leonelmartinez2486

      Dorothy Jaques so even when hes stealing he shouldnt be asked questions?

    • @dorothyjaques74
      @dorothyjaques74 6 лет назад

      leonel martinez the reporter is not a police officer. the video explains that the police can not do anything so why does the reporter have the right to question? the video also explains that the police can not "kick off" the squatters without help from home owner. so again, how does the reporter know if that nan is a squatter or has permission from home owner?

    We had someone in our neighborhood that had his phone disconnect due to none payment. So when his neighbor wasn't home he ran a line over to her house. ( He hid it under the weeds and grass between their houses). She found out on one of the few nights she was home when she went to use the phone and heard him. She left and called police. She thought he was in her house. The police found the hidden line. Don't know what happend with that but he went to jail for other stuff.

    Squatting laws in this country are RIDICULOUS.
    I live in Idaho, one of the reddest states in America (or at least, it used to be) and we had a news story about a woman who discovered squatters in one of her properties and fought for MONTHS only to be told that she had no right to evict them. *THE HOME OWNER HAD NO RIGHT TO EVICT SQUATTERS FROM HER OWN HOME THAT SHE OWNS*

      It is a social issue, there is no question about it. People are out there because we’re not doing anything as a society to deal with homeless issues. We’re just like you making those statements that say “if only they worked harder and smarter they would be alright.”
      We put people in jail for non victim drug crimes and for just being homeless. We continue to make excuses that it costs a lot of money to take care of homeless yet we continue to fight wars and not take care of our veterans. Many veterans are homeless because of the lack of support needed for them.
      So yeah. It’s more than just a personal issue.

Squatters are the scum of the earth sovereign pieces of shit that are too God damned lazy to work for what they want...they'd rather steal it. Squatters should be dealt with like the vermin they are. Fortunately, most property owners are law abiding citizens and do not simply "dispose" of entitled squatters the easy way. Btw...yes, I do OWN my piece of earth my home is on, , the power in my outlets & water at my faucets is mine, once ot passes through the meter and God help whoever tries to take what is mine and what I pay for.

      Floyd R. Turbo thing with squatters is, if your boys bubba & junior let them get away...they'll be placing leins on your business & home, trying to have your 402k siezed etc. 99.9% of swuatters today are of the "sovereign citizen" variety. They're lazy and just smart enough to be a big pain in the ass. If you're going to start a business, it should be a squatter "extermination" business. The main tools of said business should be weighted, spiked bats, shovels & bags of lye. Instead of hiring bubba & jr...hire folks who's last names end in vowels.

    Even if you want to pay, you can't use cash, debit/credit card or even a check... has to be a cashier check... and on top of that... if you do pay, there's an absurd amount of extra fee's to pay...

    True story...When I was installing new digital water meters in a down river community near Detroit, an empty house needed a meter, so a real estate agent met me at the house with a key for the lockbox. During the install, the agent complained about high water bills, but the house was empty. I checked throughout the house for leaks, then went outside to do same, where, in the rear of the house, we discovered a hose leading to the backyard of the house behind. It was hooked to a faucet of the empty house, and the neighbor was filling his swimming pool and watering his lawn!!!

It can take months to get them out of your home. It's wrong. People think if you turn on the water, it'll spill over the cap. I believe the spinning cap is merely a covering over the actual device. The device hidden underneath is sealed tightly around the spigot, but the outside cap prevents anyone from turning it loose.
    I'm not sure, though, how the metal ring holding the padlock is attached to the device. Like, does it spin itself so that someone can't grasp the padlock and use it to spin the cap off?

      This isn't a "liberal" problem. Every state, in some form or another, has "squatters rights" laws on the books. Two very conservative states, Tennessee and Kentucky, had to change the laws to combat the problem. This crap happens in Texas, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and every other state. In fact, it happens in conservative states more often than liberal ones. Most of the time, squatters are affiliated with the sovereign movement. A right wing group. They believe that the government has grown too big and they rail against it. Sound familiar?

    Where I live they most certainly CAN do something! The neighbors can get their City to declare the foreclosed property as a nuisance, and then they send out the Nuisance Abatement Team in black camo, military boots and cameras with cops and weapons, to remove the squatters and board up the property. Eventually if the owners don't respond, their City can go through legal channels to either get owners to fix the problem, or the City can raze the property to the ground. I watched them do it a few blocks from me. It was great.

      Wow you clearly arent on the same realm as me .
      Water should be free.
      Oh but you talk about the pipes and the other things .
      The whole idea of when i say water should be free goes along with the fact that humans should help humans
      Example:
      Guy 1: hey we need a system to get fresh clean water to the general public, but how?
      Guy 2: OH just so happens i know construction and i know about how pipes work
      Guy 1: GREAT! i will pay you.
      Guy 2: Hah no dont pay me , We need this water to live
      Its not for you, its for us. I will use MY skills to help us all.

    I have had that problem. My neighbor hooked a hose to my spicket I don't use it much. I called the police and unhooked the hose twice. With in hours it would be hooked back up. I took off the handle and the neighbor just used pliers. I got one of those locks and it was cut. After the 6th or 7th time the officer told me I could cut the hose so I did. And again with in an hour a different hose was there. I finally got a plumber to put a shut off valve in so I could control the water to the spicket. Then the neighbor just started doing it to the old woman on the other side of him. My water tripped in the 2 months I was trying to keep the guy off my water. That's what got me looking at my plumbing. I will admit I have knocked on doors when walking my dog for a little bit of water but if no one answered I did not take water. And I have asked businesses for tap water for my dog but I have never taken any

      ROTAXD in the United States we don’t take care of mentally ill people or have welfare systems to help them transition or live their lives. We just (you’re a prime example of this) dust of our hands and expect other people to handle this problem.
      48% of cities that have a homeless problem say that mental illness is the number one problem of homelessness by far. We continue to say no we’re not going to handle it and spend money pampering rich.
      If we actually paid attention to this we would be spending less as a society on police, jails, property damage, amongst other things. But we’re so ignorant that we believe welfare costs so much money we’ll go into debt in a few years.
      I have some news for your bud. We spends trillions of dollars on military and rich cronies and everyone seems to be doing ok. We don’t get anything back from them since they ship their jobs to other countries.

      silencedknight let me guess...laziness = mentally ill.
      Drug adled= mentally ill
      Entitled = mentally ill.
      Squatters are entitled assholes who feel as though other peoples private property & laws do not apply to them. Trust me, the mentally ill may be panhandling, but they're not squatting.

    • @silencedknight
      @silencedknight 7 лет назад

      Wow, you must be trolling, you have to be, there's absolutely NO way you could be this fucking stupid. Honestly statements like this reflect on society pretty darn well. This could NOT have been farther away from the truth.
      If you do a little bit of research instead of just blabbering on about what you see on Fox news or troll articles, you will understand that mental illness isn't a choice. Many people unfortunately think that mentally ill is a choice and actually use the excuse you typed up above because its the easiest way for your brain to comprehend it. Either you're trolling or you've never set foot inside a mental hospital, classroom, or even volunteered community service with people that are handicapped.
      You're totally fine with people going to jail for mental illness than receiving treatment and having the proper support to be able to function in society. We spend roughly about 100,000 a year on people that go to prison/ jail and we spend a fraction of that amount helping people up on their feet. We would be SAVING money by helping people and making sure they get the proper treatment instead of putting them away in jail.
      But oh dear, you're brain can only comprehend that if you're homeless, you must be lazy. It's just an excuse so you can keep saying NO to Welfare and NO to government. You're honestly really sick dude.
      To this end, I haven't mentioned other problems with homelessness such as: Domestic Violence, Drug abuse, Healthcare, and the lack of the affordability of housing in that area. Yes, I'm sure you'll come up with an excuse for each one, please keep them coming I will have a response for you. If you have any articles I can read on this topic, please bring this forward so I can refute them. Just because you bring up up the one answer you have for homelessness which is laziness, it doesn't make the other reasons for homeless invalid.
      Not to mention the fact, you're DENYING the research that has been done. Here take a look at these articles:
      facts.net/homelessness/
      www.nationalhomeless.org/factsheets/Mental_Illness.pdf

      silencedknight I've been "dealing" with squatters for a number of years now. I could not give two shits what leftist researchers claim to have concluded. Why ? Because most of these people are finding what the people who are paying them tell them to find. Not one of them likely has any real world experience dealing with these entitled scum. I do. Until you've dealt with them trying to shoot or stab you while you're trying to remove them from a clients property is most certainly not the act of a disabled person. Claiming ownership of a property, or in reality, filing suit to take ownership of a property because "they warched the place" is not the act of a mentally disabled person. Stealing water while in posession of a decent vehicle as the scum in this video were doing is again, not the act of a mentally disabled person. Let's be clear here, we're not talking about some vet with ptsd or an unmedicated schizophrenic here. Those folks have actual issues and need a hand up...but those folks are highly unlikely to be squatters in a property that is not condemned.

      2) squatters are all, at best scam artists who will ALWAYS bite the hand that feeds them. She lets them have water today, "tomorrow" they'll be squatting in one of her units and suing because they got hurt on her property.

    In Texas if a house is in foreclosure and then the mortgage company goes out of business a squatter can have an opportunity to take ownership of the home by a law named adverse possession they by printing an online form and filing it at the local court house you can buy a home that cost thousands of dollars for just 16 bucks which is the court cost. If the owner of the house wanted the squatter out of the house squatter would not be arrested the owner would need have to pay off the foreclosure amount and go to court because possession of the house is a civil matter not a criminal one but if no action is taken after 3 years of residing there the squatter can ask the court for the deed to the house which at that time is considered abandoned.

I special ordered my plant so I know she didn't order one just like it.It's starting to grow and look like a minnie version of mine. Then I was with my daughter in the house and I said I hear what sounds like someone taking a shower but no one was using water. Then I put two and two together. Could it really be my neighbor? Yes. So now if I hear water suddenly running, I'll be running outside.

    If you look at it they can still turn the valve and the water can still come out, it will just take longer to get the water with that thing blocking the opening. You have to lock the valve, prevent the crackheads from being able to turn the valve. That lock covering the opening does nothing but just slow down the flow of water coming out.
