Hi there, thanks for watching! If you're confused by the channel name, don't worry -- I'm still creating similar videos (but under the name MrsCrunchy)! All the subscribe links still work, and I'll still see your comments/questions.
I just bought them and i can’t believe how quickly they cook. I love the texture and flavor. Definitely getting more and making them regular part of my diet.
I've taken (different kinds including shiitake) dried mushrooms... placed them in my blender-powder them.. place the powder in veggie capsules then take them... No issues thus far...no stomach issues etc
@@rooseveltday6687 Still beneficial, but dried shiitakes and other mushrooms are even better if you pressure cook them.Breaks down the cell walls to release more nutrients. Then blend down, and dehydrate, then powder.✌️
Great video ! I appreciate you sharing the background info about the mushrooms because it seems difficult to find any updated info about benefits of mushrooms. I definitely just subscribed to your channel...lol
I ate two of them dried. The flavour was very nutty and tasty..... but afterwards I felt first light headed, then pain in the stomach. I thought I might vomit, so I drank powdered kaolin and activated charcoal dissolved in water, and several more of the charcoal capsules. I wont ever eat them dried again.
Great video! I have heard you can sun dry mushrooms with the gills facing to the sun to get maximum amount of vitamin D. Your advice solidifies this idea. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the good information on Shiitake Mushrooms. Today I tried them in a soup for the first time And they’re absolutely delicious. Taste a lot like steak … I didn’t know about the health benefits Thanks again.
Merci beaucoup, ici en france difficile à trouver j ai trouve une petite boîte de champignons shiitakes, mais ils sont petits et séchés, mais sans doute pas au soleil. Bye.

My unofficial, non-nutritionist answer: from what I've heard, most things will lose some nutritional value when cooked due to the higher temperatures. However, cooking methods such as steaming or boiling are better for preserving the nutritional content of a food (as opposed to sauteing, frying, etc.). I would think this would be especially true if you're drinking the broth!
Shiitake are amazing, but rhe chicken and bone broth are full of oxidised cholesterol and lead.Especially bone broth,as lead accumulates in animal bones.
@@MrsCrunchy Both lead and oxidised cholesterol definitely have adverse health effects. As can mushrooms, depending on what they're grown on.Thanks for your reply.✌️

Oh wow. I'm sorry that happened to you! I've never eaten them dried -- I've always soaked and re-constituted them.
@@MrsCrunchy yeah, so good in ramen, broken in bits, I add also mini dried frozen squids

Dry like marijuana growers choice hang up side down, on a wire clothes line, a fan blowing for air movement, in 20 day's mushrooms will be dry.

You're welcome! They do have a meaty quality don't they? Good for you for trying something new!
I ate a bag of dried shitake once. I felt so alert, yet calm. Its like the buzz caffeine gives you, with none of the jitters and incontinence.
Nice. Thanks for sharing your experience here!
Breakfast fry them in butter, add 2 eggs scramble them and add salt pepper yummy********* Good Health******

Which tastes better: Dried shitake "shrooms," or mouldy cardborad?
Having never tasted moldy cardboard, I'm going to have to go with dried shiitakes.
Wow thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Do you know if you already have some plaque build up in your blood lines will the Shiitake, loosen the plaque and cause a stroke or I hope not
Great question! I would check in with your trusted medical provider for that one.
I'm about to stop eating meat. I like to eat this kind of mushroom so much that I came to study its benefits. Thank you for explaining.
Hi!! 😀Loved this so much! Can you post a link to the seller where you bought the Korean brand shitake mushrooms please? Thank you so much!😀

Thanks for the tip. I guess everyone's situation is different, and they should monitor their levels to see whether or not this has an adverse effect.
