They remind me of some cathedral hands I’ve seen, but not quite as ornate. My first auto was an Orient Mako 1, some 12 years ago, which I still have. I’ve owned my Omega Chronostop for nearly 50 years, and had several quartz watches more recently. Got the bug to get another mechanical, and now have a carefully curated collection of micros and not-so-micros, mechanical and quartz.
My first "real" watch was a Citizen Pro master diver with a quartz movement. Still love it! Have a couple of Citizen Eco-drive watches too, works great!
This Invicta look good, despite the fact that it is almost a copy of the Seiko 👍 Having a reliable japanese movement is a good thing and it is for sure a nice start in the watch hobby and automatic watches. This one would be a great present for my brother 😊 My first watch was a Seiko 5 - SNXF07. Today it is 17 years old. It is on a jubilee bracelet and I changed the scratched mineral crystal for a sapphire crystal.
The watch which brought me to the world of watches was Invicta 8926OB, the submariner homage. I keep it up to day because it gives me a lot of fun when on the wrist.
I was really considering Prodiver model but this desing got me more. Nice looking watch and hope can be my first automatic watch. Thanks for the presentation and giveaway
Forgot to mention in my last comment- THANK YOU for the giveaway! I do like that bowl chapter ring on the Signature and like how the batons are huge which makes the day/date blend in better with the dial, the blade hands are nice too
Recently addicted to watches, ready to get started with a mechanical, looking at a dresskx, but the Invicta 1953 is a close second pick, the Signature is similar with same size and lack of cyclops, would be a nice first mechanical
I admit I think of Invicta for their very "garish" watches, as you put it. And that's not my thing! This model is far more restrained than their usual practice, and yet you can see they pushed the limits with the large hour markers and "beefy" bezel dial. I can't understand how they can offer this with the Seiko movement for that price point. Impressive.
Definitely - especially considering they sell to a retailer who then has to make a profit and sell it on to the customer. Price per unit of manufacture must be super low 😅
This is a great size at 40mm, I think it would look really good paired with a black rubber dive strap too. My first automatic was an SKX009, still wear it and still runs great
I finally found this watch new and must say i love it..wish it came in an all black with silver accents..the monster dial combined with the mother of pearl with the added day date even the back glass for personal flare seriously had everything i was looking for in a watch....got the black and gold version as well but this one is my everyday watch an obvious mix of many inspirations of different watches to make this one one lovely unique piece
Ive loved watches all my life but the one that started my collection was a happy feet monster😍 The pro divers are good watches for their price imo.. Thank you for the giveaway! 😊
Swiss American Japanese That weak mineral glass can be modified replaced by sapphire glass for Seiko's Seiko means Exquisite and Invicta, Invictus means Invincible, love it. Haute Horlogerie as an investment is just another headache and big lost. To me only fools spending huge money for so called fancy brands, I used to collect watches and only waste of money to resell, lessons learned.
Bad lume kills a dive watch. Save the money and buy a Seiko. It's a bad move for Invicta to remove the yellow rotor. It was the only thing that made them a bit interesting.
Yeah I mean there's a lot of choices for a little extra cash that'll offer great lume but still be cheaper than Seiko 5s and offer better water resistance...I suppose it's all down to how much you want to spend. Agreed on the yellow rotor 😅 cheers for the comments 🙂 🍻
@@nextonthewrist Yes, sure, though I didn't mean a Seiko 5 that's not a dive watch either. I meant a Prospex diver. Of course they're even more expensive! Excuse my nitpicking but I'm a diver myself and as I use them as dive computer backups, they should be perfect! 😁 But you're right, it's a good price though I think you can do a lot better than Invicta, for example some of the Chinese brands like Steeldive and Heimdallr which I've actually used too with great lume and water resistance. Can't beat Seiko though for real ISO safety and reliability at a reasonable price.
Out of curiosity have you tried the Citizen fugu divers? I picked one up a few months back and I find it comparable to the Seiko prospex range but definitely not better as much of the internet would have you believe 😅

The mako is another one of those great entry pieces 👍 I had to Google the chronostop - that is a really cool vintage piece. Cheers for the comments 🍻
@eatswodo Congrats, check the video tomorrow but the watch is yours 🙂🍻
@@nextonthewrist YAY!! I was seriously contemplating adding a Pro Diver to the collection, but this will fit the bill very nicely. Thanks! (EDIT)
My first "real" watch was a Citizen Pro master diver with a quartz movement. Still love it! Have a couple of Citizen Eco-drive watches too, works great!
Eco-drives are such a good all round movement for a daily watch 👍
Wow I'm surprised how much I like this. Designs and homages aside, invicta quality is fantastic value
Looks like Invicta still has some good value. Thanks for the review and for the giveaway!
The Invicta watch show in this video is a surprisingly good looking watch that I would consider purchasing.
Looks like sward hands, but the lume makes the tips look a bit like philips screwdriver tips... 😊
Perfect description 😄
I’m with you on the idea of this being a great starter watch, and a good easy entry into the hobby!

It's awesome to have something for 17 years and still be enjoying it and even upgrading it. 🍻 👏
Seiko 5 got me hooked on the hobby. Great looking watch . Really love affordable automatics
this is a Seiko 5 at the heart of it
這7041我已經買了,很喜歡,你拍攝這視頻令這7041更加漂亮,我把它全拋光,很美....
The watch which brought me to the world of watches was Invicta 8926OB, the submariner homage. I keep it up to day because it gives me a lot of fun when on the wrist.
Same model for me, I kind of regret selling it now as I'd enjoy having it to look back on. Glad you kept yours 🙂👍

Good entry level watch to start a collection.

Perhaps the SKX will go down as the best starter automatic watch of all time 🤔... This definitely would look great on black rubber 👍
This is a class watch. Very nice👌
Thanks, I have one on order ... i hope to like it
I'm sure you'll really enjoy it 🙂 it's hard to pick fault at the price 🙌

easy to find all kinds of ProDiver with only the date complication, way harder to find the Signature with the Day/Date .... all Seiko inside boyz
Ive loved watches all my life but the one that started my collection was a happy feet monster😍
The pro divers are good watches for their price imo..
Thank you for the giveaway! 😊
That's an awesome start into watch collecting 😁 love the prospex monsters!
@@nextonthewrist thank you! Since then i added a 2nd gen ion monster, brand new with stickers from a private collector.. 😍
Looks great!
Seiko kinetic was my first "proper" watch.

Diminishing returns yes, but not sure I agree at all on your dismissal of pricier pieces. Appreciate the comments though. 👍

Invicta gets more hate than they deserve. They makes watches of all kinds, including some pretty good ones
