Tomboys were the down to earth girls next door in the 90s. A chick on a skateboard was just awesome chick. A gay dude wasn't a dude that acted gay because he adopted it as a major part of his personality, he was just a regular dude that was gay. I don't know why things got so complicated since then.

It does kind of feel like they’re trying to trans the gay away in the youth. A little girl that has more masculine qualities could be a lesbian or just a tomboy. Because they like more masculine things doesn’t mean that they want to be a boy and vice versa. It’s okay to be gay. I wish they would just leave leave the kids alone. Let them grow up to be who they are going to be and they can decide when they’re an adult.

But in the other hand, I just wish for people to respect my identity, I know I'll never be a "real" man and I don't want to force any ideology into anyone. All I want is be myself.

I’m a tomboy too, though on the spectrum you’re probably a little more butch and I’m probably a little more fluid. My day to day wear is basketball shorts or jeans, but I do like to dress up now and again, and I like to keep my hair longer than a “boy cut.” I always loved braiding my hair, always hated dolls and certain “girly things.” Dresses were touch and go, I hated bright pink and excessive frills but always enjoyed a hippie sun dress or a long black dress haha
I totally appreciate what you’re saying here. While I never personally framed it to myself as “wanting to be a boy” (I knew I wanted to keep my body parts) I always wondered what it would be like to be a shapeshifting magician who could be a boy or girl whenever I want. That is a neat thought spiritually and artistically, but ultimately, I would not want to permanently alter my body and lose the body I have.
I am a woman, biologically. My fit are a little big for a girl but I’m a female. And that doesn’t bother me at all, never has. I’m glad nobody put it in my head as a child that it has to bother me just because I like some sports and some “boy things” and my favorite color is blue and I like cozy clothes 😂
I think children should just be allowed to be children and only decide if they want to change genders when they become adults, and that even adults should probably go more the haircuts and clothes route rather than surgical alteration because there’s a lot of evidence it doesn’t actually help and has all sorts of side effects.
I feel like there should be two main sexes, and that “intersex” (hermaphrodite) should be recognized as a 3rd rare but valid category for people to prevent childhood genital operations and HRT on intersex children and let them choose if they’re male or female or still a hermaphrodite when they become adults. I believe nobody, whether a hermaphrodite or a boy or girl, should be forced to have medical interventions as a child. (Intersex interventions don’t cure infertility or other issues, they’re purely cosmetic and social, just like trans procedures).
I think we need to culturally steer away from seeing transgender as a medical or mental health issue (body dysmorphia impacts everyone, women who have eating disorders, men who take performance enhancers, to this current transgender phenomenon) and understand that self harm would go down with less bullying of butch girls and flamboyant or effeminate boys, and less indoctrination. I think we need to go back to seeing transgender as a spiritual or aesthetic phenomenon, something that people do either for aesthetic expression or because they align more spiritually and personality wise with feminine or masculine personality and want to match their expression to their interior. Drag queens and butch women have been relentlessly bullied throughout history, so instead of accepting their body and personality combo, they want to go to a doctor to “fix” it now. Except that doesn’t fix the real problem. These androgynous or cross-dressing groups were never a problem to begin with, we just made it a problem for a long time. Now that it’s no longer a problem to a lot of people, it’s like the people who are still stuck in the trauma or with a bigoted environment go searching for a medical solution. This can’t be solved that way.

While this isn't about asexuals, I do want to mention this as i think it may important. Meanwhile, asexuals are just slowly becoming our own community, because people in and out of the queer community pushed us out of conversations and the overall meaning of being "queer." It's gotten to the point where we've been silently forgotten. LGBA? The A is for who, again? QIA+? Depending on who you talk to, the A is for Ally, because asexuals are on thin-frikin-ice. We didn't ask for this, we surely support everyone, but sadly we got shadow banned jsut being ourselves.
Idk why- maybe it's because we lost the struggle competition, or that there's no way to act or be visually "asexual," or that it's "boring" to be ace and we ruin the fun for those who want to get lusty, or since we're simply not the loudest party.
There's quite a lot to learn from asexuality, but we don't (for the most part) force asexuality on others. Sure, it could get complex as 'asexual' is an umbrella term, but you don't HAVE to engage in the in-depth aspect if you don't want to.

Amir… I freaking love your channel! I am a conservative, Bible believing , Jesus loving Christian. When I became a father, I started actually adulting. Before that I never really cared a whole lot about politics, social issues, finances, and so on… But, as my kids are getting older and I think about the future world they are coming in to, and the things I’m seeing in our community here now, I’ve started to become much more involved in what’s going on. Being able to pick through all the different beliefs, through the deceit, through chaos and confusion that has been growing in our country and the world at large has been quite difficult for me. It has seriously challenged some of my own beliefs, of course, and solidified others. But, I have to say that your channel has been a great help to me in understanding some issues, especially recent political ones, that I have had a hard time in finding truth and understanding. I love the way you present things and you are a pleasure to watch!
I believe we are in a spiritual battle. I believe that as we move further away from what God has revealed to us in scripture, the further our hearts are darkened. My heart aches for the people who are being swept away by these ideologies that have been created by people who care nothing for the people that they affect. I was swept away ( unrelated to the topic of this video) when I was young and Jesus was the only one that restored me to sanity. Trust me I tried everything else. So, I continue to put my trust in Him, and for anyone who may be reading this, I implore you to do the same. People may let you down, but He will not. Jesus calls us to love God, love our neighbor, and to pray for our enemies. If the TQI+ community is claiming love, but exercising hate on the LGB community and children, I ask that we pray for them instead of hate back, and fight for what’s right, and good, and true.
Recently, my company had sent out a company wide email inviting any who wishes, to help volunteer in the local Pride Parade. I asked one of my gay coworkers about his thoughts on the current Pride movement, and his sentiments were pretty much spot on to what you’ve outlined here! He told me that he wouldn’t be able to be here in this country, together with his husband, if same-sex marriage had not been advocated for by the “original” Pride movement. We both came to the conclusion that the movement has diverted from its original intent.
It is my understanding that, “sex” must be considered an immutable attribute in order to be considered a civil right, thus making same-sex marriage a civil right. But, if half of the Alphabet Community is advocating that sex is fluid and not immutable, then they are counter to same-sex marriage, and all of the rights that go with it. While I believe “marriage”, as we know it now, is a Judeo-Christian institution between a man and a woman, I do believe that it goes against the American Constitution, to deny a couple their rights to the pursuit of happiness, because sex IS immutable and grounded in reality, regardless of orientation, and to deny these rights goes against the American dream. To have a healthy lifelong relationship, you need to be able to share property, finances, family visitation rights, taxes and so on! I am glad that my coworker is here in America with his loved one, even though I may not agree with some of his choices.
Keep fighting the good fight Amir, and I pray for the success of what’s good, true, and beautiful for our country ❤

What we're seeing is Floodgateism. In that; when you open the floodgates, it's extremely hard to shut them again when you have thousands of gallons of water rushing through it.
The same is for ideology; when you open your community to multiple ideologies and groups of people, it's like you're opening the floodgates for all these different, and sometimes conflicting ideas, and it's very difficult to close these Floodgates again when you have thousands of voices loudly expressing how everyone in this community should act.
And what you started with might have been one thing, but now it's full of different ideas, some of which being at odds with each other, you start to find that what you had to begin with has started to change and lose its original identity.
Which is ironic, seeming as it's literally identity, which is the core issue here.

You can wear dirty work overalls and wear makeup and paint your nails. You can wear a skirt and be a man without it meaning anything.

I'm not gay myself, but I grew up in the community. My mom is gay, some of my best life mentors are gay, i've had dozens of gay friends throughout my life, and I've always stood by the side of let all people have the same rights across the board. I can't bring myself to agree with what the TQ+ are trying to push. I've tried.
I've tried to view it from a point of understanding. I've tried to view it from the point that I might be wrong, but I simply cannot bring myself to agree with a lot of what they stand for. Mind you, if an adult has put in the proper effort; going to doctors, going to therapists, thinking introspectively, and have come out on the other side of it believing they exist in the wrong body, while I can disagree with it from my own viewpoint, (assuming they're otherwise good person) I'm not going to treat that person any differently than I would anybody else. My issue comes majorly from the people who hide behind the shield of "trans rights and phobias" to defend stances that affect children and the overall good of society. My issue comes from the stances the community takes on pushing their ideologies on impressionable and confused children and teenagers. My issue comes from the people who will call you phobic for disagreeing that children shouldn't be allowed to make decisions about their bodies before they can even legally vote. But most of all, my issues lie with the people who support these people by defending their actions under the veil of 'trans rights'.
Nobody is telling you that you can't make these decisions as an adult. Nobody is saying that you can't live your life. Stop forcing us to use language that you make up on the spot one day. Stop putting books about your ideas into schools where children are already confused about what's expected of them as sexual partners. It's disgusting, and only serves to harm whatever positive moral compass you may still hold the right to.

So this is my first time watching Amir's content and the title was intriguing so I thought I'd check it out. I don't identify with anything inside the LGBTQ+ community but I've definitely felt that in recent years the back half of those letters has become an anchor for the front half. Their actions are painting the gay and bisexual community in a bad light and it's very unfortunate that they've all been lumped in together. I know we all like to hear validation of our opinions but it was nice to finally see someone from the community echo my thoughts. I can't even pretend to understand the experiences of a non-straight, non-gender confused individual but to hear that just from observation I've come to the correct conclusion, I certainly feel more connected with the LGB community than ever. Also, the way Amir delivered the news and his little quips were making me laugh the whole time. Especially the taco/churro analogy. Top-tier comedy man, keep up the good work.

I see it differently. Trans people were there from the beginning, though in smaller numbers and less known of then versus now. It was around the time that being anti-gay marriage wasn't driving people to the polls anymore that trans people entered into the right's political spotlight as the "newest form of degeneracy" to go after.
Also, back when queer folk were being oppressed by Nazis and the like, they made no distinction between one type of "queerness" and the other. It was all the same to them. The trans people were in the background of the gay rights movement the whole time. And now the gays are willing to abandon their trans allies the moment they obtained the slightest hint of acceptance from society. As if they're suddenly elavated above them, when they were in the same situation before.
Everything that's being said now of trans people was said of gays before.
