I know I'm super super late to the party but i'm about to buy a pair of these but i don't have an amp for headphones. Do these sound good still without an amp plugged into a laptop/phone?
No surprise, Beyer is more of a utilitarian brand, the only HP for music enjoyment that I have my eyes on is the T1 2nd Gen, though I haven't listened enough to it yet. Everything else I'd put under studio or gaming (Tygr) usage.
Got one question, MrAyrit. How does it compare to the hd 660s? Which will be the safer bet if I listen to genres like classical, classic rock, blues/soul? I have sold my Sundaras so looking for a new hp to pair with my Hiby R6 2020. Thanks!
@@kjg_95 I'd say that's a pretty subjective thing. I'd say with stock pads the 660s. If you put some Dekonis on the 1770 then I'd give the nod to those.

The reason why the cables weren’t compatible is because the 177x GO are balanced and have 4 pins instead of 3 on the 1770 pro :)
I should have looked closer!
I can't wait to see your review on the 177x go!
Coming soon!
I feel compelled to like a closed back headphone - and or noise canceling type. Someday....maybe
They’re out there, but harder to find.

I can barely hear what’s coming out of my 1770s.
What headphone amp are you using?

I think the 660s is a much safer bet. The 1770 pro was not my favorite although it was pretty impressive in some respects.
@@MrAyrit which one is more comfortable?

Just to throw another option out, I preferred the 177x Go over the 1770 pro, and it comes with some nice comfy pads.
@@MrAyrit 177x is not an option in India.
I'm getting both the 1770 and the 660s used for the same price.
Do you test dt1990?
Yeah, there’s a review for them on the open back playlist. It’s probably from around a year ago.
